  • HOLY SHIT!

  • it's only a led controller

  • is it hard to set up a control for controling ur fans speed i want to do this on my comp, becuase i live in Austrailia it gets really hot in summer my comp has 6 fans but it still gets pretty warm, if i set up a speed control for it i could turn up the speed of the fans in summer, or isnt it posable to do that?

  • @sylar1989 its not hard. run to your local electronics shop and pick up a 10k potentiometer, some toggle switches and wire. Wire them in parallel for the switches and connect to your pot. If you have some experience in wiring simple electronics, this is cake.

  • @sylar1989 ta mate

  • why on earth would you want something so ugly on top of your case?

It's not even inside the case, I know lets stick a motherboard on top too.

  • Sounds like generator kicking in. Do you have to wear ear plugs?

  • Niice setup. Love the homebrew

  • Those fans are link depot 120mm blue led fans if i remember correctly

  • What LED fans are those?

  • jeez thats alot of cooling

  • nice...

  • "if you think 18-25 decibels is loud you have some type of hyper hearing." read this.. CLOSELY it said if YOU!& Think* 18-25 Db is loud then you have some TYPE OF HYPER hearing. "

  • lol... 50db? maybe But i said nothing about 50 db there is one fan i can think of that can go as high as 50db in noise and that thing is like a fucking Jet airplane so much moving air.

  • Lol... this is a radiator

  • lol awesome, i like the fact they are very quiet.

  • @FailLikeAChamp yeah the fans are pretty quiet and the potentiometer helps lower it even more.

  • @mikhsoj i wanna do that for my pc what kind of switches are those ?????? please reply

  • @cnks1

I don't think that huge rad is just for looks...

  • @cnks1 those are toggle switches from radioshack

  • you do that all day?... i would

  • Comment removed

  • @Eliotzo It's a radiator it's where the water goes to dissipate heat after it's been through the CPU, GPU etc. Putting fans on it helps actually it's almost mandatory, and you don't know what you are talking about when you say "water cooling isn't good."

  • the only thing good about watercooling is how silent it can be. temps are usually Around the same temp as Air cooling if not Air cooling better In some cases. Watercooling is for Looks and Silent Fans is for Cooling along side with Liquid Nitrogen LOL

MY OPINION i dont need you people giving me your Crap comments unless you have something To explain. in good reason not Bull shit i hate comments.

  • I have something to explain. You're a moron who doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • thats not something to Explain. and Im not a moron. Im just a Guy who has tested and Seeing Watercooling at its best and It doesnt Work Well at all.. and the really good ones at like 500$ and are not worth buying. and even those Dont hold up to there name for long. Like i said Iv tested and USed them but Went back to air because There Cheaper More Trust worthy and Some Are dead Silent.

  • Dude, you really don't know what your talking about. I have played with water cooling and it puts air cooling to shame. The rig I set up with it one day when I was bored never went above room temperature. I had 3 120 mm fans that were on low and completely silent. Overclocked my old p4 from 3.0 to 4.2 no problem! Total cost less than $150. A Good air cooler still costs $50+.

Oh and A good water pump will never ever go out as long as you have water in the system!

  • pumps do give out more then not. And Thats because of the motor. Dieing. So saying that if keeping the tank full keeps it going for ever is BS. Now understand that i spend $33-$50 on my air cooling. Cpu cooler and A extra fan and My pc Never ever everr goes higher then 48C but my graphics card. AND if Properly cared for. the fans will last Awhile. SO In other words Spend 150$ Plus fluid Check the system every 4 months or 6 months Fill the tank check leaks or

  • stick some fans in there and adjust the power of the fans and then Never need to look inside *unless you have no dust prevention do hickey then you need to open it once for 3 min to Dust the air out and then its good for another 6 + months.

  • @cncmasterw If you build it properly you will NEVER have to worry about it.

And maybe the electronics could possibly go out in the motor of the pump, but the chances of that happening are the same with a fan's electronics.

With the good pumps though, If you keep water in them, you will never EVER have to worry about bearings going out as you do with a fan.

  • @cncmasterw Oh, I forgot to mention, my room temperature is 22C and as I said my cpu was at room temperature, aka 22c , never went higher!

  • and you have proof of this. hm? because talking shit doesnt mean shit when you dont have proof.

  • @cncmasterw I did that years ago, I used a p4 for gods sake. Tell you what, next time I'll record it and post it up here just for you.

Meanwhile search the internet for your proof, thousands of people have proven it!

I know water cooling is the way to go, that's all I need to know.:-)

  • think what you will. If it makes you happy then everybody wins. But acting like its the best solution in the world. Then i have a problem. Fans are good Because there basic Water cooling is good because AT TIMES> and If your good enough. And Have alot of money to buy the Good stuff. Then yes. water cooling would be the way to go. But i highly Highly doubt that your pc Under full load has 22c the whole time. lol.. WHen i said 48C thats full load. 30C is idle. in a normal temp room.

  • @cncmasterw Yea fans are a good quick fix. I'm using fan cooling on my current rig just because I haven't had the time to set up water cooling.

Oh I wish I had time to put my old rig back together, just to show you, it was awesome! :-)

  • pokes. I dont really need Proof. i was Raging >D I know water cooling works but its not the BEST. i know some high end Air cooling that could max watercooling.

  • @cncmasterw High end Air cooling costs hundreds as well, and its loud. And if Water cooling is not the best then why do they use it on cars. Its the same principle. All air cooled cars ever made tend to overheat. It all depends on what a person wants I guess.

  • hahahahahahahahahaa... Loud? lol... if you think 18-25 decibels is loud you have some type of hyper hearing. because my pc Barely makes any noise at all. REMEMBER Watercooling have fans too. to keep that water cool. and no High End air cooling doesnt cost HUNDREDS if you are smart.

  • hahahahahahahahaha... sure, then you put it on you tube and prove it. lol

48C is NOT a good temp at load, your cooling isn't adaquate. Sure it works, but that's still not a good temp.

Water cooling, as I said before, doesn't need the fans on high. lol

  • i can turn my fans OFF and still maintain 50c. my cpu fan is always on 20%

  • @cncmasterw Um, when I would turn the fans OFF on that water cooling rig then it would go above room temp, I think it hit 38c if I remember right. A big radiator makes a great fan less solution too.

  • lol..... Well what ever makes you happy. If checking your computer Ever so often makes you happen then good for you. But if i can Barely hear my pc. And It says Cool and Works flawlessly then For one i know its on Two i know its working Three its Awesome and 4 I never need to check on the pc but the Filters. pop open the front pull the filter out and Bam im done. no need to open the case.

  • @cncmasterw Sounds like you lack a bit on computer maintenance. But if you want to trust that your computer will never die that's your problem I guess. :-)

  • did. i say never die? lol.. no i dont thinks soo... hmm.. lol... can we end this conversation. always with another comment >D

  • @cncmasterw I just find it funny how arrogant you are, lol, I'm done then, have a nice day. :-)

  • arrogant. lol.. haha.. I just find my self Trusting AIR Cooling better then water. I my self Built a water cooling system for a friend. The computer works well. Stays cool. But needs to be checked every 6 or so months. Had a pump die on him once. So pissed off. for a first Experience

  • @mattg889 my setup has a yate loon super silent fan on the back that is always on and isnt controlled by the fan controller. that fan is practically inaudible and keeps my temps below 35c.

  • PWNED!

  • wtf? lol

  • haha xD

  • lol variable resistors xD nice one xD

  • that is nice lol like an aeroplane (the switches and turbines)

  • hey, is it possible to make a switch to disable the LED lights on an LED fan?

  • yeah you just cut the wire that goes to the leds. lol then put it back when you want it.

  • mm if i make a switch in the middle of the cut wire, would that still work on and off? btw you know which wire is for LEDS?

  • Its possible, but you would have to un-soldier all the LED's and connect them in series to a switch, which would be a bit of an effort.

  • mm :/ damn.. well ill forget it xD

  • LOL, great watercooling.

  • Yeah I know that, but why didn't you make it nicer?

    = /

  • WTF have you done to your computer = O

  • it's called watercooling :) and the thing the fans are sitting on is the radiator :)

  • Yeah! I know that, but why didn't you try to make it a little nicer?

  • It's not my computer :S i have my cooling inside of the case :O

  • Can you buy anything like this anywhere?

  • put it on your xbox if you have one ,,,.. you would never get the rrod

  • @xxxxstrongxxxxbox bullshit

  • @xxxxstrongxxxxbox

Not easy considering how hard MS tries to stop us from saving our valuable tech, with Hacking the Xbox in hand it might just be possible however!

  • thats beast

  • you do if the fans are high speed and noisy, with no way to control them. some of these 120mm fans get pretty damn loud.

  • Especially deltas... 60 fricking dB, and that's just the 4000RPM one.

  • Do you realy need this?

  • Yes, in some cases you do

  • But you can manage all 6 fans with just 1 power switch.

You dont need all other. You could use them for something else.

  • what if you don't want all 6 of the fans on at once? 6 fans make a lot of noise...

  • Only if they're loud fans. I have 11 fans in my case (A bit overkill... I'm going to remove a few of them at some point), and pretty much all the noise comes from the set of higher-power ones. The other ones (akaska blue LED fans) are next to silent, and they make up the majority.

  • there is no CPU that needs a 6 FAN cooling.....

  • CPU or Computer? Please clarify, a CPU is a chip, a Computer is the CPU and other things as well. but either way your right, but it does look kinda cool...

  • it looks cool but he shoul use 12cm coolers instead beacuse they are more silent ........

  • I think hes talking about the Central Processing Unit. But this would be a setup for the whole comp.If all this was just for the CPU it is a waste of money and entirely overkill

  • omg thats cool lol.

  • ur rig is not bad, hey u find telling me or helping me out on fan controlling.. i can hook up my kaze master , it comes out into mini 3 pins. my fans on my case is large 4 pin, i bought a adapter to change it but its not power. should i look for new fans or a 3 way adapter for the power. thought the controller would give power to fans but doesnt. let me know if u can help . if u dont understand let me know,. .. reply if u can been stuck on this for pretty long

  • Where did you get your layout for the wiring and all?

  • i made one with a 20k pot. it smells of burning :-(

  • yeah u need to get a really powerful pot or a rheostat.

  • i` like to do the same thing but i`m afraid that the pc will shut down ... cuz the protection in the powersurce will it work on any psu ?

  • looking good

  • n1ce :)

  • That is Just Cool!

Toggle Switches are the way to go!

    Thanks!

    (Runs to Radio Shack...)

  • holy crap i had the exact same idea in mind, and for the same reason, cuz the knobs can actually lose some power going to the fans

  • I hope you can help me , I wanna make something like you did because i have 3 fans in front of my case and 3 at the back, i only want to use them on full when im gaming and for normal work i like to keep them low can you tell me how you did make such a nice fan controller?

  • cool.

  • do you really need that many fans?

  • yeah. i do. Amd 64 x2 processor originally 1.8 ghz (3800 brisbane) overclocked to 2.9/3.0 ast 1.4vcore. yeah it gets hot and yes i do need all those fans to control the temperature on my cpu. that and i have a 7900gtx overclocked on the same water loop. fans = necessary

  • lol apparently you do, i wasent being a dick by the way when i said that i was just asking

  • oh sorry if i came off harsh. i wanst being a dick when replying either. =) no hard feeling. just typed a really fast reply and i guess it came off weird.

  • no man its fine lol.

  • hey wat graphics card do u recoment i am 15 i am relly into computers i will be doing computer programing when school opens but any way i have been looking at vids on tube about how to build them i think i know how now but selecting parts is hard for a noob like me help plz (no geek) just find it looks fun i am a gamer and i wana build a gaming rig

  • Use lighter fluid, it's more conductive.

  • you make no sense.

  • it's a joke I just got through watching the flamethrower videos

  • if you turn it on its side you will have a better air flow!

and for the people who say it's stupid, some cases like the coolermaster cosmos s you can mount it on the top!

  • there is a cutout under the fans, on the top part of my case. it allows air to be drawn out from the inside of my tower. there is a LOT of air being moved through this setup!

  • it makes to many noise

  • yeah, when you have 5 120mm fans and 2 80mm fans to cool a heavily overclocked system, u need that kind of airflow. and yest. its noisy as hell.

  • great job man but do you know from where i can i buy a switch like that or something like that???

    thx

  • there isnt a switch like this. thats why i made it.

  • What is the impedance of the resistor?? I have a 1Meg ohm and a 100K ohm potentiometer, will either of these work?

  • What a useless contraption :)

Usually you put the radiator at the back, so its not as noisy like a jet engine.

  • either way its noisy. back or the top. i put the radiator on the top so that i can pull the warmer air from the upper section of my case and allow colder air to enter from the lower parts. i also put it on top to stray from the traditional setup of putting the radiator on the back.

  • Bloody rich nerd.Bloody airplane on your PC.

  • dude wtf? that is bad ass.

  • And blows!!!!

  • Thats what she said.

  • ok it looks really cool but you need to actually control fan speed. very nice fans though.

  • actually, there is a rheostat built into the controls and it does manage fan speed. thats why the lights are getting dimmer and brighter in the video

  • dude, thats so good.

sell it, and i'll buy it for my water cooled system.! :D

  • Very nice, but brute, what are you cooling? a reactor? just kidding :) , i made an automatic rpm fan controller, runs perfectly and smoth... if the heat is up the rpm up too and vice versa.

    Greetings
