it's almost as though he had a premonition that he was going to die the next day. his eyes were teary and his voice shook a bit. the most inspiring speech i have ever heard. i have gone to the mountaintop......... amazing
Yea This speech I like better than the I Have A Dream speech even though both of them are powerful and the truth. I cant remember but isnt the Mountain Top speech the one he did entirely by memory? and whats with the I Am Legend music?
Martin Luther King is and will always remains my man. As a Messenger of The Almithy God, he should know the coming of his hour to go back to The Father. We must follow him, and stand up for more justice worldwide, knowing that one day we'll have to stand before God and give an account of our life to Him. This was not created by the capitalist and all the devil angels. God has created the world and everythings belongs to Him.
The crazy thing is, this was April 3rd, on April 4th just a little after 6pm, MLK was assassinated, its as if he knew that "THEY" were coming for him.
Greatest 20th century man hands down. It's hard to believe but he probably did more for white america than African Americans eventhough their right were not being walked on. Goes to show the greatness of the man.
I still can't get over the fact that he was killed less than 24 hours after this speech. He said: "Like anybody I would like to live a long life." I have seen the promise land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promise land." It's almost like he knew he wouldn't live to see the fruits of his labor. We as black people have come a long way but if MLK Jr were alive today he would probably say there is still much work to be done.
Martin Luther King Jr. was like the prophets of the bible like John the baptist, Isiah, Job, King David, and Elijah. He was sent here by God to do his will. Anybody that tells me God doesn't exist i tell them go listen to Martin Luther King speak and the tell me that is not God talking through him the way he did the with the prophets of the bible? I am 21 Hispanic male and he was fighting for my rights too. This man is one of my great heroes. R.I.P. to one of God's greatest prophets.
{I am 21 Hispanic male & he was fighting for my rights too}
You're absolutely correct. Many people perceive that his objectives were solely for benefiting Blacks. However, if the path which he illuminated would have continued to be followed by the nation, the destination would have benefited all people. That's why the dark, infiltrator powers assassinated him. After snuffing out the light which he emitted, they proceeded by misguiding the nation with subversive ideologies
Yes, His eye tell the truth, I know he seen the Promise Land, Cause I heard the voice of Jah 5 year ago, spoke to I, feed the hunger, sick and the poor. Then Jah called in my dream Prophet Zechariah over and over until I would up i went back to sleep and Jah called again louder and louder Prophet Zechariah. This was before Obama was elect president. INI doing my study itinually. I'm a rasta. Tribe of Judah. Jah is still calling our people to come to Almighty

You can see it in his eyes, but his words are FAR more revealing. If you are familiar with the Biblical allusion you realize he is literally predicting his death.
In the Bible God tells Moses that because of a particular act of disobedience he committed, he would not be allowed to enter with the Israelites into the Promised Land. God then takes Moses up to a high mountain and allows him to see the Promised Land from a distance. Moses died shorty after.
I kind of feel like an asshole saying this, but I'm glad they killed him. That made him a martyr and he was infinitely more powerful as one. He obviously knew it was coming anyway. The guy that killed him was literally insane and stupid. By the way, drop the cheesy inspirational music, I don't need anymore inspiration.

Eisenhower warned us... Kennedy, King, and others have since been assassinated for fighting for these very principals. As I listen to this speech, I can't help but notice how we have REgressed since this time, in the sense that we all are losing rights at an alarming rate. no longer is it a racial issue (although it is portrayed as such), it's an issue for the USA and for the world. Tyranny and opression are no longer being kept in check by America, instead America is perpetuating it, sad to say
I'm not black but I respect this man,he could have made the world alot better than it is now.even though his speeches aren't directly toward me I'm moved by them.
Where are the strings from his arms and legs? OMG! he actually has real ideas and passions!
What? no f--king teleprompter? OMG! OMG! I can't believe it!!... he is actually speaking from his heart to the people?
i wasn't alive then but it makes me cry now to think that at that point in time the world was on a transitional highway, it could have turned left or it could have turned right...which ever way it went...i feel it turned wrong...then the road collapsed behind us...
@BrianHamiltonTV Mlk was and is an inspiration in his speeches you are right his words are timeless unlike obama...its an insult to MLK and his legacy to even put obama in the same breathe with MLK.
