Being from the Tribal areas of Pak , I know very well that Afghanistan was at war for 10 years . Six major groups of Afghanistan were fighting with each other & with Russia. Pakistan was fedup with this war & made Taliban , who took Afghanistan and peace was established. Then the Pak army officers returned to Pak and left Afghanistan to them to rule.

Thus this depleted Pakistan territory will make them vulnerable to India. So in effect, the Taliban movement is really a political Pashtun movement not an Islamic movement as it appears on the surface. The true aims are really politically Pashtun in nature.
