That Winter I lived with Michael and his brother in Tweed Street at Kirra for a few months. Kirra was incredibly hollow and fast that day. We were having trouble just making the waves and he was doing cutbacks! We'd been surfing Snapper for a few days but as the swell dropped Michael dragged me out Kirra and we had two awesome surfs that morning!
I grew up on the goldy in the 70`s , and my mum used to take me to the stubbies contests , great old footage brought back some good memories.... nice work
@PeadophileBeard I did see him in his prime, he used to intimidate his oponents on land and in the water, you should read the MP book if you want to hear some of the radical stuff he used to get up to.. Nah i dont think he invented the cutback but he did some wicked ones on those old single fins..
