Ist according to Kurt an improvisation. There is a longer clip on his homepage on Podcasts (on tour with Kurt sort of) where you hear the whole tune. If you search here on youtube on seminario and Kurt rosenwinkel you will find a 5 min clip from this clinic where he talks about music and guitarplaying. All the best,
The fact that this is just "an improvisation" gives you a small peek into kurt's genius. This could be the chord progression for a tune in its own right.

the newer d'angelicos are supposed to be lesser quality.

in this video he is not using a d'angelico guitar, he is using his Domenico Moffa Lorrain Kurt Rosenwinkel Signature.
Domenico Moffa is one of the best liuters in the world!!
