I replaced the shocks & steering components and it drives like a new truck at 204,000 miles. I haven't had any problems with the AWD, so I haven't looking into the smartrack problems.
Champion Copper plus in mine at 205 thousand miles. Now at 210. Will replace my 100k mile AC Delco distributor cap with one of the same brand, just don't know when for it's running fine.
ya ive gone through 2 fuel pumps in 5 years. running a tank near empty often and not changing the fuel filter will do that though....the gas in the tank actually helps keep the pump cool
@blazinloud Not true. I'm running Autolite Double Platinum spark plugs in my '97 S-10 Blazer with 161,xxx miles on it and it runs the best it ever has.
@ZackTabler GM vehicles usually have problems with the fuel pumps. My 02 blazer had to have the fuel pump changed three times last year. But ever since then there hasn't been any other problems with mine.
thats all you could do WITH chains on the tires?? i have an 01 blazer with all terrain tires that can do more than that.. if your going to put a video on you should do something intersting first
@oDTheTruth very true milage is horrible! I haven't even driven my truck regularly in about 2 years. I run all over the place on my motorcycle now. 55 mpg and loving it!

that funy man you have to put a lot staf so your truck will not stuck but my truck do not need nothink take chek my video of my truck but yes your truck still be a good truck nice bye friend
bravada's dont have good ground clearance, and AWD is not the best thing in the world for off-roading, and the stock tires on the bravada are very small and whimpy
With a little money, you can fix that clearance problem :) I've seen 2wd monsters go through things with ease that 4x4s were getting stuck in. AWD isn't the best, but it will work. I believe for 02-04 they had a 4x4 option available too
Yeah i don't drive it much now b/c of the milage it gets and i have my motorcycle. I think the old toyota pickup trucks are great for running around the farm and the snow. The bravada is more luxury and to go off road i think a good 4" lift would be great.

Smartrak doesn't appear to be working. Front drive should have kicked in within 2/10 of a second after the rear lost traction.

it doesnt look like your awd is working to well... my 01 bravada would never need chains in that snow.

@blazinloud get an ac delco or a delphi. these trucks HATE alot of "aftermarket" parts (spark plugs being another major one)

Did you have any issues w/ ur vehicle? I'm about to buy a 97-99 Bravada and I'd like to check out some reviews, please.

yes i have one
2024carlos 2 years ago
Would you recommend it? I've heard that it gets poor gas mileage.
wassupbro 2 years ago
The GM 4.3 vortec motors get pretty good gas mileage, roughly 19/25 from what I've noticed on a 2002 silverado
Weazell 2 years ago
@Weazell shitty mileage
vitunkyrp 2 years ago
That all depends. On the 2000 Blazer, it avgs 15mpg or less (both highway/city combined)
