  • ok les américains sont des héros, mais faut vous rappelez qu'ils n'ont pas fait la guerre à cause du nazisme, ou de l'invasion de l'europe, l'allemagne devenait une menace avant tout pour les états-unis

  • To have worked on this series will be somthing i will treasure in my memory banks for the rest of my life, Thank you Tom Hanks for speaking with me and for honouring these men of easy company, Whats your next plan?

  • comme on dit en france: si ces gars n'avaient pas eu ce courage et cette abnegation, nous parlerions tous allemand aujourd'hui....

  • I have watced Band of Brothers 100 milion times and I still watch it almost every month.

It is just so gritty and real and fascinating.

  • It's maybe because of those guys that we even excist. Think about it...

  • I watched the first 2 episodes of the Pacific, then i stopped.

  • @thegameexperiance

after 4th episode it gets far better.

    try it,it's worth it.

  • @thegameexperiance why's that?

  • "The Pacific" doesn't even come close to Band of Brothers.

  • We salute the rank not the man. Today we salute the man. RIP Major Winters....

  • im sorry but whoever thinks that the Pacific tops BofB honestly needs to watch them both again. The pacific is great, but the story of Dick Winters and E-company is far more exceptionally done than the pacific.

  • @mrsmed12 there both good, the pacific focuses more on 3 people, the books for the Pacific are a must read. same with BoB. "With The old breed" stuff in the the old Breed will show you how much hate was between the USA and Japan.

  • Anybody knows what happened to Ranney? He was in group with Lipton in the mission to destroy the 4 cannons, but it seems we never saw him again after that...

  • @HalDanGhor I'd like to know that as well, you can often spot him the first 2 episodes, but seems to be dissapeared later on..

  • @boebagie Yeap! He seemed to be a interesting soldier to see evolve in the movie. Just too bad he seemed to disappear...

  • My grandfather lived through...i have lived a life loving the history...absolutely exceptional!

  • Band of Brothers is the greatest WWII story ever tale

  • For all men who died during all wars I respect them all, R.I.P. all who died for our freedom.. In fields of sacrifice Heroes paid the price Young men who died for old men's wars Gone to paradise We are all one great band of brothers And one day you'll see we can live together When all the world is free R.I.P. all soldiers who died during all wars... we will respect you and what you have done for our country('s)
  • Requiem for a soldier never stops giving me goose bumps.

  • Best mini-series ever!

Ive watched this dozens of times and it never gets old for me. What an amazing story and told so well.

  • You know what would be great: a German story. One of the proud and young German solders losing there innocence, having to watch as there nation crumbles, lose the war, and finding out the horrors that there leaders are doing... and still live to tell it. No doubt that happened in real life, at least i hope.

  • @NewYorkComedian Exactly, or Russian soviet, or North Korean communist soldier in Korean War.

  • @NewYorkComedian hey there... what a good idea infact:) lets hope they make a good movie about it.. really good idea I must say;) from denmark. an a true ww2 "fan"

  • @NewYorkComedian Have you ever seen Stalingrad? It was made in Germany.

  • My heart cries

  • @david50315 me too :)

  • BEST WWII SERIE EVER!!

  • Loved this series; have now seen it 3 times. I would watch it again.

  • Soldiers like these fought for freedom and liberty so that the generation after them could live in a peaceful world. We owe these men with the deepest gratitude.

  • Band of Brothers is the greatest thing ever produced. Period.

  • winters actor is a brit o my god

  • @bigusmcWW2

Haha, you can hardly believe, right? XD

They couldn't believe whe they heard him speaking American English..

  • "Vegeneration", "Grewing up"? I think Tom Hanks was nervous.

  • @marick626 Shit, I would be too!

It's a true honor that he was able to help produce probably the greatest thing ever made.

  • At least half the actors are British - hardly anything is made about the British in the war.

  • @lithfrasir

joe liebgott and dike winters are brittish? and?

  • :o IM ENGLISH WITH RED HAIR TOO!! XD but im planning on going into the army :p

  • @kookyking

    haha redhead haha

  • WTF Damian Lewis is ENGLISH!?!?

  • Yes! Apparently Damian was doing Shakespeare when Speilberg discovered him. The amazing thing is, I've seen the series a dozen times and I can find only one spot where he lapses into his native tongue. In Part 5 "Crossroads," when he and Tab whisper about the MG42 that's firing down the road. Tab says, "What's down that road?" Dick says, "Regimental headquarters, but that's three MILES away." Only Brits emphasize "miles" when talking about distance.

OK, I've got too much time on my hands.

  • Lol

  • Holy shit, half the actors in BoB are British?!?!?!

    Damn they're good!

  • well, not half, but yes there were several British actors.

  • That's the mark of a truly great actor, to be able to fake an accent so well you'd never even know their real nationality without actually knowing the actor's background.

  • band of brothers are best wwII series

  • @coyoT1627 Now topped by The Pacific.

  • @PlaystationNation2k9 Yes Pacific is great but BoB is mutch better :) For me...

  • A great series about a group of people who did a great job under tremendous hardship and terrible conditions. Damien Lewis was brilliant. He looked and acted as a perfect true blue American. I was shocked to learn he was a British actor. A tesitment to his craft.

  • He did do a great job. I never knew he was British, either.

  • about half of the actors in BoB were british

  • Hey one of the guys is alvarez from Oz.

  • yes damian lewis is a legend most of the actors in band of brothers were british

  • I know it's totally out of the subject of the video but I've always been wondering about hand "code"signs that the soldier makes from 3:50 to 3:55. What does that mean ?

To me it sounds like : "2 men on a MG42, gotta throw grenades on them"

    So cool...

  • I am so looking forward to seeing the new series, "The Pacific" when it comes out. If it is even half as good as Band of Brothers was, I will be satisfied.

  • Any date set?

  • 2010

  • ye that thing Tom Hanks said at the end is one thing that really surprised me when i was watching the show for the 2nd time.

  • Major Winters is the greatest soldier of WW2. He lives up to the great American ideal that victory is everything. He never tolerates failure. He could have been the top General in the American army, but wanted to stay with his men. What a hero.

  • the greatest soldiers are forgotten soldiers

  • You mean he puts on a very convincing american accent "hides his accent", "without the accent" lol.

  • Wow Lewis hides his english accent very well in band of brothers.

  • So does the guy from "House" and the guy from "Still Standing" and the guy who played Erin's boss in "Erin Brockovitch" Always blows me away to find out someone is British when I'm use to them without the accent.

  • I just now found out that the guy is British. Wow, I was like, nooooo way ha ha I've watched Band of Brothers dozens of times and I would have never thought that "Lieutenant/Captain/Major Winters" is English.

  • Same, he does a good job playing an American.

  • tons of guys in BofB were British. I was surpirised at how many familiar faces I saw.

  • I was the same way when I first discovered that fact. 8)

  • I read the book "BAND OF BROTHERS". SAVING PRIVATE RYAN was actually inspired by a true story occured on a member in Easy company. But unlike SAVING P R, he went home straight after they told him that all of his other brothers were killed.

  • i think it was the story of Fritz Niland whose brothers were KIA, two on the Normandy landings and the other a pilot who was shot down on the China-Burma-India theater.

  • wow, good for you, man. Frankly i dont remember these details. Haha, the only thing i remember about this book now is that i used to read this book in chemistry classes because i was unwilling to pay attention to the boring teacher.

  • It was indeed inspired by the story of Fritz Niland, who was a friend of Skip Muck (they were from the same hometown).

  • Seriously, I have nothing but respect for these brave and heroic men :)

  • And women, think about all the field nurses that got burried in the rubble of the hospital they were working in to save the lifes of said men just because it got bombed.

  • Someday, I hope, a film of this stature will be made of the wars in Afghanistan and in Iraq when they are far behind us.

  • It will be hard. Combat has changed drastically.. There aren't all these explosions and stuff now. Its like they see heat signals on their infrared cameras and fire missiles at it that are 100% accurate.

  • Hehe. So accurate they can hit the exact centre of a big, red cross.

  • "All of the adults I knew grewing up" -Tom Hanks

Haha, i bet he was nervous

  • great video! great job!

  • Im not sure the name of it. but Rutger Hauer was in it. Yeah im sure i spelled the last name wrong bu i think you know what i mean

  • Its called Fatherland thanks for helping

  • Nice!,great vid.i love BoB :P thansk for posting too

  • Helps explain why it was such a special artistic achievement, this series. Excellent writing, unselfish and often stellar acting, top-notch production values, and a conscious awareness of what story they were telling and how they chose to tell it.

  • awesome vid, thx for posting.

  • never forget what dick and others like him went through so we could live the lives we have today

  • ::cuddles Damian:: He's made of awesome

  • OMG DAMIAN LEWIS!
