Every dollar is essential when trying to support oneself and one's family on a minimum wage basis. Everyone is responsible for this shitty economy. If you cannot afford to by a house, student loan, car, etc, it's your responsibility not to borrow money from a bank or from anyone. The bank is wrong to lend money to unqualified people, but also people should not borrow money when they know they can't pay it back.

@sirjamez41 The majority of these loans were considered "predatory lending". That is a fact. Did people screw up? Of course. But when the banks act irresponsibly they get a bailout and one of the stipulations is that congress cannot ask what was done with the money. Then when people fall on hard times these banks, whom took our money for help, give us no leeway whatsoever. That is unfair.

wrong: it IS the fault of the banks. The banks stole trillions of dollars including her wages so that they could be protected illegally, THEN they try to take her house. If they hadn't been bailed out she'd have her wages 100% and the banks would fail so her mortgage would be delayed or cancelled. That's how capitalism really works.
