I'd like to just say, because so many people are saying "Lock her away", shit like that. With the care and love she needed, she grew up to be a caring woman and is now a nurse and living a normal life.
im very happy to see that this case is getting a lot of attention from viewers. the movie version aired on tv when i was a small child and had been through similar abuse as this little girl and had similar behavioural patterns. hopefully this will give parents some insight into protecting their children even more and recognizing when somethings wrong

I worked with emotionally disturbed children like this in the 80's--children who were raped by adults so early in life that you wouldn't even think it was physically possible. Children experimenting with each other sexually is quite normal. Children become aware of their sexuality at around age 6-8 and become curious. These things are quite normal, and parents should recognise this and direct their childrens behaviour and teach them what is appropriate and what is not. Who here never played doctor when they were a kid? there is a basline for what is normal and what is not. Intentionally hurting and continuing to do so is not normal and should be adressed profesionally

I agree with you. At age 1, you probably wouldn't be remembering those things. She probably has picked up bits and pieces of what happened to her from the adults around her. Her new parents need to do some positive retraining of her brain.

While it is true that the memory IS a structure that DOES take time to mature and develop, remember, that I said "These things" There are certain facts that our mind will keep, even in pre-mature development, in order to preserve our safety, for an example: A child burns herself on a hot-burner and 2 months old, though the memory has not had proper amount of time to develop, that child is now aware that such contact hurts.

Beth remember these things and becomes angry, at not just parents but at all people, because she has learned at such a young

What a beautiful little girl. It sucks that she went through that at such a young age. I don't understand how someone could do that to a baby. People in this world disgust me so much. l had a memory of a bad stomach ache in the back of my aunt and uncle's car coming home from the circus - and when I was much older, and looking through photographs, I was amazed to find one from that day with my age marked on the back as only two years old. I also remember being in a crib, and one more early memory of being small enough to slide down my mother's legs while she laid on her back with her knees up, making a sort of slide for me.

This is a very tragic story but I have my doubts if this child can really be helped. She is text book psycopathic and these type of people never change. Hopefully they got to her soon enough, if it is possible, to have helped her. Children do remember things from a very early age. I remember being an infant although the momories are fragmented. I think something like early sexual abuse can be remembered.
@33winterbirds They did get to her in time. She studied nursing and established a clinic for children with severe behauvioral disturbances with her mother. Goes to show that they can be helped. Though the most important thing in my mind is to intervene early enough, so that these children don't have to deal with such problems.

Not that this video is neccesarily horrific - in fact it's very hard for me to judge how bad this situation is, I have no frame of reference for something this extreme. @kittymcvity She may be lying! But maybe she was told that she was molested, and that these were the things that happened, she doesn't necessarily have to remember the events to know they happened. The awareness of such events alone could trigger all sorts of hidden psychological traumas.

I can remember especially because when you're very young it's not words you remember but smells, colours and most of all emotions, how it made you feel. @AryanPersianProdigy this really depends, some children develop more quickly. There are people who actually remember being in the womb. These are extremely rare people and most exclusively are of IQ over 140, or geniouses. Its very rare but does happen. My earliest memories are when i was about 2-3 years old. But then again nothing traumatic as this ever happend to me.

l had a memory of a bad stomach ache in the back of my aunt and uncle's car coming home from the circus - and when I was much older, and looking through photographs, I was amazed to find one from that day with my age marked on the back as only two years old. I also remember being in a crib, and one more early memory of being small enough to slide down my mother's legs while she laid on her back with her knees up, making a sort of slide for me.

This is a very tragic story but I have my doubts if this child can really be helped. She is text book psycopathic and these type of people never change. Hopefully they got to her soon enough, if it is possible, to have helped her. Children do remember things from a very early age. I remember being an infant although the momories are fragmented. I think something like early sexual abuse can be remembered.

Though the most important thing in my mind is to intervene early enough, so that these children don't have to deal with such problems.

I can remember especially because when you're very young it's not words you remember but smells, colours and most of all emotions, how it made you feel. So I guess if a child was abused at that young or at any age she WOULD remember at least her feelings about it even if she couldn't place them at the time.

I can tell you, from a strictly objective standpoint, that you CANNOT recall events that happened when you were 1. It is nearly impossible to recall events that occurred prior to your 3rd birthday, so your assertion is utterly fallible. Traumatic or highly stressful events made up only a small percentage of the earliest memories reported by children in the study conducted by Carol Peterson

These are extremely rare people and most exclusively are of IQ over 140, or geniouses. Its very rare but does happen. My earliest memories are when i was about 2-3 years old. But then again nothing traumatic as this ever happend to me.
