  • Woke up to this on my 18th birthday Aug 1st, 2008. fun tiems

  • HOLY SHIT! I just read description and I cant believe Kip Winger is on bass and backup vocals!

Kip is a legend on his own!

  • birthday is on the 8th of December reminds me of this song and i'll be 18.

  • my 18th birthday is on National Metal Day, 11.11.11 ;)

  • It's not my birthday but this song makes me feel like it's my 18th birthday all over again.

  • Yeah great song and that solo is fuckign classic. but so is the fuck up in the 2nd verse lol. i cant find a kane robberts vs silvester stalone montage on youtube =o i might make one

  • 18 today this is the perfect song to play today. well any day.

  • IM 18 NIGGGGGAAAASSSS!!!!!!!!!!

  • I turn 19 in 2 days...shit, where does the time go?

Is it too early to have a mid-life crisis?

  • seriously, who the fuck has a guitar like that!?!?

  • About to turn 24. I listen to this on every birthday.

  • holy shit the guitars a fuckin gun.

  • this looks like the concert I saw in Oakland, Ca back in I think '87, what year was this one and where was it taped, do you know?

  • Had no idea Hulk was Alice cooper's guitarist

  • @dsconce1 I would say Rambo....

  • I'm turning 18 at midnight AND seeing Alice Cooper tonight, been psyched all year

  • who re did this song recently its better than alice cooper

  • @pioneermj11 There's a version by Lord High Fixers that kicks this one square in the nuts.

  • what a freak of nature

  • what the fuck is with the crutch?

  • @darkhawk8200

Crutch is a old stage prop, he used to have a guillotine, snakes, all kinds of weird chit'

  • @bongojim420 He still uses all those things, too :)

  • that's right a baby's brain!

  • What's with the crutch?

  • In 30min I'MMMMM 18 !

  • I'm 18 X 2

  • I turned 17, I don't give a fuck. I love this song

  • The flood of stupid fucking 18 year olds have ruined this video.

  • @SocalDNM People are just happy that they turned 18. That makes them stupid?

  • One of the best renditions of this great song

  • Just turned 18... Been waiting almost 5 years to play this at 12 am today

  • this bascially describes me atm, and funny enough im 18.. haha

  • I like his live stuff better than his studio recorded songs :) ALICE 4EVR

  • what about Micheal Bruce?

  • i am 36. i have a wife and child but my soul still 18.

  • bet he doesn't bring that guitar on many airplanes

  • Best Frontman And Singer That Rock and Roll Ever Had !

  • This kind of stuff makes me not be ashamed i'm a human. Sometimes.

  • Alice Cooper runs in my blood!!

  • damn i cant wait til im 18

  • I JUST TURNED 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @zombiebrains138 NO WAY MAN ME TOO <3 <3 <3

  • ADORO ALICE COOPER!!!!

  • this is going to be my song at my 18th bday party

  • Its been said before but i think you gotta talk about two alices...the guy from the 70s and then everything after that and his work with Kane is some of the most aggressive ever so i gotta say i love it! Alice's sly and full throated vocals on Raise Your Fist and Yell literally blew me away. Also, Kane's solos on prince of darkness, roses and freedom are masterful. I just read Kane's interview on his site about his time with Alice and it was completely humble.

  • Happy Birthday Alice!!

  • I don't like Kane Roberts, only one solo that left me breathless was the one in 'Roses on White Lace', I think one of the greatest heavy metal moments in the history.

  • @DreamInTheMagma Yeah, Kane was probably the worst guitarist to ever work with Alice. But both Constrictor and especially Raise Your Fist have some great moments.

  • Comment removed

  • @Eliskoopa You're right. Not that I don't like the music, especially 'Raise Your Fist and Yell' is one of my favourite albums recorded during Alice's solo career. But I don't like Kane's attitude and his (awful) ego. I think he shows more of the muscles and less of the skills I expect from Alice's lead guitarist. Well, I think he's a very good guitarist at his style and he did some great stuff on these two albums but he is egoistic and selfish.

  • Guess this is from the era when looking like a worldclass bodybuilder was the in-style for heavy metal guys lol...

really though, this version rocks pretty damn hard

  • I'm not sure why but this song always reminds me of Cher's song "Half Breed"?

  • @candace6481 Nope, the guitar players are Kane roberts and Devlin7

  • Is it just me or does the older Alice gets, the better looking he fits his role? lol

    AWESOME clip, thanks for sharing!!

  • a real rocker

  • that is the craziest guitar i've ever seen o.O

  • "I'M 18 AND I LIKE IT! YES I LIKE IT!"

  • :( i want studio version

  • Comment removed

  • This song was written 40 years ago. AND IT STILL KICKS ASS! \m/

  • The best lineup. Kip Winger is a god, Paul here on keyboards too.....Kane is massive ;D in a good way

  • Marilyn Manson sucks. Alice Cooper doesn't even like him. He's a discriminating bible bashing freak. Unlike Alice who's in the top three artists of all time.

  • @Rangerhalt1 You do know they preformed this very song together, right?

  • @LestatandBerial Once. And that doesn't mean Alice respects him.

  • @Rangerhalt1 And they also worked together the same day to do sweet dreams. If Alice cooper didn't like him he wouldn't have done one song, let alone two.

  • Damn, the man knows how to rock!

  • Happy 18th Birthday Scott!!! Alice's Cooper's "I'm Eighteen"

  • Can someone please tell me what the significance of the crutch is? I'm dying to know. If he decides to keep touring 19 years fro now, and he changes the lyrics to "I'm 80," I can see it, but what does an 18 year old need with a crutch?

  • @wildmandjp It's not always a crutch you know. It's usually a cane or some sort of staff-type thing. I think it's a reed or one of those torture sticks.

  • im so excited i cant wait to go to his concert oct 10th with rob zombie and murderdolls its gonna be amazing! i just cant believe their actually coming to my hometown no one ever comes here lol

  • way cool! Sylvester Stallone on guitar!

  • i might get to c him in concert for his halloween tour with rob zombie its gunna be a great concert!

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarplayer1338 I got my tickets to the Halloween Hootenanny here close to KC in the independence event center. Its kind of a smaller venue so it should be even more kick @ss.

  • @kcjeff73 Really hoping he plays Black Juju and the ballad of Dwight Frye. Very fitting songs for a Halloween show and there probably my favorite Alice songs as well.

  • Kane Roberts is my favourite guitarist

    this guy kicks ass

and of course Alice Cooper rulz :P

  • Awesome Gun-Tar.

  • Rambo a la guitarra!

  • This is my song for the year, it's my 18th birthday!!! I LOVE ALICE COOPER!

  • @PrincessToad100 Happy Birthday!!

  • @Horrormaniacs1 Thank you!!!!

  • @PrincessToad100 I love him too, but this song isn't for the ladies. Princess.

  • @jiggaberryhazejr too bad!!! lol!

  • true showman

  • great performance, love alice! i like the metal twist they gave the tune, but i still love the original track, the tone he had in the 70s was awesome.

  • just seen the man last night epic first concert

  • hahah i turned 18 today july 11th!

  • The Kane's guitar is just AWESOME !

I think those lyrics are one of the best-written. After 40 years, people of 18 years old still fell the same things, and those lyrics tell those things. I now it, I'm 18, and I don't know what I want.

  • why do people find it necesary to constantly insult justin bieber. i do agree that he is talentless but what does that have to do with you you dont have to listen to him

  • The metal militia will be attacking Justin Bieber's video (justin bieber baby ft. ludacris) on FOURTH OF JULY! Assemble all fans of good music in every genre! (Jazz, Metal, Classical, Classic Rock etc.) On this date leave a comment giving your thoughts on JB, close the comment with -MM. Copy and paste this comment to all the good band videos! (Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, The Doors, classical composers, etc) Thumbs up this comment!!

  • this version sounds too eighties hard rock, I like the original version better.

  • Pretty good guitar solo but you really need to hear the solos that Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter did on the live version of this song from "The Alice Cooper Show" cd.

The sickest guitar solos ever recorded.

  • Fuck yeah I'm 18 today

  • I'M 18 AND I LIKE IT

(I'm actually 15 and I like this song)

  • 18 today :3 and this song has been stuck has been stuck in my head all day!! :D

  • aaargh I'm eighteen for 3 hours again before turned nineteen.... enjoyyy! I'M EIGHTEEEN!!!

  • aaargh I'm eighteen for 3 hours again before turned nineteen.... enjoyyy! I'M EIGHTEEEN!!!

  • i just turned 18 about 13 minutes ago...

  • Alice Cooper is the #1 Rocker in Rock History!!!!!

  • His best song to perform live!!!

    We're not worthy!!!

  • @pickard72 were not worthy! were not worthy! were scum! we suck!!

  • hard

  • I'm eighteen....uh, I'm 57. Alice Cooper is 62. He'll be in Indianola, Iowa 5-16-10.

  • TODAY IM 18

  • When I first watched The Nightmare Returns DVD and first saw him bust down that cage, I was like "HOLY SH!T! IT'S THE OUTFIT HE USED DURING THE KILLER TOUR!" Hahaha, yup the outfit he wore here, especially the leather one-piece, is my favorite stage outfit of his. I wish he still had this body so he could wear it again.

  • @jokeris1 I'm sorry. Not Killer Tour. I remember watching an old video of the Alice Cooper group playing School's Out and there were bubbles everywhere. He wore this same exact leather outfit. LOL

  • I'm still not 18... I'm 14! And I don' know what I want! LOL

  • ... i miss being 18, lmao.

  • I'm eighteen right now!

  • im eighteen and i HATE IT

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E

  • They don't do music like this anymore! Twenty years ago - when you couldn't change your voice in a computer - they did real music with real talents - as Vincent Firnier!

  • yes very good this song and alice

  • Alice Cooper 4EVER!!!!!!!!

  • You rock Alice!

    -18 today =D-

  • Thank you 7TS7 so much for uploading this:) Awesome job!

  • exelent rock on alice

  • it was my time that i was in a school, got an 18 shots hole, from my theory......

  • They used AK's in Vietnam, this song is full of symbolism of why he wrote it in the beginning. Eighteen was the age you could be drafted and that meant tour of duty in Vietnam! I remember well. Thanks Alice for putting into song what so many could not express during this time. Many young people have no idea what your songs really mean, history does not teach you much on the Vietnam conflict. Had to be living in this time in the real. Keep listening Alice is the real deal no Manson without Alice!

  • He clutches the crutch in this song because this song was written about the draft during the Vietnam war! Always has held the crutch doing this song. I remember when this was 1st released and everyone watching the tube to see if their number was drawn for the draft! I hope that answers your question. Love Alice now but back in the day really special, none of the same musicians in this video but it is a good one! Godspeed everyone from an old hippie~

  • Possibly the best performance of this song

  • thx 4 tryin A- it's good but it ain't the 70s with the old crew but then again how could it ever be

  • Haha, that guitar... Awesome, great show!

  • Why does he clutch the crutch during this song?

  • I Better Be Good Lyrics "put my lungs in a crutch"???

  • the guitar looks more like an m4 than ak

  • jesus his guitar is a fucking AK-47. that's fucking awesome

  • well i like manson and cooper im a big fan of them two but i think mr cooper is better :)

  • Same here!

  • fantastico

  • love this version!!!!!

  • this is the best live version of 18 live everything came together on this one rock on long live the king

  • ii think that 1972's version is better :D

  • totaly agree

  • great band. guitarist (kane) rocks so frikkin' hard. alice seriously rules! true legend.

  • Alice's original band was so much better. This performance lacks the magic of the early shows.

  • Not the most amazing stage performer, but dammit, he can rock like a landslide!

    Boom.

  • that's it... watching the guitarist on this video has made me aspire to be Rambo.

  • Dude! That's a badass machine gun guitar! Why Alice holding a cruch? There were a couple times where I thought he was gonna throw it into the audience!

  • The crutch is symbolic of not being fully independent yet as you've been a child all the way until 18. At 18 he wants to get rid of the crutch of dependence but can't quite do it since dependence is all he's known. It's what the song is about.

  • being 18 is like being cripled on your own but cant drink or anything such

  • Alice Cooper is AMAZING and Beyond. This song is so true going throught the 18 yrs stage! Thanks for posting the vid!

  • and now that we're done with that, boys and girls, let's go play some golf, k?

  • Alice is way underated. He is the father of KISS, Marilyn Manson all of glam in the 70's and 80's. but with much more talent...he rocks

  • manson doesn't deserve the honor of being called copper's son.

    he's nothing but an ass

  • manson is a great artist...but i agree cooper being "his father"

  • Gotta agree. Way underrated. Even had a good ballad or two (Only Women Bleed, You and Me) ... in addition to all the great rockers.

  • totally agree with you

  • @ronwell438 exactley and when he screams you can understand not like this dumb shit today

  • @ronwell438 underated hahaa he sucks fat dick

all of his songs are terrible and he looks like a faggot

this is his only good song

and everything u mentioned sucked btw

  • @aswizzle His only good song? what do you live in a cave? this isnt even his biggest hit, (might have been his first hit but was not his biggest) what about Schools out? No more Mr Nice guy? Welcome to my nightmare? I do dissagree that he is the "father of Kiss" since his first hit was in 1971 I woudl consider them more contemporaries, but Rob Zombie? Marylyn Manson? Even bands like Slipknot, yes they definitely owe their careers to Alice Cooper

  • @ronwell438 Yeah no shit. They had some real talent. Especially with Kip Winger.

Alice started it all, plain and fukkin simple!

  • @ronwell438 He does rock...But don't mention him with KISS or Marilyn Manson if you want him to sound good

  • @Ogremagefromhell what was that supposed to mean?

  • @Ogremagefromhell marilyn manson can suck my balls

  • i hope alice cooper never die if he die there is no good music to listen too Alice Cooper rock`s

  • Great song ! All time classic BIG master Alice Cooper, but..........WHAT DOES HE DID WITH THIS EXTREMELY FUNNY 'KANE ROBERTS' IN HIS LINE UP?????? HE COULDN'T FIND ANY OTHER GUITARIST ?? GOD, this is Alice Cooper, he could have ANY guitarist he wanted. A REAL one !!....

  • Watch closely for Kip Winger on bass guitar. Just before he went solo.

  • Bullshit! Angus Young!

  • dude, it doesn't have to always be Angus Young. I like Angus yes, but sometimes you gotta like other guitar players

  • I like other gutarists too! I just like Angus the most!

  • That Rambo guitarist is 3 times bigger than Cooper.

  • I saw this show in Green Bay in '87. I was shocked at how few people were actually present. (Weeknight) Tesla was the opening act. I remember Alice "cutting" the Rambo-guitar-guy's arm with a stunt sword and running a guy through with a mic-stand. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the mic-stand victim was the lead singer from Tesla. I could just imagine the opening band members backstage fighting over who got to be impaled by Alice every night!
