I remember watching this on Glee when it first aired. I thought Dianna was unbelievably sexy singing that song, an obvious irony because the whole point of the plot was that they sing something clean.

That said, this version sucks the soul out of Aretha's hit. The tempo is too fast and the instrumentation sounds like a MIDI. There's some really obvious pitch correction, too (especially at the word "before", 0:15). Soul isn't about hitting the note to within 1Hz.
