try moving the wheel with your hand directly. magnetic fiels are not good at transmiting energy ebcouse the field compress. therefor you loose. so why not just spin it with your hand. it would easily go faster.

It is certainly possible to get free energy from magnets as you can see in another video. Just search youtube for "Free energy using Magnets"

This is just another method that might work. The part where you're "moving a magnet back and forth with your hand" could be done by a simple mechanism powered by the magnet motor you can see in the previous link.

And no, so far, nobody has figured out how to get free energy from magnets. A video on YouTube is not proof of that. If it were possible, you'd already have a magnet-driven power machine in your home providing your energy.

As the guy says this is not a demonstration of a magnet motor, but a demo on a magnetic shield of sorts. If you knew anything about going about making a magnet motor, you would understand the usefulness of a effective magnetic shield.

hyperkinetic has it right--it doesn't matter if he's ranting. The video shows the guy moving a magnet back and forth with his hand--that's supplying the energy. He moves the magnet that's in his hand, so that the end that has the same polarity as the ends of the group of magnets on the disc, that's directly in front of the hand magnet, is positioned in front of those magnets, and so it repels them.

What about using a round magnetic shield with a hole that spins, instead of the sliding linear bearing? Then drive the shield with the motion from the spinnning magnets. You could use differing ratios to achieve the right timing.

I would like to see a measurement of how much energy is required to move the magnet behind the shield and back. Then all you need to do is measure Horse Power /sec or per min /60sec and ratio the two.

I would try put 2 coils on it. If you build it correctly the field should be strong enough to generate a pulse big enough to close the gate. I don't think it would require much other electronics. Then have free DC, it would be amazing. Much better as something spinning imho.
