Oh shit man.. I remember that maze. I knew it like the back of my hand and I'd always find the hidden passage/trapdoor and dive in just to hide from the butler.. And then when I got out, HE WAS RIGHT THERE STARING AT ME! I HATE THAT BUTLER! HE'S SO USELESS!

My friend kept trying to convince me that you could find guns in the attic, and he'd walk around wearing a target... Never found it. I never tried the freezer though, I'll have to do that next time I play the game for shits and giggles.

Why is it that low detail games, which aren't meant to be scary, ARE SCARIER THAN THE NEW HORROR GAMES?

I mean, sheesh. Take SH1 against SH5 for example, just graphically.

SH1 = scares the shit out of everyone, all days of the year for the rest of time.

SH5 = scary-ish.. meh.

@TwilightOkami It's because they could only do so much with the graphical limitations of SH1, so to make up for that, they created a fog over the city so that way the game renders better. Since consoles are better these days, developers want to show off their pretty graphics so you don't see stuff like that as much anymore. There was an article about it some where, but I can't find it. In this games case however, I think its the fact that he's boxy looking, where as he would be round today.
