@rzepa04 Maybe Azers and armenians are decendents of the Iranian people but Georgians definatelly are not. Georgians were living in caucasus long before any Alanian tribes started to migrate here. Even the word Caucas comes from Svan dialect (it means the lightning). ProtoGeorgian tribes and civilisations are mentioned by Greeks and even by the bible 18 century BC. Do some decent researching dear. I have nothing against azers or Iranians or even Turks but Georgians are not Iranic people or Turik

Why do you think I despise everything Turkish? Quite honestly this whole arguments lead to nowhere I have already several times explain what I think and gave all the arguments to repeat myself is just to waste my time..

I do not despise Turkish culture I just do not ant to be associated with it because Georgian culture is Georgian..

But I understood your point that Azeri dances also have their stories behind it...

In addition, I think there is some similarity but not much between Azeri and Georgian dances, we have at least 8 completely different dances from different regions of Georgia each representing completely different stories which I have not seen in any other country of Caucasus.

I have seen many times some Turkish dancing groups trying to sell these dances as Turkish to their tourists which really upsets me and I hate when they do that, because they know it's not Turkish...

@rzepa04 Yes I know most Caucasian dances look alike but for me I find a huge difference in them since I've been dancing for all my childhood and adolescence and these all is not just nice music and leg movement but whole story behind every single move that girls or boys make, so I cannot compare it to anything..

@rzepa04 I did not even say anything of Azerbaijan the person asked if the dances were Turkish so i replied it has nothing to do with Turkey.. Well, I do not consider Azeris Turks... I am not really sure about the history of Azerbaijani ethnics but as far as I know I thin k you are the descents of Caucasian Albanians and Persians, but I did not even touch that subject in my post actually...

@rzepa04 I am really sorry I respect all cultures but I am not the Turkish race , neither are these dancers so I had to explain it.. Turkish dances are not anything similar to that... I've seen quite lot of folklore of many countries and Irish is far distinct from Georgian traditional dances.. neither music nore the dance moves or the cloths are the same, so it is really strange someone knowing Irish dances would confuse it.... I respect all but I would only like being called Georgian not turkis
