  • hey betty married ludden!

  • She was 45 here.

  • "Ready to go, Betty?" "Yes...Let's play the game, though." LOL!

  • look at that hair! ;)

  • @ Frank-The password is 'SWEATSHOP'.

  • Betty White & Frank Gifford sure look young 43 years ago. Today they're both alive and still active in their old age.

  • Dick Schafrath was the tackle who blocked for Jim Brown , who mentioned him in his book, Off My Chest.

  • If he death in 1961 how he can hosting on 1967? He died at 1981

  • Allen Ludden who is hosting password was married to Betty White from 1963 till his death in 1981.

  • Weird that-

Ludden, married Margaret McGloin in 1943. She died from cancer in October 1961, just days before their 18th wedding anniversary.

In 1963, Ludden married Betty white and just days before their 18th wedding anniversary in 1981 Ludden died of cancer.

  • Betty White was hot.

  • I really like the way people looked in the '60s.

  • you know, with some stars, when you look at them now, when they are older, and then see them then, much younger, it's shocking. (bette davis was an example of this.) but with betty white this doesn't happen: she's always betty. she's the same here on password 1967 as she is now in 2010 advertising for snickers. she's not old or young: she's just betty.

  • that announcers(the password is...) voice tickles me....:)

  • I LOVE Betty's giggle @ 2:19 when she teases Allen and how she sort of gets embarassed and says Oh sorry! LOLZ

  • the red glow shining through the set backdrop is the raging fire of hell

  • look @ 5:43 ... he sneaks in a gesture. "foot.... hand.." as he points to it lol. oh well. this was decades ago. i won't hold it against him :P oh, btw. I <3 BETTY WHITE.

  • This is one of the Sunday afternoon [5-5:30pm(et)] "PASSWORD" shows telecast between December 1966 and April 1967 [note Allen's comment at :42], in addition to the regular Monday-Friday daytime show. "Plugs" meant what the celebrity is "currently up to" {i.e. ALLEN: "What are you are up to these days?"/CELEBRITY: "Well, I'm going to star in a special for CBS in about two weeks- something about a hanging. Hopefully, not mine!" (all laugh at this)}. This was often edited out for later repeats.

  • I love when Betty asked Allen why he was so cross, then she giggled and had to stop herself. How cute was that?

  • Besides the Height or Color, Betty has pretty much had the same hair do for all her life.

  • The announcer: Lee Vines

  • Funny how Frank touched his hand to elicit that "hand?" response. :)

  • The 1966-'67 color daytime episodes of "PASSWORD" were syndicated between 1967 and '69, so all sponsor I.D's [including the one omitted at :27- "Yes, it's 'PASSWORD'! The first half is brought to you today by..."] and most of the "current plugs" by the celebrities as to their activities, were edited from the master tapes.

  • I'm confused, what is a plug? (a fee plug?) And what does it have to do with the show being on in color?

  • @Sweetgrl23619 A fee plug is a message for the sponsor, such as "This program is sponsored by..." or when there are plugs for the consolation prize(s) at the end of the program. G/T took out all the promotional plugs at the start of the programs (This program is sponsored by...) when it syndicated the color episodes from 1966-67 to local stations in 1967.

  • i never knew betty white had brown hair but she looks so beautiful with it

  • I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • The fee plug was edited in the beginning practice was there since Password(both Daytime & Primetime) began broadcasting in color. Also this is the primetime version so there is no fee plug here.

  • pause at 0:04 and marvel at the beauty of THE betty white.

  • Were these football players and skating stars playin for charity?

  • haha look at his mic. Big ass cord on the end. Shows how far we've come in technology

  • 'Why are you so cross tonight?'

    'I'm not cross'

    'Oh sorry..'

That was so cute how they did that :)

  • Another fee plug edit at the begaining.

  • She still has her sense of humor, even up until this day. Betty White is an amazing woman!

  • Everybody loves Betty.

  • @treytorturex She really is timeless---all generations love her!

  • WOW, I cant believe how young Betty and Frank are here. It's unbelievable to see them this young!

  • i don't know if i preffer her better with blonde or brown hair?

stunning either way :) i love her.

    shes so kind.

  • Agree stunning--one of those people who look great brown. black or blonde. probably would look godd as redhead too!

  • Ye :D a redhead! x

    fantastic women!

  • Obviously from the DVD.

  • lol your point?

  • Just wanted to point out facts.

  • So they cut the fee plugs from the DVDs?

  • Usually not.

  • How did this one get cut out then? I was about to buy the DVDs.

  • Perhaps it's because it's not embedded.

  • I was going to post this one tonight, but nevermind lol!

  • oops. sorry :P

  • That's Okay!!! I love it being on here!!! Are you going to post the one with Betty White and Paul Anka?

  • yes soon, unless you want to upload it? I don't mind at all if you do.

  • I can have it up in a few days. I have to Handbrake it, and I might need to ask my dad for help, but sure yeah I'll post it! :) Thanks!

  • oh okay, well if you can't get it up, it's no problem for me to :D

  • you're awesome for the work you put into this.
