thx - another question when i put my headphones into my ipod i just can hear loud. you know maybe what is the problem ? can i repair it or some tipps ?
@23Michaelson Only if you can (painstakingly) get it working. It is hell to get it working check out the behind the scenes video i did on ipad... its same method.
@charliegatitobrown They are various internal songs produced by Apple (Computer) Inc. for the tape "The Apple Boogie" in the 80's... they were licensed parodys of common 80s songs.
The order is: Leading the Way, The Apple Power & Passion Song, Power to Be Your Best, Apple II Forever, Breaking Through, Blue Busters
YESS! Thank you so much! I've ben trying to find a video like this for ages, I have one of these remotes too, can you please tell me how you did this? Thanks!
I gt it n it doznt work i am soo anoyed i got it free wen i bought ma ipod touch..becoz ma sound n music ain clear wiv ma headphones on...they gav it! My ipod
Is a 2nd gb jailbroken n 4.0 update..help me sum1!!!plz
@TheKMStudios Nope all that ever worked (2 time) was remote mode. FM required some kind of bytecode to run on the iPod and that was meant for the old classic iPod OS.
There is no offical remote accessory for iPhone OS devices... in theory it could be done via bluetooth but im not fully sure how or if apple allows it.
Why the hell would someone need a remote for their ipod touch when they can just reach an extra foot and touch the thing for the next song?! This is pointless. Waist of money. People are VERY needy. Lol
Got one for the motorcycle - (the griffin model) ipod tucked away in a windsheild pouch or jacket poket and the remote and fm radio is velcro'ed to the handlebar or gas tank or where ever needed/
It is a fluke to even get it to work at all... at last attempt I have had no success to get it working since that attempt on 3.0 that was shown in video.
And well it worked the same way as it does on the classic ipod devices.
@content3300 The MFi (Made for iPhone,iPod,iPad) program requires accessories to have a chip in them... the chip can be used to lock out the accessory on future products and force buying of new accessories.

It's called winter... you cant use ipod touch with mitts/gloves on since its capacitive touch screen.

I got one of these remotes for my ipod touch but its not working.
jondea0 2 years ago
Yep they are designed and only really work on iPod Classic line.
It was a pure fluke that i got it working on iPhone OS... i've never been able to get it working ever since that video was made.
kibmczv2 2 years ago
they just said that so you'd be scammed into buying a new remote that will "work on the ipod touch" lol

There are rumors that it may start to work in 3.0 firmware but that is not confirmed.

how you can use the control with the ipod touch 1 gen?
alanperez25 2 years ago
You can't... I could only get it to work on my 2nd gen only once. You see its chipped and its listed as supported device in iPhone OS.
kibmczv2 2 years ago
@kibmczv2 What do you mean "chipped"?
