  • i could NOT let my child do that, ever.

  • @starrrrgasmm you should... to show them they aren't afraid of the water like most people do! because they never learned when they were younger, so while they are young it's important for you're child to go through this.. you dont want you're kids to be scared of water. if you never do that, what would happened when they are like 5 0r 6 years old.. they wouldnt want to go in the water, DUH!

  • i think is something everyone should do, its not cruel, its teaching kids a form of survival at the end of the, water is a danger to all of us, a kid can drown in an inch of water and also, the earlier they start, the better it is, that way they will not scared of water as they grow up, lets not even bring the point of how they lived in our wombs

  • ka cute kau ani ui

  • the baby is relaxin cuz its peeing while in water.

  • This is so smart. I seen a video of a baby falling into a pool and swimming back up to the top and managing to float on its back and screetch for survival and I know a baby who recently drowned from falling into a hot tub. I don't see why people aren't praising this? Babies can fucking swim!!! I find this amazing.

  • That baby is the next phelps

  • my mistake? no sir, i am aware that babies have this capability due to the fact that they are able to swim in amniotic fluid in the womb.are you a woman, have you felt a baby swim inside of you?

i was simply stating the fact that when my brother first went into the water he was only one year old and not trained as you do in sweden.

  • this will forever be creepy to me

  • ALL FOR YOU PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. Torturing FOR CHILDREN FROM INFANT SWIMMING CAN. EDUCATE THE CHILDREN ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN TO BE GOOD, NOT AGAINST THE PARENTS, PARENTS HEAR WORD, AND WITH family love. TEACH SWIMMING NO GOOD. THIS is cruel. CHILDREN SEE THAT HE difficult to breathe, his stomach began to swell. OH MY GOD MY SON IS VERY SAD TO SEE. meditate

  • @junniquilent801 babies need to swim. do you have a child? if so then how will you teach your child to swim? its very difficult to swim when they are around 3 or 4 years old. babies need to swim its not cruel. teaching them to swim is the only way i suggest you dont have children cuz then you'd probably keep them away from water. did i ever metioned that your mom might have done the same thing to you when you were a baby? my mom did that and im still alive. dont like dont watch.

  • @xoxoblackroses15xoxo okay. I understand your intent. I will teach my child to swim when he was big or old enough to be practiced. I do not want to force like the one in this video is still a baby has been tortured. I'm sad, I feel strange with this video.

  • @junniquilent801 well that sucks for you. this is the only way to teach a baby to swim. but like i said dont watch videos with babies init. cuz if your child starts to yell at you for not teaching him to swim when he was young. who's fault would that be?

  • @xoxoblackroses15xoxo I do not need my child can swim. I want him to honor his parents, his god, and those around him. swim problem was that the 1000 affair for me. I basically do not want to torture my son like that. if I want my child to swim very well, maybe not when she was younger than 4 years. :)

  • @junniquilent801 thats very understandable then. ^_^

  • OMG!!!!! SAVE the BABY!!!

  • ohmagodsocute

  • Theyre not throwing their babies in the water.. They're being very sweet with them.

  • this is amazing, but i would never, ever, ever, ever let my baby swim like this. my brother got thrown in the pool when he was a baby and he has been scared of the water ever since.

  • @calimilner That´s your mistake. In Sweden, where I´m from, baby swim is common, and the kids LOVE it :). Whenever you go too a public pool you´ll see this. Infants are able to swim and to hold their breath automatically from birth, but if you don´t exercise this ability, they will loose it. This is something all Swedish parents know and one of the reasons to why all adults in Sweden knows how to swim.

  • i did this with my baby drowned geuss it was autistic

  • WTF...

  • I wish i did this with my child when she was young, it builds up a trust between parents and baby in my eyes

  • This freaks me out, I don't think I would be able to let my baby do this.

  • Kewttee

  • I think it's completely ridiculous for people to say that there is plenty of time for kids to learn to swim. No, there isn't. The second a baby can crawl, water is a danger.

  • tried this but emm how do i put it back togther? oo

  • poor babies head fall off :( LOL

  • What twisted person would drag a baby in the water by their head

  • that is a little fuckin scary...

  • this is a good thing to do so if they fall in the can float instead of drowning

  • @DeeDoesMakeup I don't see how it's abuse when it's something natural for a baby....

  • That is so cute

  • @DeeDoesMakeup

Actually babies are imursed in water in the womb so its natrual the only reason we can't swim as well is cause we learned to breathe normally

  • im 15 and i still cant float.... *intimidated*

  • im 15 and i still cant float.... *intimidated*

  • @00NessaBoo

well if your a baby and your parents tout you how to swim you will know cuz the baby naturally swims when he's in his mothers stomach :)

  • This is completely Fuckin insane! This should be considered child abuse!!!!! It is in no shape way or form safe for a defenseless infant!

  • i think babys are sensitive and should'nt be in water until they can really swim. you dont want babys just jumping in!"floating" won't save them I understand what your point is but that does'nt mean i respect it sorryX-[

  • awww its sooo cute how they can swim so young

  • How do you stop a baby from drowning? Take your foot off its head.

  • "Very long procees for some babies" Watch some other more distressing videos to get a real sense of what ISR is." It looks like waterboarding for some babies. And the parents keep praising without helping while the child chokes. This seems likely to damage a child's psyche in a very permanent way. My answer would be slow down and supervise, then teach them to swim. No risk.

  • I know it sounds good, but this could be affecting your child during the Trust vs. Mistrust stage (birth to one year.) Just don't rush it. Plenty of time. You wouldn't want to create a future problem that would require medications. Erikson's stages of development. Read about it. Why is this such a good idea now, after years of children learning to swim at a slightly slower pace. I would consult a child psychologist that has no ties with Big Pharma. Think about it Moms and Dads.

  • what the fuck

  • durrr faake

  • My mom took me too baby swimming classes. At the age of four I could swim without any help and now I can swim like a freaking fish. Why on earth is this bad for a baby? This is natural for them.

  • Man those babies float like corks!

  • 14 people dont have babies

  • go babies go whoo !!!!

  • That's cute

  • CUTE! CUTE! CUTE ! XD

  • 0:22 that looks weird and gay

  • oh my god!!! it is so beautiful & cute!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful!!!!!!

  • I took my daughter 30 years ago to a baby swim class. We were instructed to immediately submerse our children in a sweeping motion, tummy down. They automatically held their breath and started moving like little fishes. It was amazing! And very natural. We had a family pool, so it was essential to learn some basics. This instruction is different, but also i'm sure, very effective.

  • This is cute but scary too.

I have a 7 month old baby girl. I'm really afraid to put my baby on water like that.

  • those babies are SO CUTE!

  • that's awsome

  • this is so beautiful.... it made me cry...

  • omg that such a cute baby..he can even swim better than me j p lol

  • why is the baby being drag by its head

  • @likeitspikeit2 Its looks more like a gentle guide.

  • i dont like how they drag the baby with its head

  • @mypamperedpets Its more like a gentle guide

  • i was smiling when i was watching this and giggling :3 it looks like fun to me.

  • @5Nadmor5 Me too. It brings such joy to see babies anytime =) Awwww

  • I'm a big fan of baby swimming, though where I come from, it's not as much the survival that's important. It's the benefits to the childs sensory system and having fun. :)

I do have a little reservation about the mother removing both hands, mostly because I think it should be done when the baby (or child) shows that he or she is ready.. Other than that, great stuff :)

I'm studying to become a social and swimming teacher, so I find it very interesting how other cultures train kids to swim :)

  • @guldfeldtbaek interesting , do you have some reading you can share on other cultures of swimming?

  • awwww, so cute!

  • What is so great about this?

  • hahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhaahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahhahahaha

  • Next Micheal Phelps :D

  • which swimming styles if done regularly will make you grow taller?

  • @TheLeilisa as far as I know, none. They all do a lot for your figure though :)

  • @guldfeldtbaek thanks. There is this product named" helpo growth formula" that i ve been using it for weeks, and actually can see the difference when i look into the mirror. Hopefully i will get over 6ft

  • no way!

  • you will die in seven days if you dont post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life

  • I like the sicjk jams in the background. kind of glittur hutt. Do you do trades, bro?

  • what about all the babies that died in a swimming pool last year? please know what you r doing b4 u get comfortable with your baby and that pool u have n the back yard

  • damn. i've been in the water ever since i was a few months old. but i never did this stuff...i hope i can do this type of thing with my future baby.

  • why the hell do baby's swim so well. on tv, you always see a brief shot of a baby swimming UNDER the water with open eyes.

  • my son is 2months..we started teaching him to float his first bath....he started with closed fists, now when he is in his hands are open & he is totally relaxed. he kicks his legs to move different directions and he is so relaxed in the water.....he loves it. i started looking this up because i was curious about instinct....its so amazing. i wish i had thought to do this with my other children i

  • So cute :D

But if I was a baby, I would be kicking and screaming... :/

  • Watching this scares the crap out of me! I don't think I could take my hands off my baby for one second!

  • @stephaniefameli Right!!!!!!!

  • @stephaniefameli

I have a 3 month old son and my heart literally stopped when I saw her take her hands off the baby...

  • ummm wat if their head falls off cuz ur dragging it around the pool lik that

  • @MeAndShikamaru good call

  • @MeAndShikamaru iknow what's with that?

  • That's amazing--Wish my mom did that with me...I can swim partially & I love the water; I'm just afraid of drowning b/c I won't be careful...

If I have a child, I'll be doing the same: I don't want them to feel out of place at a beach etc. b/c they're afraid of the water...I mean--You just need to be careful b/c water is such a powerful force...

    But this is so cool!

  • it probably reminds them of the womb

  • whoa...will be trying that with my daughter

  • it is all about how to learn the baby to not to be afraid of water and be calm

  • cont... I had always heard about babies swimming, but boy what a trip to actually witness it with my own. Enjoy and take your baby swimming! They LOVE it. I have been taking Jackson since he was about 5 weeks old. He's a pro now!

  • I wanted to share my experience at the pool with my baby I had last weekend with you all... I was totally surprised when he all of a sudden relaxed, flattened out, and seemed to go into this trance like state while I had him on his back practicing floating and totally was doing it all by himself with just my fingers barely holding his... cont...

  • ma baby sis (11 months) knows how to do this =))

  • Woah! Aquababies!

  • i love how all of you are younger than 15

  • @chewysmokin im not 15 im turning 17 august 26th

  • That baby can barely hold their own head up but they can float on their back?!

  • That is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man im embrassed those babies can swim but i cant!

  • @angelsmellsdeath you need to learn

  • Thank you for the video , I have a baby girl and a pool in the backyard, I will start this

  • im doing this IF i have a kid. Im only 11 so i kinda have a while for that to happen

  • @98765popcorn me 2, but i'm turnin 12 august 4th.

  • @POTENTiiAL2010 IM turning 12 december 15

  • @98765popcorn A long while I hope! (im 12)

  • Yawn... i know babies who are wayyyyyyy better!!!!

  • baby swimming.. this is really cool..

  • My moma shouldve did this with me nd my sister and brothers, because none of us can swim nd I hate not knowin how to swim!

  • I thought this was going to be a sad video but that was reely cute

  • Guess it's better than getting knocked off the back of a boat without a life jacket while everyones to shitfaced to relize they just knocked the baby off "me".

  • i seriously cant do this...

  • How old before I can give this a try? My daughter is 2 1/2 months old.

  • its obvious half these retards making uneducated comments are not parents. piss off pedos

  • Its common sense to teach your baby to float in water enough to cry for help so they dont die in seconds in an emergency. & they will learn to swim sooner. drowning is #1 baby death. yea of corse you need supervision & pool cover/gate/fence, but get real its like a fire drill.

  • Epic.

  • kool nice job baby girl it took me 7 years to float lol

  • its too amazing but that makes us think about god ability he is the one who make them swimming...

  • @blackhawk9293 and hes also the one who kills the babies who drown. your god is evil

  • reading the comments here and some of these people are fucking idiots. the video is trying to tell you that babies have a NATURAL tendency to swim. a baby spends nine months essential underwater before it's born, so swimming reflexes are very natural. by the time a baby is old enough to walk, it's old enough to accidentally walk right over the edge of a swimming pool, and when that time comes, you'd better hope your kid can float to save its own life. it's called preventative measures, guys.

  • this is a survival kit for children! So many kids drown in the pool! Imagine if all parents took their children to teach them swim from as young as 2 months! there would be no more accidents!! look for WATER BABIES ;) amazing movies!

  • thats crule!! that baby looked like it wasn't event 2!

  • baby,s head ar to big thats why...-_-,

  • I think that since they are with professionals, it is good to teach the child to swim.

  • Babies arent as fragile as we think they are. Yes, they do need our care and attention, but their bones are like sponges. Imagine being an indian or caveman with a baby.

  • fuck that

  • omg! oh my g_d!

  • u should not do that. wait till the baby is about 5 or 6

  • FUCK IT ! iwould rather wait some years for them to learn how to swimm ! idnt like how they hold the babies by their heads >:((

  • I would not do that, however IF i did i would do it with a profesional. I doubt i would. ( if i have a baby

  • oh my god no way babys r suposed to be protected and the should be monaterd i dont think that a baby is going to fall in a stream. and babys heads are very soft and doing that to there head could damage there neck

  • @sasawsome11, are you saying that a baby's head is so soft that floating in water could damage it? do YOU have a hole in your head? if that was true, then you even slightly touching a baby's head at all will damage it. floating in water is not going to harm a baby's head, and likewise the hole in a baby's skull has absolutely no correlation with damaging its neck. accidents happen when you're protected or not, so preventing it is the best way to go.

  • thats cool im gonna teach my baby how to swim ;)

  • noo.. i wouldn't risk it..F that.. Not for me

  • LOL. Those babies are pretty badass! :D

  • looks like michael phelps, somebody get that kid a bong!

  • screw that, all it takes is one second of looking away and baby is upside down not breathing

  • buoancy(sp?), i guess allows them to float... all that baby fat haha

  • yeah it does Lawlz

  • العن ابوهم مايخافون على عيالهم

    عبالهم بهالطريقه يعلمونهم

  • rofl

    thats pretty coo

  • i would have loved to have done tis with my kids but i couldn't myself as anyone who's had a baby knows!! and their dad can't swim

  • roflz i cant even float on my back

  • Swimming is a life skill! Type in TheSwimtotz .. they've got an amazing video!!

  • baby's know how to swim instinctively, is what the videos saying, i can't believe so many people don't know their own baby's instincts.

  • OMG... This is so cool ^^ I bet the babies love swiming!

  • i kno its a good thing but u shouldn't have a baby near a pool or alot of water alone to begin with

  • lol, no body does... unless your planing something else

  • omfg your so stupid. a babies' head is almost bigger than its upper body and they're bones are still soft. the only reasonable thing is to hold the head

  • but how is the hand gonna be under the child's head when it falls into a lake or pond? this exercise is so that if a baby or child does fall into water they are able to turn on there back on their own and give the parents or guardians enough time to swim out and help it. anyway a baby's head has as much bouyency as the lower body.

  • the head and body are both buoyant enough to float. It's called density, and I think your head is so dense it will sink to the bottom of the ocean.

  • y hold the head

  • in the movie Blue Lagoon, there's a scene where the baby is swimming by himself and another where he goes under water.

  • this is really cool when i m older and have a kid (cause im only 14) i wanna do this with my baby bc i love swimming and as long as my child loves it too its always be a family activity:)

  • babies have whats we call a swim reflex. They can naturally swim; however,, they may need help at first. If you want your child to be an excellent swimmer, there is no better time than the window of opportunity. It is just like speech. If you do not foster it, it will become much more difficult and less natural the older you get.

  • is that real?

  • well the lady helps baby float and then leaves him..if baby accidently fell in the water..he won't have that help!

  • no, because they'll naturally flip over.

  • how does a baby that small know how to swim. that is amazing!

  • why does a baby that age need to swim?

it probably cant even walk yet

  • safty

  • you mean safety?

and...isn't it safer to NOT put a baby in a pool?

  • if they fall in the water when no ones around, then they need to know how to float or they will die. some people have pools in the yard and if a small child snuck out the door fell in without anyone knowing it could be deadly.

  • i understand that, but surely a toddler at this age can't even walk yet (alot cant crawl properly at that age either) so there really wouldn't be that much of a problem...

  • i know, but it's best to teach them early.

it won't be long before the baby starts walking, and when he does, he will know how to float if that ever happens.
