Just to let you know...the way the system works, he has to have a certain amount of fights under his belt, in order for him to move into contenders rankings and pull a big fight such as a Gomez or Hatton, but in order for that to happen he needs these fights they might seem pointless to you but they are very important for him and his future.

Jr is definetly good.. great figure, style and power punches but before he looks out there for de la Hoya he has a lot to prove. I think they have done the right thing to have him fight unknows to build his career which lacks of amature background.. to me the next step are other young (not very experienced) fighters like Gomez, Latin Snake Mora and even Manfredo.. then we can talk about Mayweather, Cotto de la Hoya, etc
