mac fails... the macbook air is 3 pounds and it has no cd drive, only 1 usb drive, and non upgradable

I purchased one with 160 Gb HD and 2 GB memory with optical drive. The screen is atrocious - with a very narrow viewing angles and lots of light leakage around the edges so the image is faded. You cannot watch a video on it - especially in dark conditions because of the uneven lighting. The keyboard is the nosiest I have ever heard and bends with each key stroke with a very poor feed back. It takes 5 mins to boot up and will not properly shut down and the battery lasts about 40 mins.

I think the weight ratio between user and computer is too big here, she has not to be afraid to wear 4 kilo notebook at her size, by slim girl ist that understandable that she can feel the difference

That's a terrible review. All she actually tells you is the price. I have this laptop and here is a better review.

CPU is slow, runs very, very hot, especially on the left side where the motherboard and HDD are. The battery life more like 4 hours than 12. Also not great for viewing from the right hand side of the screen.

HDD protection via motion sensor so don't worry about getting SSD. Has bluetooth and DVD drive silencer. Transflective screen means you can use it outside and save battery.

The solid 64 is better it has no moving parts so it will take more to bust it so well worth it

this girl forgot to emphasize that the Solid State Drive (SSD) also runs nearly twice as fast as a regular Hard Disk Drive (HDD). This means a significantly faster bootup, access time, and save time. Thats another important aspect of it--along with the drives resilliance and low battery consumption--and why its worth paying that much more for it.
