This is horrible. If you don't get better, **** off, is what her family are basically saying. I actually had a similar thing from my sister, she said that she'd never speak to me again if I didn't get better. It made me worse.
The interventionist is horrible.She WAS blaming her. EDs affect familes yes, but don't put the guilt onto her when she's suffering already. She wouldn't *choose* to hurt and lie to her family.
i think everyone has to think for a second. Yeah, this interventionist was definitely not the best but do you know what? Someone has to say something to her. She has obviously been babied and provided with privileges she shouldn't have had. I'm not a specialist in ED's but Cassandra can't keep having it "her way" which her family (from the look of things) has been letting her get away with for far too long.
the interventionist obviously does not know how an eating disorder is as fragile as glass. it's a delicate subject & to speak so harshly to cassandra is just repulsive.
