Some are even manipulating prices to take advantage of the fact that people are using Auctioneer and not paying a lot of attention to their purchases.

it's timing you gotta observe the ah for a few weeks check what the lowest prices are, when the prices are low buy when they go up again sell

It's about working out the cycle for your realm.

For example, infinite dust is regularly the most bought out item on any realm. This means, if it's typically sold for 3g/ea, and you b/o for 2g, there's your profit.

If you're putting them up for more than you bought them for, you're buying the wrong items. Look up Auctioneer guides, find out how to efficiently work out the items that have been listed for less than usual.

little gold tip, silk cloth = 30s to vendor that means 60s to a vendor for 2 stacks, if it's in AH for vendor price buy it, and make it into heavy bandages, you will make 10s per stack from selling to a vendor!

If there are a bunch of blue items on the AH, shouldn't you do more than just put what you have in the bank? Why don't you buy the other blues and post them at a green or higher blue price? Without flooding the AH with everything you have, of course; just put the extras in the bank.

It means that the server you are in is "market efficient"

According to the theory of market efficiency in finance, if many people find arbitrage opportunities (like in your server --> buy cheap sell high), no items become undervalued. (because everyone finds the undervalued items and sells it at its 'real' value)

This is the case in my server frostmourne... Everyone uses auctioneer, and because of this, everyone buys and finds the underpriced items and sells it later at a higher price...

I would like to also point out that if he is collecting say 1.5k g he mightn't be earning it as the auctions he buys also cost a certain amount so could you next time show the amount of profit out of the money collected if isn't too hard.

The problem with auction house is that EVERYBODY is doing the same thing . The buy low and sell high thing is so over saturated unless you camp the auction house you have zero chance to make any gold at least on the servers I play on .
