Sounds like the engine is bogging down under a very light load. Have you tried an electric motor?

@cyclops5276 Yes , It now has a 7.5hp electric on , it doesnt lack any power . It is still a better mill for feed or biomass pellets not wood .

i swear this would be just the right size to make biochar with so you wouldn't have to break it up and then throw some in a compost pile to make some really rich earth compost
