  • grainy much??

  • use resolution 240p ... it helps... :(

  • Yep, looks like its got corrupted over the years! try changing the resolution to 240 - that works :)

  • shitty video makes me wanna throw up

  • Is there any particular reason why it seems like there were a thousand upload errors and every pixel is trying to shake itself loose? It makes the "trailer" extremely difficult to see. Or like the game the trailer is for can't handle what its programmers are trying to make it do - either way, bad news for this game.

  • Is there any race that Earthforce hasn't pissed off at any time? lol ;)

  • @archangel72367 lol probably not

  • The Brakiri are the only race of the League using large scale cruiser in their fleets. The vertical design of this cruiser is quite familiar with the Minbari Warcruiser at first look, but the technology used by the Minbari is still some hundred years more advanced than that of the Brakiri. When not used for patrol missions or during war times, this cruiser also acts as civilian transport or cargo vessel and so the overall performance is very poor compared to a "full-time" warship.

  • The Brakiri Cruiser is very cheap to build and to maintain and so it is believed that the Brakiri have build some thousands of them.

  • @rTgPaula

  • nevermind the flashy graphics, there's only one question i have: can it compare to the Homeworld series?

    if not, they can GTFO

  • The Brakiri? Weren't they the ones with an arse for a face?

    Pahh...

It would be like the Solomon Islands declaring war on China.

  • @wangpangu Agreed. The Brakiri are a third rate power can't even hope to beat earth force. But interesting all the same.

  • Just this time the solomon island have a big chance to win.Lol.

  • Damn Brakiri. I knew they were a menace.

  • The controls on this are wonky as hell, if you want more realistic physics and more responsive controls, play B5 IFH which is also free, just make sure you have the "slide" controls ready.

  • Why does everyone keep asking is this a game?

YES ITS A FREE BABYLON 5 Based combat sim (the video shows ingame graphics & cutscenes!)

To download it go to the heatemup website which is at the end of the Trailer!

  • Considering that the Brakiri, Drazi, and a few of the other minor powers were in space centuries before Earth I'd say it's quite possible that they could've become one of the big powers, but for many reasons chose not to go that way. It's really the only reason I can figure that they're not on the same level because both the Narn and Earth Alliance became a part of the Big 5 in just over a century. The Minbari could've easily ruled the galaxy instead of the Centauri, but had no desire.

  • its more than just being there for long time...the minor races lack something that the bigger races have. humans are more ambitious than others and had a very aggressive colonization of planets as soon as they were able to, making small outposts and claiming territory while the lesser races didnt even thought about it.

another example is weapons, humans made warfare into an art, a thing that many other races lacked...a good example was the dilgar war, a ambitious race with better tech destroyed

  • It varies from race to race. The Narn and Drazi are agressive, but the former were primitive until the Centauri arrived and the latter's expansion was stifled by them. As I see it the Minbari had no interest in building an empire and just stuck to their section of the galaxy while the Centauri had the luck of emerging at a time when most of the previous players were wiped out in the last Great War. It was only on their decline that the Narns, Drazi, Dilgar, and others began to fill the void.

  • A few of you are syaing the brakiri are inferior, trhey never would etc.

In this game i have turned the b5 storyline around, after B5 being destroyed nothing through the episodes ever happened in this universe, and for the the purposes of storyline for the game you will have to play through it to see how the B5 univerese has changed and what role the shadows now play. :)

  • Nice trailer with dramatic music.

Still, the Brakiri would never go to war with humans since they like each other AND the Brakiri are deeply into Human culture to the point where they regard Humans as de facto cousins.

  • like the idea . but Earth is one of four (remaining powers) the brakiri are lesser powers . its like E.U ( in terms of military strength economic strength and poltical strength) figthing Sri Lanka ( thats a country those of you who slept in geography class)

  • well not quite. The "minor Powers" in Babylon 5 are often equiped with advanced technology and ships that can seriously threaten a war vessel of the major powers. The big differences between major and minor powers is the number of ships they poses and whether or not they maintain large numbers of commited fighters and heavy battle units, as well as the over all number of war ships and resources at their disposel. The Brakiri have large advanced ships but not a mighty battle fleet.

  • Sooo.....

is there like a space fighting game or a rpg version of Babylon 5 somewhere out there.

If there was I soo want it....

Babylon 5 was one of my favorit sci-fi series when i was in school

    lol

  • I'd still love to see a more in-depth storyline as to the Dilgar war, as well as the Earth Alliance assault on Akdor, as mentioned in the episode "Gropos"

Those campaigns deserve (at least in my opinion) more storylines aboiut the outcome, and since first watching it growing up, I always wondered if the EA had taken the stronghold at Matok.

  • The one flaw of the human species is underestimating your opponent. Although the Brakiri aren't as powerful, you need to take into consideration their willingness to fight and to do what is necessary to win.

Like the Earth-Minbari war, the Minbari weren't ready or even suspected that we would fight to the last man even though we were rapily losing the war.

Warfare isn't about strategies and fire-power, its about understanding and respecting your enemy. Otherwise you have no chance of winning.

  • Actually the Brakiri are (like most species) not particularly good tacticians or strategists. They arn't willing to sacrifice largenumbersof personel or rescources either unless it's absolutly the only option.

Also. In the Earth Minbari war the somehwat stagered pace of the war was largly the result of the fact that the EA did indeed have powerful ships with firepower able to damage and destroy the enemy units, but were just to slow and less advanced to do anything but stager their advance.

  • the brakiri? they are sooo weak, would get owned by earthforce

anyway this game looks awesome, where i can download it?
