Can they hire somebody who doesn't say "uh" in every sentence. This guy said "uh" at least 38 times. I say "at least" because I didn't catch them all. They need to get someone like Tony Snow who just lies, but lies well. ;)
Never keen on overly formal, I’m ok with “uh” & "um" (just don’t go ELLis LANKster). But, the White House should have hired a press secretary who won’t make reporters and viewers at home hungry upon seeing his name. their choice with jay carney seems to be more like, ok, we tried to play nice by giving you robert gibbs, he'll actually engage in a give and take, but jay carney is more like, I work for the president, this is the answer, now take it or leave it.
@blueshade26 Actually, it's more like..."I'm Jay Carney, I'm not with the "inner circle" as Gibbs was. Which means I don't have any where near the access that Gibbs did." This also means that he doesn't have anywhere near the level of arrogance that Gibbs had either. He gives an answer but he doesn't do "give and take" because he has no clue how to do it.
He's explaining to reporters what his job is... Some of'em have been reporters for the last 20 years. I'm sure they know what his job is. Gibbs was not that brilliant but he knew how to defflect questions. This guy doesn't have a clue. He's the face of the WH to the media. The 3 that I consider the best of our time would be Mike McCullum from the Bill Clinton era. Ari Fleischer and Tony Snow from Bush. These 3 were major league guys.
what a pip squeak-- POTUS-- he's a pip squeak too. Ok folks lets all kiss one another's @ss. This guy's like a drunk monkey with a lit firecracker. We went from Bobby Hill to Elroy Jetson.
Fielding trickee, trickee, speculative questions every minute, every hour... and, once or twice a year, getting a purely informational question. I think Gibbs got four.
He needs a haircut, some product, a tailored suit jacket and lasix. Stop wearing white shirts on camera. Jay looks like a Fuller Brush salesman, maybe Electrolux.
Tepid guy, in the top-10 on my "Pay Him No Mind" List. Totally unmemorable.
Oh, I mean unless he has something substantive to say, of course. Good luck with that JC.

Could somebody help me out:
1) Is Jay Carney the fecal clone of Art Carney?
2) Is Jay Carney a retard or a faggot?
Thank you.

Obama White House press Secretary: the gift that keeps on giving.
nolibs101 1 year ago
@nolibs101 I'd say the same with any press secretary under Bush, but then I always forget...... Bush himself was the gift that keeps on giving.

@NWsubmom Who would you recommend?
Francebrasil 1 year ago
@Francebrasil Someone who doesn't already have controversy in his past.
He used to be a reporter for Time or some other liberal rag and supposedly quit in order to work on Obama's campaign in 2008.
Apparently he was still collecting a paycheck for some time after he supposedly quit.
That's sort of the same think that got Keith Olberman in trouble before he quit or was fired by MSNBC.
Google it.
