@raseanguy python off-shoot beates parody - look for Rutland Weekend television in Wiki which is what it deveolped frrom. it was a 70's TV series after python had stopped making TV and started doing films. Out of the show came ...The Rutles, if you want the movie it is from It is 'The Rutles-All You Need Is Cash". There is also a nice section in it with Paul Simon talking about how the rutles were a great influence on him, and how they were always THE BAND to listen to on headphones !

@gibsongold1970 In reality the Beatles did give the Stones as song. The Stones liked the song so well they made it their next single. The true story is Mick and Keith asked Paul and John for a song. And they did bother to record it as their next single.

Only Mccartney didn't quite like The Rutles movie. Surprisingly, they didn't make him out to look like a twat and they could have. Each Beatle gets a knock in it, especially Lennon who thought it was a hoot! And they made Yoko into a Nazi in the film, which wasn't too far off the mark!
