You have one of those fake anti virus warnings from a real program but it is a fake message so you will buy there software. If you run hijackthis and use the msconfig utility you can get rid of it. I made a video for both.

If you install avast and it comes up with a popup saying you have a virus, thats what it is supposed to do that means it is working.

Rootkit (Revealer) is a program that can reset your network settings if they have been corrupted by a virus. That's what I meant. LOL

it completed a scan and shows a list however the page is frozen and I can't close the browser. I can open other browsers and move freely, whats the deal? My first browser have been freezing.

The house call scan has been having a problem lately, First you have to make sure you are using Internet Explorer to run the scan and yoru cookies have to be turned on.

It is best if it is sticking on you to just run the scan with avast.

Trend Micro HouseCall does not show up on my browser page only the 1st page to enter scan and it never shows up its not pop up stopers ,but it mite be nortons. can nortons stop you useing diffrent antiviruses.

Norton internet security could be blocking you also you could be missing a JAVA plug in. try using internet explorer to run the scan. and shut down your security,

You need to install (highjackthis) its free. just google it to find the web site. Run the program and get the report and send it to me in an email. I'll tell you what to turn off and what to keep. Did you try running a boot time scan with avast?

Run the (boot time scan) in avast, that is the best way to get rid of a stubborn virus. Otherwise you need to run the (Highjackthis) program. send me the log file and I'll tell you what to remove.

Norton DOES stink .. in the past cpl weeks (while looking @ Utube & Myspace) i have had 2 "Virus High Risk" warnings saying i have a Trojan.Ducky.B and Downloader viruses (same 2 both times) but that Norton is "unable to remove"! Have u ever heard of these?? comp running fine .. i'm switchin' to Avast when subscription is up. and yea Trandmicro is great, i just started using it again after these incidents ...

Hey Desertshore, they are saying that your virus "Trojan.Ducky.B" is usually attached to a picture. I have heard a ton of complaints lately from people getting false MySpace pages coming up and then get hit with that Downloader virus activity when they click on the page. I've gotten them myself. Personally I haven't had any experience with nod32 so It wouldn't be fare for me to comment. But I have been recommending this one for 2 years now & it has performed very, very well. I added a link for a great anti-virus program called Avast in this video description.
