  • Wow man thanks you helped out allot :D

  • This is exactly what I needed. I play in drop b now but metalcore is still kinda tough for me. But this made it easier. Hope you don't mind if I write down some of your riffs so I can show my local teacher of what I want to learn. :)

  • COOL now i can play some BATMAN BEYOND and make a more DARKER BATMAN THEME

  • 4:48 Amon Amarth!

  • what is your opinion on The Dimarzio pickups in this guitar?

  • what guitar is he using

  • why would heavier stings mess with my trem?? :p

  • @Turdinator7 tension

  • @Turdinator7

Definitely, make sure you adjust it. I don't use trems, but I know if you get thicker gauge strings, you're gonna have to change the tension.

  • lol I dont think he likes Deathcore much...

  • I'm starting a support group for bassists who play with guitarists who use alternate tunings.

Nothing worse than turning up to a first practice and one of the guitarists is using some bizzare tuning that sounds great in his bedroom but no one else can play with him.

  • @spoddie Hey, Count me in.

  • i love the riff he plays in the beginning

  • is that the jim root sig strat

  • @atc1con no its not

  • @atc1con Thats a Charvel So Cal :)

  • @atc1con no its a charvel but looks similar to his fender

  • all you really need to do to a floyd rose is maybe add a spring, and adjust the tension, right?

  • @Dudelikes223 Yep... Thanks for checking it out.

  • Amazing

  • my parents did loved it...haha!

  • Drop B tuning kickass!!! ;)

  • Before I forget lol

  • this is the first video out of several that actually helped me and got me to do a pinch harmonic..... THANK YOU!!

  • Amon Amarth Much =D?

  • Lol that's wat I'm talking about

  • OMG, my request granted..

  • pretty neat ideas. thank you sir.

  • I LOVE THAT GUITAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Random guy: AUTHORIZED SERVICE!!! haha

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuu- my first string died when I was detunning it

  • @LuisOrtegaGuitar I think you need to use DDT strings for this tuning.. ahhah.. I'm not sure though.

  • @akosiCoco what are DDT strings c:

  • @LuisOrtegaGuitar heavier gauged strings.. DDT meaning (Drop Down Tuning strings)

  • @akosiCoco oh ok thanks :D

  • what kinda pickups are you using?

  • Yeah economy picking is the only term for that that i am familiar with.

  • @Brownstone522 then get off the video idiot.

  • heavy metal?? i think is nu metal...

  • Dave Nassie For President!!!

  • Or you could just learn how to set up a guitar yourself, and knowing the ins and outs of your intrument instead of paying money to get a freakin tech to do it for you.

  • speaking of basses, i would like you to do more of the bass stuff, i'm a bassist by heart but i can play guitar a little bit

  • or you could always buy a 7 string or a 6 string bass :P

  • AWESOME LESSON ! ! ! You should do more of these, all the fillintheblank-core players want lessons like this one, 'cause I don't really think there is a better guitar player than Dave in any metalcore band out there.

  • Dude that first riff sounds awesome! Very melodic sounding

  • 0:46 ...that's not available on youtu .... hahahaha

  • oh yess my parents will love it XDD

  • I currently have a set of 11's on my guitar. Is that good or is he using even thicker strings?

  • @AllOfUsLoveSpam Try 12 or 13, but watch for your truss rod.

  • @AllOfUsLoveSpam To be honest if your going to drop B I'd use 12's. they feel perfect for tensions and everything. But its about preference. 11's to me would be like Drop Db or Eb. Maybe drop C.

  • Awesome teacher,super informative video

  • This video was REALLY useful!

  • I tune my guitar to drop Bb so this video was very helpful thank you!

  • i love how ur just inproving and while your telling us what u just did u can keep adding new notes. as for my own sound i cant get the hang of on and off palm muting, also i cant seem to keep the sound going after the pinch harmonic, any tips?

  • @wearblackclothes Hmmm, is your guitar tone suitably heavy/distorted? i tend to find if my guitar tone isnt meaty enough, pinch harmonics are alot harder to keep going.

  • I fiddled with the lower tunings for some time but found out that standard sounds the best. That or half a step down

  • @HaistaPaska92 Eb is my fav! :)

  • @HaistaPaska92 depends on what you're playing.

  • @HaistaPaska92 I prefer a whole step,or drop C.High enough to play pop culture songs and still be comprehendable, but low enough to sound mean and get the point across ;) Anything lower than that and Im getting a 7 string haha

  • @HaistaPaska92

    or a step down :)

  • @HaistaPaska92 yeah its got more clear crunch to it. i love drop b or c standard for solos. makes it easy to use legato and whatnot lol. plus it always sounds great with classical scales

  • Damn this dude is an amazing teacher! Make him a permanent member of your instructors guys!

  • @coolumar335 sarcasm?

  • @coolumar335 I agree! YO!

  • I just use a 7 String for B Standard.

  • nice tattoo

  • ur guitar :O

    so pretty

    on an other not

    D standard /Drop C works best =)
