I only recently got SoulSilver, and I am at the point to challenge Red. But he still overpowers me, so I am currently training hardcore. He will always be the toughest challenge from any of the games.
May, 27 1990 here. My first game was Blue Version, I started out with Bulbasuar. I was 6 years old, didn't have a clue about what I was doing. All I knew was that Pokemon was the greatest game ever. I'm 21 right now and I have every Pokemon game from the original two, (Red and Blue) on up to Ruby and Emerald. I actually have Platinum version as well but nothing beats the original Pokemon games. I still play Red every now and then, I also play Gold as well.

Haha I must ask everyone, why is this old remix so popular? Looking at the date says it's a year old, looking back I see how much I had to learn and I was not a very good "remixer" at all, defeintly not and I accept that. Without me getting all deep and wierd on ya, I'm just saying that today, I literally cannot make something thisssss bad since I have learned sooo much in a short amount of time, it's crazy. I'm probably going to eventually make this video "unlisted". xP
@LugiaDialga The reason is because even if you think this is crap, it's still better than what most of us could manage. Hell, I rank you right up there with MeanGreen and PokeRemixStudio.

@LugiaDialga eh? it's one of the better remix's. Has sound reminiscent of the old GBA style music without being GBA style fully, and progresses to a sound that is pleasant on the ears, yet keeps the faster pace and energetic feeling of the original.
1:03 is about how I'd imagine my battle with Lance as a kid, of course my first game was Silver version, so instead I was on my Pidgeot and my Typhlosion was busy duking it out Fire Blast to Hyper Beam against one of Lance's other Dragonites below.

This is what i think about red. hes suppose to be like the champion, he thinks of you as a new comer and he has the duty to fight you to see if your worthy to hold the title. He spent years trying to reach his goal and you just beaten him. he must feel dead inside that all he has accomplished has been lost. he is forgotten in all the other games. he now has no purpose. you basically killed him you destroyed his goal, his goal was to be Pokemon champion now he cant because of you.

Congratulations on each of the 100, well deserved subscribers! I must say, you are right about the opening stereo sounds :D very epic sounding. Now, please don't get mad at me for this, but i have just a slight critique. It's a problem i find myself with a lot. Its the trumpet in teh opening; pretty much every program has sucky trumpet sounds--i know this myself with garageband, so i knwo ur trouble. But i think a stronger synth coulda sufficed. Love the rest tho! I love how it changes!
@AlmightyArceus Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! Yeah I'm going to have to fix some things in this and like re-release it, but the funny thing is the VST I was using for the Trumpets has an excellent sound however it was my fault with the awful "mastering" done in this that ruined it. Dx
@LugiaDialga I think the main problem is that the trumpets have a really short release on the notes they play. They dont sustain well, and they don't build. I think volume woulda helped a lot. Oh, you know what are really good? Low brass; what my band teacher likes to call the "hero instruemnts." The deep sound can help give that sort of epic effect.
The trumpet is the only "problem" if you could even call it that. The rest of the remix is really really awesome :D

Oh wow I really like this version of red/lance battle. The bells you can hear at the beginning give the song a chilly feeling, it fits very well in the song.

And as for the ending, I think it would've worked better if you had fit it in the middle, then got back to an intense[er] part at the end (but thats only cuz I really like this other remix that does that xD)
@OMGZach72 Oh yeah that part, my first sense of originality like ever! xD Yeah the Lugia pic, that's pretty much what my SS game looks like right now sense I'm stuck at Red. I was orignaly going to add some Delay to the piano but it created this awful static feedback noise so I had to remove that. Well I was not sure how to end the song either so it could have been better or worse, thanks btw! ^__^

(But at sometimes the drums felt a little bit overwhelming, like at 1:03-1:08 (although the beat was great throughout :D), and also the next part was a tad over the top as well ( in my opinion, but then again, I'm not a fan of drums xD)
@OMGZach72 The intro used two 'bell' instruments from the Sytrus vst. Thank-you, yeah I realized that the drums were a bit overpowering as I mentioned in the description. I'm going to fix that in the Download Link so nothing to fret about for too much longer! ;D

But as I got better things became easier and well people started to notice. I love Orchestral pieces just as much as Electronic however I wanted to be able to make one of the best ones out there so it seems that the instruments fitted in quite right. Its the trumpet in teh opening; pretty much every program has sucky trumpet sounds--i know this myself with garageband, so i knwo ur trouble. But i think a stronger synth coulda sufficed. Love the rest tho! I love how it changes!

@AlmightyArceus Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! Yeah I'm going to have to fix some things in this and like re-release it, but the funny thing is the VST I was using for the Trumpets has an excellent sound however it was my fault with the awful "mastering" done in this that ruined it. Dx

@LugiaDialga I think the main problem is that the trumpets have a really short release on the notes they play. They dont sustain well, and they don't build. I think volume woulda helped a lot. Oh, you know what are really good? Low brass; what my band teacher likes to call the "hero instruemnts." The deep sound can help give that sort of epic effect.
The trumpet is the only "problem" if you could even call it that. The rest of the remix is really really awesome :D

Oh wow I really like this version of red/lance battle. The bells you can hear at the beginning give the song a chilly feeling, it fits very well in the song.

And as for the ending, I think it would've worked better if you had fit it in the middle, then got back to an intense[er] part at the end (but thats only cuz I really like this other remix that does that xD)

@OMGZach72 Oh yeah that part, my first sense of originality like ever! xD Yeah the Lugia pic, that's pretty much what my SS game looks like right now sense I'm stuck at Red. I was orignaly going to add some Delay to the piano but it created this awful static feedback noise so I had to remove that. Well I was not sure how to end the song either so it could have been better or worse, thanks btw! ^__^

Great remix! Really love the creativity you put into this (especially the intro), and also I love those three notes that go up that are like everywhere and that instrument :O(what was it?) ;D(gratz on 100subs also)
(But at sometimes the drums felt a little bit overwhelming, like at 1:03-1:08 (although the beat was great throughout :D), and also the next part was a tad over the top as well ( in my opinion, but then again, I'm not a fan of drums xD)

@OMGZach72 The intro used two 'bell' instruments from the Sytrus vst. Thank-you, yeah I realized that the drums were a bit overpowering as I mentioned in the description. I'm going to fix that in the Download Link so nothing to fret about for too much longer! ;D

Wow. I'm in "ah" you've really improved so much over the months you've been remixing LugiaDialga and you've finally earned your spot among the remixers over 100 subs. The intro, the piano, the choir, guitar, the trumpet. You made each and every instrument sound like they were really working together. I actually felt tense listening to this. You've made me proud LD. =)

@MeanGreenLuigi I am happy to have gotten this far, honestly I thought no one would ever notice me at all let alone subscribe! But as I got better things became easier and well people started to notice. I love Orchestral pieces just as much as Electronic however I wanted to be able to make one of the best ones out there so it seems that the instruments fitted in quite right.
