  • Mick Jagger is high as fuck in this interview

  • so wait theyre trying to be funny right? lmao

  • Love to say this - Mick you were just great in this and Nasty had it coming and he got got. Really you were excellent, superb and above all the funniest I've seen of you for a long time. Bring that Mick back.

  • absolutely gorgeous ...a sex bomb!!

  • I'd like to be two hairdressers

  • Mick Jagger's not from London, he's from Kent. They don't share the exact same accent.

  • @LillyCandyCane How far is Dartford fom London anyway?

  • @ffeda Far enough to be in the next country. Not that far I suppose. But still.

  • I'd like to own a squadron of tanks!

  • I love the part about the Rutles standing there sizing up the Stones as the opposition.

  • oh hell! this is hilarious!

  • i'll see your "rutles", and raise you "this is spinal tap"

  • "I'd like to be two hairdressers..." LMAO

  • What year was this clip filmed? I wanna say it looks like 1975, but I could be wrong.

  • @mollyz2000 When filmed I don't know, but first showed in 1978 ('All You Need Is Cash")

  • does mick jaggers son wear as much make up as dad

  • "They ran round the corner to the pub to write this song and came back with it and played it to us. And it was...... HORRIBLE. And so we never bothered to record it." LMAO

  • George participated in the Rutles "All You Need is Cash"- he enjoyed making funny spoofs

  • Is this a python skit or something?

  • @raseanguy Not Python, but Eric Idle of Monty Python did this after Python.

  • @raseanguy python off-shoot beates parody - look for Rutland Weekend television in Wiki which is what it deveolped frrom. it was a 70's TV series after python had stopped making TV and started doing films. Out of the show came ...The Rutles, if you want the movie it is from It is 'The Rutles-All You Need Is Cash". There is also a nice section in it with Paul Simon talking about how the rutles were a great influence on him, and how they were always THE BAND to listen to on headphones !

  • ahh, but despite his rebel stance on the Rutles, Mick did cut a song by Messrs. John & Paul and did quite well in the charts with it ... "I wanna be your man"

  • I read that McCartney hated it at first, but Linda and John loved it. Seems that it took Paul a while to develop a sense of humor about the mannerisms and speech patterns that Eric Idle parodied when "doing" Paul, lol.

  • @TheRealArtzilla That's because in real life, Paul McCartney is a first-rate asshole. He really is. Not a nice guy at all.

  • @stableshadow Ahh, I doubt that. What makes you say that, have you met him?

  • @TheRealArtzilla A very good friend of mine is part of a certain top band's entourage (don't want to say which one, but it's legend status). Anyway, he has met McCartney a few times and even has one of his bass guitars. I assumed he seemed like a decent enough guy so I said so, and this friend of mine says: No, total asshole, just rude and arrogant. Mick Jagger is, too. Whereas Ronnie Wood is super-nice, for example. And I like McCartney, so I was surprised. Also heard it from a music exec

  • "It was 'orrible..."

    Classic!

  • Of course, the song-writing industry wasn't really like that. I mean, the odd song was sold in a pub, in a brown paper envelope, but mostly they sold from their market stall. They called it 'Northern Snogs' because they sold 'Kiss me quick' hats and Beatle wigs as well as the songs.

  • @DavidMJordan This incident is based on the song "I wanna be your man", which Paul and John wrote in the studio as The Stones watched and then gave to them. Of course the Stones did record it, and released it as a single three weeks before the Beatles' own version came out.

  • "We didn't have the bullocks to record it" Classic.

  • @kolbpilot "and so we never bothered to record it."

  • @KellyGreen5555 Yeah, I guess it is. Damn Lodoners.

  • @kolbpilot Mick's got a bit of an accent here, but I believe he says "...and so, we never bothered to record it."

  • Totally LOLed at the end.

  • ..it was 'orrible.

  • wow a lot of stars...

  • the Stones gotta hang it up and go down as the greatest rock and roll band in the world

Ron Wood is a drunken creep who bangs young girls - they should get Mick Taylor if they do come back

  • @deepsussex Ronnie Wood is a nice guy and great guitarist whose behavior lately is sadly deplorable. They are all young women, however, not "girls." Mick Taylor is technically a better guitarist, but Ronnie blends better with Keith, and also looks the part.

  • @stableshadow

Ronnie's got a cute black girlfriend now. Hope he doesn't blow it.

  • Gimme Mick!!!

  • ROFL!!! Been a while since I've seen this - classic.

  • Mick Jagger is ugly as HELL! lol

  • @deadmimewalking Are you joking, right? He's sooo cute here! *-*

  • @deadmimewalking You must be joking. Jagger is gorgeous and sexy as hell!

  • Ah this is great...

  • LOL @ Eric Idle...

"We were tryin' to buy them for the Rolling Stones..."

"And of course the Rutles were always known for their songwriting ability."

  • omg hes sooooo cute lol i love mick jagger!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what mick said at the end about not recording the song is hilarious!!

  • @gibsongold1970 In reality the Beatles did give the Stones as song. The Stones liked the song so well they made it their next single. The true story is Mick and Keith asked Paul and John for a song. And they did bother to record it as their next single.

  • It was 'orrible.......LOL

  • Jagger is hilarious in this clip

  • "I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"

  • LOL

  • "i'd like to be a hairdresser... or two. I'd like to be two hairdressers." rofl XD

  • I'd like to be 2 hairdressers

  • This is so funny!!

  • rutles had HMPA. Hit Making Potential Ability

  • he is hot

  • Soo cute! Love you Mick!

  • Mick has a great sense of humor and is a smart business guy in the music industry. Mick helped navigate the Rolling Stones through decades of changing music trends and scenes.

  • Mick's a consumate showman.....& seemingly a nice guy...

  • yes he does seem like a very decent guy

  • One of my favorite songs of his, "Donkey Kong Woman" ...

  • LOL Stratman

  • Thanks!

Someone gave me a negative rating-I guess not everybody has a sense of humor!

  • That's definetely the one and only Mick, is so cute and Awesome!

  • i love Mick in this movie! he cracks me up... did he just improvise his dialogue, or was this scripted?

  • I think he was asked to remember the Beatles, but substitute the Rutles names in their place.

  • i'd like to be a hairdresser, or two, i'd like to be two hairdresser!

  • "I... ASKED... MICK JAGGER... WHEN HE FIRST BECAME AWARE OF... THE RUTLES" is that john oliver?

  • The guy who played Mick did a swell job ;)

  • I think it's the real Jagger :)

  • Even Mick Jagger can't be the real Mick Jagger ;)

  • Mick Jagger is the only one! So this is him. :P

  • youtube

    "bill wyman being mick"

    pretty funny

  • haha XD

  • Only Mccartney didn't quite like The Rutles movie. Surprisingly, they didn't make him out to look like a twat and they could have. Each Beatle gets a knock in it, especially Lennon who thought it was a hoot! And they made Yoko into a Nazi in the film, which wasn't too far off the mark!

  • The hair. The eyes. The accent. Those LIPS! Love me some Mick.

  • i'd like to be a hairdresser, or two. hahaha my favourite quote!

  • too funny, mick gives an actual account on everything, he just substitutes the rutles for the beatles, lol!

  • hit

    making

    potential

    ability

    XD

  • what the heck? they used the real mick jagger. lol.

  • ha ha ha! good one.

  • hey jagger marijuana eyes

  • Jagger is so funny & divine here.

  • He's rather gorgeous.

  • Leggy Mountbatten...could'nt raise any friends on the phone, so he accepted a teaching post in Australia.

  • They don't really look too much like them, but Dirk acts EXACTLY like young Paul, I think.

  • I agree. He does an amazing job.

  • ERIC !

  • people always think 'dirk was just the pop guy, and nasty was the real rocker'. but really they were equally great at both. except for dirk.

  • Didn't Dirk and Nasty write "I Wanna Be Your Man" for the Stones? Or am I mixing them up with two other blokes?

  • Maybe someday they'll do another "mockumentary" and give the Stones the treatment.

They could be The Gathering Moss.

    With such "hits" as:

    "Let's Shag Your Wife Together"

    "As Beers Go Bye Bye"

    "Deep Knee Squat Flash"

    "Let It Scab"

    "Sympathy for the Lawyer"

and "You Can't Always Get Rid of What You Dont Want"

  • He He,good idea stratman123,dont forget those other smash hits:

    "Midnight Knee Trembler"

"She,s a NoBrain" and Paint Yer Back"

  • I forgot "Gimmie Tax Shelter"!

  • what about "dirty wednesdays?"

  • You are killing me! Do you do children's parties? lol

  • @stratman123 or the hits

    "Get off of my Clown"

    "She's like a Raincoat"

    "Beers or Burboun"

    "Mother's Little Hell Hole"

  • @stratman123 Hee hee & And what about "She was Old"

"19th Nervous Toilet Stop" & "Start Me (Heart) Up"

  • The Rutles look nuthin like the Beatles, but the Jagger impersonation is good

  • nothing beats the original. :]

  • Mick has some comfy pillows there.

  • the stones did some great songs in 1968

  • He still is kinda pissy that one of the Stone's first good songs was written by the Beatles. though I'm a Rutles (err Beatles) fan, I must admit the 'Stones made a better version of the song...

  • id like to be 2 hair dressers

  • "...and it was 'orrible."

Probably one of my favorite lines in the whole film.

  • i thought that was hilarious.

  • leggy got a round a bit ;)

  • wouldn't we all like a squadrant of tanks

  • That guy with the name "Jagger" looks like an ugly girl.

  • "i'd like to be two hairdressers." hahahaha

  • Hehe...he's kinda pissy that one of the Stone's first good songs was written by the Beatles.

  • Actually it was a shitty song - Stones blues covers much cooler.

  • I agree.

Personally, I prefer their blues stuff.

  • I'm not sure about the jesus part but Mick is great!!!!!!!

  • "i'd like to own a squadron of tanks."

  • Yes, that is the man!

  • Is this for real. Is that really Jagger?

  • Yeh!

  • haha..Jesus loves Mick Jagger
