  • there is nothing 4d about this.

  • Upside In?

  • My Fourth Dimensional Pony: Friendship is Temporal

  • 4th dimension is time

  • @Jadix one of them, anyway...

  • @Jadix NO ITS NOT. People keep saying this the have know clue what they are talking about. Time is a TEMPORAL dimension NOT SPATIAL. Space-Time is 4D but space is still only 3D. This video is about 4 SPATIAL dimensions which would make 5D space-time.

  • 00:20 lol

  • best way i describe 4th dimension: trying to eat yourself

  • this isnt 4d. if it were 4d we would be able to see all points of that horse at once

  • Sir, I am suing you for brain rape.

  • what the fuck was that?

  • A 4D horse? COOL!

  • fake

    dimension fake

  • @TheRafangel1 just because you can't comprehend it, doesn't mean it's fake.

  • @Perion He's a troll... Don't mind that...

  • @TheRafangel1 Grow up retard.

  • scared and my head hurts ;^;

  • so this is what its like to be high O.O

  • funny horsie?

  • Why do people keep saying that we really only see 2D projections of 3D objects... If you close one eye, you are looking at everything in 2D, but once you look at an object with both eyes, you are seeing it from 2 perspectives at the same time, which creates depth... THE 3RD DIMENSION.

  • @LocoBoyBailar lol not how it works depth perception is depth perception. seeing somthing in 3d would mean we would see all sides of a 3d object at the same time. depth perception only helps us judge the distance/ depth of an object.

  • @Just1NewZealander That's not correct either LOL

  • @Just1NewZealander yes, a 1D creature will see only in 0D, 2D will see in 1D, and 3D will see in 2D. What we actually see is 2 2D pictures that are superimposed on each other to create the illusion of depth, in reality we see in 2D. 3D sight will allow us to see every point of a 3D surface simultaneously.

  • @DaniOcean ha, that's pretty cool i never thought about that

  • @LocoBoyBailar we need a 3rd eye. Period.

  • Just imagine a 2-d resident of flatland witnesses one of his fellow constituents rotate in the unheard of "3rd dimension". If he flipped 180 degrees in that dimension he would be characteristically inside-out, or reversed. That is essentially what is depicted here, but in a dimension higher.

  • Making a w axis rotation of an irregular object (mostly you find tesseracts) makes the rotation seem much simpler. Do you know how I could simulate a w axis rotation in blender? I'm not very bright so a simple method would be appreciated.

  • trippy.

  • I suppose this is like the projection of a 2d object from a 2-sphere by a light shining onto the sphere parallel to the z axis with the 2d object on it, but in this case, a 3d object is projected from a 3-sphere with a 'light' shining on ithe 3-sphere parallel to the w-axis.

  • Can't believe everything does this continuously

  • I think this is as close as we can get to see 4d :) thanx, I was having trouble imaging this kind of prespective

  • Polka music would complement the rotation very nicely

  • on drugs this pony is

  • gifable!

  • WTF

  • my peni is like that

  • dude what up with the creepy music?

  • no person has ever really seen in 3d. everything we can see is a 2d projection of our 3d world. in theory if we saw our selves in 4d we would look like a long snake with our embryonic stage at one end and our diseased self at the other. everything in 4d would pretty much be a visible timeline of itself.

  • @brandeezy108 Ho nice :) That's a good description of what would be to see in 4D if the 4th dimension in the time. But in that case, (because he speaks about hypersphere) it an imaginary 4th physical dimension.

    But damn I like you're theory !

  • how is this 4d?

  • But can it run?

  • That looks a little uncomfortable.

  • O_e

  • Kind of scary...

  • It's kind of like having a convex and concave mirror.

  • AUTOFELLATIO MUCH?!

  • The fourth dimension is time soooo.... was the pony inside out a few days before?

  • 4d would be what happens in a 3d video game when you fly out of the game map from a glitch...you see an object and this objects position in times befor from the screen not updating areas without a 3d object... having the time axis looking towards you by you seeing the last event and in the bacground postirior events being retained

  • .........a 3d representation of a 4d rotation in an illusion of 3d space on a 2d surface........this is pointless, and indescribable.

  • @tbrew222 it's indescribable, which is why you just described it.

also so what if it's pointless? still cool

  • @tbrew222 Well said sir. +1

  • moral of the video is in 4D you can see all of a 3D object at once......if you want a instant mind fuck just think of that...

  • @muiscnight Granted, it's just a theory, but the 4th demension cannot been seen, just felt and relayed as a thought in the mind. Seeing with eye's closed. This shit truely is a mind fuck, though.

  • An important thing to remember is that the horse always stays intact. It is never torn or broken in any way.

  • Um...

  • now bring porn in 4D!

  • well in this video it seems like at some points the horse bends into forever, as it goes reaaaally far into the background. is that just an illusion or would being bent in 4 dimensions do that?

  • Wow, my dreams are more accurate than i thought.

  • 1)i thought that he was going to suck his on di#!@

    2)my fav part was 0:20

  • This reminds me of Funnie Horsie.

  • that horse need gas-x... did you see how it exploded??

  • very cool . although ultimately ironic because as I'm sure you know, we are actually watching all of this in 2D! We assume a 3rd dimension because of the real world (the world not on this screen), and then we even come up with strange ways to visualize a 4th dimension using the properties of 3 dimensions, all viewed through a 2 dimensional screen. cool and ironic. the best.

  • @JBeezie428 Well technically speaking, it's a 2d representation of simulated 3d mathematics. See, 3d works on a computer via shading. Think of it this way: You shade faces of a 2d image to make it look 3d (much like you do with a pencil). Your computer apply transformations to this shape to give it the appearance of 3 dimensional rotation, but in actuality your just resizing/turning/skewing a 2d image to match up with what you would expect the real 3d version to look like.

  • ca fait peut hein ? ^^

    this is scary !

  • The horse: OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWCH

  • ... did I just fuck the watch?

  • mindfuck

  • so, at 0.07 the horse is turned inside out.

    at 0.05, it was...

    it was not.. xD

how is that, all out of a sudden, possible?

I think, not. because a horse is a 3D object, right?

and what lies behind the horse's skin, when he's turned inside out?

    huhhh...

  • @drummerKrullebol What you see is only possible in the fourth dimension. In this three dimensional representation quite impossible things happen.

  • @TarnationCarnation we are 4d, but only see in 3d like how 2d flatlanders only see in 1d and how 1d creatures only see 0d points. we are only passing through the 3rd dimension. us in 4d is basically our birth and death joined as one segment. more general, once the 4d version of our universe passes through the 3rd dimension, our universe would be "dead" in this 3d space, but probably alive in a parallel 3d universe that it's still passing through. think of us as film going through a movie camera.

  • I can't unsee that.

  • it spun! i mean, it flipped, no, twisted, no, it... i mean, woahhh.......

  • zoom out

  • look at that horse, that horse is amazing. X)

  • Very cool illustration, thank you. I like reading science fiction and stuff but it's really hard to imagine how movements around the 4th dimension would look.

  • @ruterhaase the Fifth Dimension is music.

  • da fuk?

  • I hope I'm never spun around by some 4D person, that looks like it would hurt..

  • What the watch did i just Fuck?

  • It's a one-trick-pony, but what a trick.

  • @carlsetzer first top comment ever to be funny

  • @snuffsan not true. there are plenty of top comments that are funnier than that

  • @Waterworks410 how can you call someone elses opinion false

  • The fuck did I just watch?

  • Why the fu.. would you like to rotate this poor horse in 4D? This can easily be done also in 3D. Do not make the world more complicated as it already is.

  • imagine watching movies IN 4D!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @eftultima In movie speech the 4th dimension is actually sound. So according to that view you already watch movies in 4D... Don't tell the press, although

  • @Ch4rli3Brown haha my friend said a 4D movie would be a play

  • that was a little bit scarry..

  • I saw a horse do that the other week.

  • @joecracko LOL mate

  • wow that is trippy

  • our perspective in 4d is incomplete even this is still 3d and just a 3d shadow to a 4d crature if you think harder this is still 2d just by looking at the screen

  • @CariagaXIII Actually this is a 3D slice of a 4D shape, like when you try to draw a sphere or a cube in a sheet of paper, that is actually an 2D slice of a 3D shape.

  • Pop in sum shrooms, a blot of acid and smoke a joint!!! same shit in reality!!! trust me i hav seen it!!!

  • isnt that just warped space time?

  • um...fat horse? O.o

  • Ugh, I don't wanna imagine a 4d creature imagining what it's like in the 5th dimension...

  • ugh.. after seeing this im sure i dont wanna see in 4d :/

  • I was told the 4th dimension is duration or time

  • @tJustSoup : Yes, but think about it: if you would move in the4th dimension, you could be at any time point "in" anyplace...just like we are entering the circle in a 2D world from above.

But since we "only" see in 3D and experince one slice of 4D, wouldn't we just see the world in 2D fashion with the third as 3D rep., even if we are rised above the plane of our 3D world? The 2D flatlander would also still see 2D but only a 1D representation of his world, since his body is still 2D and not 3D.

  • @tJustSoup no, its not the manifestation of time itself. think about it. loop time around, and you keep repeating time right? reloop it, make a straight path, whatever. time is a variable. time does not flow in one direction. it is being able to see 3d with a second viewpoint in the object.

  • If that would be real horse his guts would spill everywhere?

  • @PivotmasterHD Do you break a circle on the ground by stepping through it? No, sme gos 4D to 3D

  • WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • This is so beautiful.

  • is this topology

  • This is haunting. The music, the horse and the whole concept of the 4th dimension is quite scary.

  • So 4D is pointless because we cant even see it.. its just a concept

  • @zenethaleir If you consider Time pointless, then yes, 4D is pointless.

  • @RyanKaufman If you believe that 'time' is the fourth dimension then yes. But its not.

  • @zenethaleir Can you prove time isn't? I can point out the definition of 4D and have it sync up with Time, that's proof enough for me.

  • @RyanKaufman I can see what you mean. The fourth dimension doesn't really exist.. it is just a concept. In theory we would be able to see a 4 dimensional object at any given point in time, but only in a 3d form, a cross section of the 4D object. Which would probably look very strange. The other parts of the object that we cannot see could be perceived to be in another time. However I would lean more toward the other parts of the object being in a parallel world in the same time zone

  • @zenethaleir Again, any proof backing this data? Do you have proof that a 4 Dimensional object is ALWAYS going to be in our view? If it can be in any part of our 3D world, then who's to say it'll come anywhere near Earth? It could be in a theoretical Multiverse, it could be on Mars, it could be by Orion, we'd have to catch it before it moves away from our dimension, and I'll say again, Time fits perfectly in with the definition of the fourth dimension, even if it's not, something does.

  • You can not imagine how much I wish someone would make a real big-budget Cthulhu movie that includes non-Euclidean architecture! And if done by a team of the guy who did Ju-On and the guy who did the Alien monsters, it would be awesome!

  • i've always wanted to see a horse from the inside out

  • Isn't this a 4th demential rotation in 2d. Now if this was a hologram it would be cooler

  • Why do I imagine Charlie the Unicorn?

  • 4-D creatures would make the best doctors. They could see your insides all the time, immediately detect what's wrong with you, and operate on you without cutting open your skin.

  • @progrockcoffee That's brilliant. Yay, no surgery!

  • @Dirtfire Actually the 4th dimension is time. so it's not a perspective per say.

  • @Alhazzred01 I think he wanted to say "the fourth dimension of space".

  • so conclusion...."U can give blow jobs to your own penis in 4-D"....Great !!! :P

  • so is there an opensource script that can be downloaded?

  • And this is why I'm happy my brain only works in 3D

  • omg!!! :D

  • guys....my brain just exploded.

  • the horse didnt have balls.............

  • that is incredibly disturbing. but awesome.

  • OK,

  • So, 3D in 4D would look something like an unwrapped texture skin looks, but without being unwrapped?

  • at one point i thought that a horse is heading toward his penis, to give himself a blow job. really awkward moment xD

  • @mostwantedo No of course we can't see in 4d.

When you see a '3d' image on your computer screen, unless you are using 3D specs of some sort you ACTUALLY see a 2D representation of a 3D object.

What we see here is a 3D object 'painted onto' a 4D hypersphere which is then rotated in 4 dimensions. This is then represented in 3D by the program and converted into 2D for viewing on a computer screen.

@headlessindian - any chance of reposting this as an anaglyph?

  • Einstein claims that time is the 4th dimension.

Other Scientist think that time isn't the 4th dimension and time doesn't exist, Today the 4th dimension may be considered "awesome" but still is just a theory.

  • Interesting, you can make 4D stuff with 3D programs? If you CAN make that using only 3 axises, then it's no way to be a 4-dimensional stuff.

Learn this, people - we cannot imagine the fourth dimension.

I understand that you mean ''inside is outside'', but if so, we must see all sides at once!

    But good job anyway.

  • @Mostwantedo True, Us three dimensional beings may only see 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional objects

  • the music just makes it sound creepy

  • now, what is the the forth dimension?? cause 3rd is deptth?/

  • Awesome job. It scares me..

  • now that's freaking me out

  • So, the fourth dimension is where everything sticks out of a sea of milk? ...Huh.

  • Good job, but is not the result of 3d proyection over 4d space is a symetric reflection of a 3d object over a 3d space using a 3d sphere like a mirror (the vectors are inverted, the old origin of vectors is transform to one of the multiple normal of interior of sphere. Sorry me english. Video <<Inversions of a man's head>> explain itself much better.

  • That was amazing. Really awesome.

  • looks like time warpped

  • Best youtube video I've seen so far to help "visualize" what 4d (is).

  • The 4D looks sweet but i feel more confy in the 3D dimension

  • yep that's a female

  • What the hell just happened here?

  • The 4D horse will be owned by a 5D horse!!!

  • This just made understanding the fourth dimension a little easier.

So if you were rotated in 4D space, as

HeyHeyHarmonicaLuke put it, you'd be a mirror image of your former self?

  • Yes, It's easy enough to understand what a 3 dimensional object would look like if it was moved in the fourth dimension, but imagining a 4 dimensional object is much harder.

  • Whoa...

0:24 must've been a real uncomfortable sight for the horse.

  • totally diging it and I am not stoned like the rest of these readers.

  • Yes, you are.

  • SO HIGH RIGHT NOW MAAAAAAN

  • i get it now! thank you so much! the tesseract graphics never showed it quite so well as the horse. now the crazy thing to understand is that the horse isn't actually stretched but just rotated.

  • im slightly stoned, and this freaked me out man!!!

  • if a 4d being plucked you out of the 3d world and flipped you in the 4th spatial dimension and put you back, you would be a mirror image with your heart on the right instead of the left :D and you'd become left handed instead of right handed :D

same thing if a 2d person walked along a mobius strip until he returned to his starting position

  • The music make it a bit scary...my own opinion

  • This actually makes a lot of sense now that i understand 4th dimension. If you were to rotate a square in flatland into the up dimension (unperceivable to flatland residents) then the square would simply appear to transform inversely, just as the horse in the video appeared to us to transform inversely. So that is what a horse looks like rotated around the w-axis

  • cool but a little bit scary

  • :15 is cool

  • 4th spatial dimension

  • This is ultra amazing.
