  • Found this clip about two years ago and grows on me more each time I listen to it...Perhaps the best jam song ever recorded in my opinion.

  • @RLowVaughn1 Hell yeah, best jam song I have ever heard and it also grows on me. Lets dance around like white chicks at a phish concert.

  • What's the name of this song?

  • What's the song played in the beginning of this video?

  • i love how les walks in

  • Steve Erckle plays the keyboards???? I never knew that. lol

  • @BarryKunz64 Haha, that's Bernie Worrell, one of the founding members of Parliament-Funkadelic. He's got the funk.

  • @BarryKunz64 Steve Erckle could only wish to be half the musical genious Mr. Worrell is lolz. Wrote a concerto at age 8 and its only been up ever since!

  • jam history holy shit

  • robots doesn't sweat!

  • the 2 fingered tapping is cool...but when he busts out the 8 finger tap..that shit will melt your brain into a puddle of gooooooo

  • all your missing is danny carey!

  • @ZooxYorkxRulez

  • Funk music for sure!!!

  • trippin BALLS

  • 3:12

  • This is fucken amazing.

  • Give me Paul Kossoff any day! No KFC buckets, masks. gimmicks and million and one notes per second trixionics... just good solid rock guitar playing... but I suppose that don't really cut it for today's crowd does it?

  • @wjhandy nope. they're hippies

  • Forgot to mention Primus Sucks! Asheville, NC blows goats!

  • Saw primus a few years ago and was really disappointed to see Herb back behind the kit. Not that I don't like Herb, I just think I was warmed up to see Brain throw down. The show sucked anyway because the people in Asheville, NC suck. Disrespectable pieces of shit, they shoulda been at a fucking Hank Wiliams show the way they were acting. Les stopped the show and told them he could get back on the bus and go on if they kept acting like a bunch of fucking retards. Primus was awsome still.

  • jesus i got pulled into the ocean by a funktapus

  • Bernie Worrell is funktastic

  • You wouldn't know it, but they're actually having a discussion about the impact of French agnosticism movements in the 18th century from a sociobiological point of view.

  • 3:13 titties... :)

  • SUPER FUNKY!

  • SO GOOD!

  • Funk rock and a half!

  • Bernie Worrell holds down the groove. Greatest synth player out there

  • What's not to like???

  • 30 people disliked this? Musta been an accident!

  • This is just so damn Funky I watch this video like 2 or three times a day!

  • Groovy

  • 1:18 FUCKYEAAAHHH!!

  • Comment removed

  • dude, people do 8 finger tapping

  • someone got the full JAM ?? PLEASE !!

  • I love how this wasn't even supposed to happen but this is how C2B3 was made.

  • Wana no why they wearing masks couse they trying to keep the white from coming out and fucking things.

  • @Demeterix You numbskull. Stanton Moore is one of the best (if not the best) funk drummers in the world, and he's white.

  • @username5809 um yes that was me 8 years ago...no need to worry I am doing very well

  • To anyone who is criticizing this performance, C2B3 was an experiment and a lot of their music was improvised. All of these guys are incredibly talented and technically proficient. The point of the group was to not practice beforehand and just show up on stage and see what happens. It's a freestyle, and it's not going to perfect, but imo it's undeniable that they killed it on stage.

  • @tdelingua this whole show was improv. straight up.

  • Buckethead's timing is sloppy as fuck.

  • @Matthewkilb What's so sloppy about his timing in this video?..

  • @kinobiheart his lines aren't clean....he tries runs that are obviously too much for him and fluffs the last few notes. The ends of several of his phrases miss the beat. In funk everything needs to be tight as tight can be. Only once you are totally in step can u start loosening up. Buckethead would've done better to keep it simple, rather than attempting to shoehorn in all that showing off.

  • @Matthewkilb The last 2 notes are a little noticeable, but the rest is fine. He may not have played it perfectly, but it's far from "sloppy as fuck". Also he's not showing off, that's just how he likes to play. That's one of his styles. He thought it would sound good to play that, and imo, he was right. I think his playing in this video sounds great, I listen to it all the time. You seem to be the only one who thinks otherwise. But for the sake of comparison, what guitarist would you recommend?

  • @kinobiheart I wouldn't recommend any guitar player to be honest. Guitar playing is a dead art-form these days. Noone is doing anything original. The world of guitar playing is polluted by mindless showing off and posturing. Why do you think this guy wears the mask and bucket? Because he's genuinely weird? Or because he loves the attention it brings him. Like all guitarists he is a self-obsessed. posturing, self-important show-off, who - deep down - believes he deserves a pat on the back from us

  • @Matthewkilb Well, that's all your own opinion. But I completely disagree with everything you typed there. Many musicians, guitarists especially, aren't just musicians, they're performers as well. Sometimes whether they want to be or not, if they go live on stage, they're expected to perform. What you perceive as showing off, showboating, posturing, w/e, is simply the person trying to entertain you. Don't take it so offensively. (continue)

  • @Matthewkilb Now, neither you nor me, nor anyone we know can make a judgement call such as the one you made about Buckethead. We just don't know him that well. I'd like to think I know him moderately well though, being as I've been his fan and "studied" him and his interesting behavior for a few years now. Actually, now that I think about it, anyone who Buckethead has came in contact with has said how much of a great guy he is and how nice he is. So I'd like to think those statements are true.

  • @Matthewkilb And I honestly can't see a "self-obssessed, self-important show off," etc, making music such as the ones off his Electric Tears and Colma albums. But as for the music that YOU might like, I'd recommend you check out these two songs: Pretzel Logic off the Thanotopsis album, and Population Override off the Population Override album. If you like them, then great. If not, well that's quite unfortunate.

  • @kinobiheart I listened to his albums and all i hear is tedious, childish showing off and half-baked half-thought out ideas. Noodling to put it short.

  • @Matthewkilb Sorry to hear that. I on the other hand couldn't disagree more. I love all of Buckethead's music. He's an amazing musician. One of a kind. And he always has new material coming one after the other. Like 2-4 albums a year. He's also amazing to watch live.

  • @kinobiheart He release that many albums because he never works his ideas through. If he focused on developing his ideas more he might release something with lasting value. As it stands all he will attain is the fawning praise of bedroom guitarists marvelling at the the complexity of his finger-tapping.

  • @Matthewkilb When it comes to making music, its about "just doing it". If you keep trying to make a masterpiece, you'll never get anywhere. Making music isn't about writing good songs. It's about making music. Showing what you have to contribute. That goes by the definition of art in general. No matter what you make, there will always been people who like it, and always people who dislike it. As long as you're satisfied with what you're making, that's all that matters.

  • Bcukethead = Tedious half-thought out noodling masqerading as oddball originality. He's technically good, but so what?

  • Some random guy with long hair shows up to your party.

    Someone passes him a guitar.

You have a revelation THIS IS BUCKETHEAD

    Nobody believes you.

    BUCKETHEAD KILLS YOU

  • where'd that white boy steal that "Sir Nose" nose? Originally from Parliment Funkadelics... which Bernie Worrell played with, along with many others including the Talkin' Heads. I had the pleasure of doing two tours with the Funk. Speakin' of white boys, Buckethead can hang with the funk pretty well.

  • @littleorangemonster Yeah, because 'the funk' is a black thing isn't it? Idiot.

  • @Matthewkilb well in all fairness to him, funk IS black thing that was picked up by all other musicians of every color, eventually

  • @tmvledzep No, funk is not a black thing. It originated with people who happened to be black, and has been, historically speaking, primarily practised by black people. But to suggest that being black somehow automatically makes you more qualified to play funk, is just as absurd and racist as suggesting that being white automatically makes you more qualified to play European classical music.

  • @Matthewkilb no, it WAS a black thing just like how hip hop was a black thing picked up by others as well.

  • @tmvledzep No, it was never a 'black' thing. It was created by people who happened to be black.

    How can music be 'black'?

  • @Matthewkilb Because funk, jazz and soul was created by African Americans and was something they could call there's especially during civil rights which ended only 44 years ago we didn't have much and I shouldn't say they but me or we as Africans had something special and sacred, which was music. Not trying to sound racist I have nothing against whites in fact bucket heads a bad boy at the guitar it's just this music was rooted in our culture.

  • @ABMayweather How do you know Buckethead is white?

  • @Matthewkilb I take that back he's an alien from mars he aint human haha

  • @ABMayweather Buckethead is half black and half white. By that I don't mean he is mixed-rade. i mean that he is literally half white, half black. The left side is white, the right side black.

His balls are green though. Like diseased hairy apples

  • @Matthewkilb This is actually true.

  • @Matthewkilb They say he also has a beak like that of a chicken. A gift from his foster parents.

  • @imonyourfacewoot and his anus glows red in the presence of evil.

  • @Matthewkilb - Sorry, I had forgotten that Wayne Newton was the Godfather of Funk. My bad.

  • @littleorangemonster riiiight. I think you just failed hard mate!!!

OWNED yourself... peace to da street

  • uuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • I would love to just roll up a fatty right in that crowd and enjoy myself there!!! Who wouldn't???

  • i watch this every day!

    thumbs up!

  • to jest kur..wa zajebiste :D

  • i like those tags on the video xD

  • This is straight stanky....i wish i could get more black people like me to get into this....its got funk written all over it. unfortunately, the cartoon club music is too popular!

  • @lilkang2007 yeah man this shit is fire, but im white lol, everyone needs to listen to more buckethead

  • @1716frank very true! long live les and buckethead!!

  • @lilkang2007 check out more bucket and spread the word. you like funk? check out song "bird with hole in the stomach" and listen to each song on the album population override you will love it bro.

  • @lilkang2007 Yeah there is hardly any funk to turn to anymore :'(

  • @lilkang2007 This is where Hendrix was heading.

  • @lilkang2007 Most people, regardless of race, don't appreciate good music and historically significant music. Bernie Worrell, Less Claypool, and Buckethead are national treasures. Can't remember who's on drums for the life of me...grrrrrrrrr.

  • @Prankaplegic Brian "Brain" Mantia

  • QUITE FUNKY ....

  • Les Claypool and Buckethead are practically the same person.

  • Larry Graham is grooving in his grave.

  • C2B3 needed an official music video.

  • Definitely acid in those spray bottles

  • so good

  • THE BEST- JAM SESSION ON THE PLANET!!!!!!!!

  • This song is really groovy.

  • 1:30 epicly thin neck. Holy crap!

  • Best think i've ever seen

  • Back when Bonnaroo was real, not the corporate mess it is now!

  • My theme Song!!!

  • I really loathe the person who invented in-video comment boxes. I don't need someone pointing out to me that Buckethead is using a killswitch or that he is tapping with 2 fingers.

  • So glad I stumbled onto this!

  • click my name to see a young guitar player play like buckethead

  • Brilliant. I wish this jam went for hours

  • Cant these guys just play without being freaks. They would be appreciated and respected much more other than their fan who know them.

  • @todnwen This is art at it's finest. Their goal isn't to go multi-platinum and play the Super Bowl Halftime show, playing like freaks is what they do, and they do it quite well.

  • @todnwen the whole point of the scene is to either A) make people laugh or B) make people go "wtf?".

  • @todnwen Why the hell would they do that if Claypool was less of a freak then Primus wouldnt be the theme of South Park and Buckethead wouldnt be Buckethead and besides they are masters of their crafts and they make millions by not selling out haha

  • @todnwen The fact that they can do this well while giving an image as strange as it is just proves how talented they are. I doubt Slash would have gotten anywhere without his badassery

  • i want this without the guitar to use as a backing track
