I think the only person who is COMPLETELY pleased with current situation is Usama Bin Laden, who have managed to lead the United States to fight a full-scale war in Iraq and nurture hostility between Muslim communities all over the world and the United States and its allies.

Bin Laden is a man who wants revenge who happens to be a Muslim. His 'followers' however, call this anger a way to execute Jihad(global types). Since Bin Laden's fight isn't global but personal (eg. Me against the United States-type of issue.) An unresolved matter we may never know...
I don't think that he is pleased with this war, and I don't think he benefits from it. You can never say he wants to unite the Muslim communities over the world because that thing could never ever happen.
