  • What amazes me is that the Great Depression was caused by Keynesian policies. They dumped cash into the market, did everything they could to destroy it.

Also, we're not at the bottom of a cycle, we heading toward the end.

Another thing. There WAS NO CLINTON SURPLUS!!!!!!! IT NEVER EXISTED. IT WAS CLINTON COOKING THE BOOKS. IF HE HAD BEEN IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR, HE'D BE WITH THE ENRON PEOPLE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the biggest morons I've ever heard. He knows nothing about history or economics. What amazes me is that money that comes from the government does not stimulate the freaking economy. Only a Keynesian (moron) would believe that.

And Rep. Alan Grayson looks like he should be in the circus, playing a clown. He sure sounds like one.

  • I think this guy looks a bit light in the loafer. and the idiot interviewer, hummm I wonder where he stands.... These people are in a circle jerk and grayson is the pivot man

  • lol, two kooks, one has 33 viewers on msdnc and the other one just got booted out of office

  • Mr. Ed understands how to take advantage of a crisis such as the gulf oil spill, once again the professional media bias spin master insisted the oil spill will head all the way down the east coast into the Chesapeake Bay, all in an attempt to destroy corporate America. Democrats are not able to find the oil once the leak was filled. Mr. Schultz cannot understand what Rush Limbaugh was saying during the entire spill.

America must wake; democrats are all about socialism, well fare for losers!

  • Glenn Becks ratings exploded!

Liberals seriously out of touch with America, left wing media being taken to school as America confirms they will no longer accept their bias spin garbage.

Many unhappy empty bag holders simply in disbelief as their bank accounts get cleaned out daily trying to survive the Obama economy recovering from Democrat subprime lending policies, every American should enjoy home ownership.

Angry liberals simply cannot believe the messiah failed to deliver!

  • Ed was hired by the left media to manipulate, nothing more than a one hour bias spin show. You must admit, foolish take out your cell phones, tell me what you think segment is nothing more than the remaining empty bag holders.

Ed Shultz once republican until he met his democrat wife a nurse, Ed flip flops from republican to democrat, talk about an ASS kisser. Republicans would not have anything to do with this racist hate master of spin.

I believe this show is going to collapse.

  • Hey Grayson, you go under the health care you are shoving to us

  • Keynesian Economics is flawed economics. Those who advocate it are only doomed. Phuck both republicans and democrats. They are put there to divide and rule.

  • Too bad hes not taken to task about his 20% unemployment claim if not for the stimulus and cant even point out one job. You guys get so snowed and dont even care?? Watch: Rep. Alan Grayson: Republican Policies Will Cause a Second Great Depression

  • More interestingly is this flaw: in good years we save, so that we spend in bad years, because it's a bottom of a business cycle.

No. In bad years you need to cut waste and gov't spending so that you actually free up economic capacity and save so that you can rebuild the good years.

Who was saving in the good years? Between government pork programs, wars and all the entitlements, who in government was seriously spending?

This is disingenuous to say they were saving in good years.

  • The maybe a successful businessman, it doesn't make him a useful economist. Relying on Keynes? That's just terrible. What good is a government ran debt system? What good is government demand if the supply is funded by the same people (Chinese/Germans/Japanese...) who also provide the actual goods. Retarded.

  • No one here has pointed out that the Republicans know they are are lightning Rods for hate, so what are they doing? They are selling out the American people by denying them a Govt in order to "Apply" for a job with Big Business. Watch When The NEOCONS get out of office they will be working in high paying Jobs with Big business because of their Loyalty. Once again repealing the 17th Amendment and denying Lobbying Jobs to Public officials for 10 years after their term is the only Way to fix this.

  • Cantor Clueless or a fraud. I think he is both.

  • Keynesian economics in the face of collapsed demand calls for deficit spending on jobs and education. How is that discredited? Where do you expect the money to come from? We're broke, we can't afford anything, that's why the economy is in the shitter. no ones buying.

  • republicans are now bitching that the deficit is too high to do that. it's a perfect fucking circle. we need to ask our selves do we really want a lost decade? LET THE TAX CUTS EXPIRE, END THE WARS And vote democratic so that congress won't be GRIDLOCKED away from being able to sustain demand and once the deficit is lower let's invest in the economy.

  • aggergate demand collapsed. businesses won't invest in the economy by hiring new workers because they can't expect to sell products by simply expanding business and because of that demand stays low because everyones broke currently and no one can afford to buy shit. The ONLY party that get us out of this mess is the government by investing in jobs but because the deficit was driven up in a conspiracy to kill social security and starve the beast brought on by republicans.

  • Economic buffoons. Grayson is a statist, just like the Republicans he criticizes. There is no difference save for the constituent bases they support, which is hardly a difference at all. And Grayson quotes the long discredited Keynes about economic matters? Great, for science he must turn to alchemy too. Buffoon on the left, no different than the buffoons on the right. All are statists.

  • @razerfish You mean the same Keynes who was the architect of three decades of capitalist prosperity 1945-1975 before the monetarist quacks arrived? That guy? Yeah, America could never have afforded to go to the moon if they'd done what nutty old Keynes said.

  • @razerfish Well said. He wants the freaking govt to take care of everything including demand. He lost me.

  • the stimulus has slowed the bleeding, but it's also only reinflating the debt bubble. We're lost until we can fix the trade deficit.

  • Get em Gray. He be going hard on these issues

  • No,they wasted the stimulus.

Republicans forced clinton to balance the budget.

  • plan to dismantle the American government is the republican plan to

    1) give home loans away like candy

    2) derivatives to hide this no-qualifying loan biz

    3) blame the dems and try to sell less government as the solution.

-----Conservatives got bupkiss for ideas for doing a better job than Obama.

  • @jerrydoubleu

How does the Democrat plan differ exactly?

  • @TheMetalPerson Well for one thing fucker - they won't lie about WMD's and kill 5000 americans or apolygize to a foreign oil company because they got their ocean in their oil. Dumb fuck

  • @justonefirefly1

    watch?v=FCVZlLBchVE

  • @TheMetalPerson : I agree with Jay Leno's FAMOUS Quote on Health Care Reform:

~"If RepubliCONs DON'T like the COST of Health Care Reform, why don't they pretend the money is going toward ANOTHER unsubstantiated war....that should make them ALL happy!"

MOST RepubliCONs LOVE this FAMOUS Hypocritical RepubliCON Quote of the 21st Century:

~We should invade countries, KILL their leaders & convert them to chrsitianity!" ~Bulimic Drag-Queen Man Coulter

  • @justonefirefly1

Also, you realize that grayson's youtube rep deletes profane posts right? You really ought to act a bit more mature if you intend to have people take you seriously.

  • @TheMetalPerson Good - I don't care so I will say it again the Democrats never lied about WMDs and Bin Laden being in Iraq - They didn't kill 5000 brave Americans, Declare war on a country that did not attack us, or apologize to a foreign oil company, or saddle american tax payers with $1,017,318,607,256 for a war we didn't want. and the dems didn't take off regulations or in other words laws to stop us from getting raped by wallstreet and gambling banks.

  • Democrats 1 year ago: "Unemployment will be capped at 8%"

Democrats now: "Unemployment would be 20% instead of 10%"

    right.

  • The problem with waiting for the economy to improve before saving is that the economy is considered "unhealthy" when people save too much.

Logically this means that the act of saving after the economy gets better will cause the economy to slump again and thus the government will insist on spending for us again. This is a never ending process.

If having a good economy is related to low savings, the government will be in stimulus 100% of the time.

Rest assured we'll always have negative saving

  • ~Rep Alan Grayson ROCKS!

~Besides stupidity, the ONLY 2 other things moron Tea-Baggers have to show for themselves today are "Misspelled Signs & Severe Sore Chins."

GOP GOAL: Continue to be IRRELEVANT in National Govt by having NO National Leadership (except for Nitt-Witt Romney & Single-Digit IQ Scarah Phalin).

~FUX Snooze, Uneducated Sean Hannity & Cry-on-Cue Wet Brain Glenn Beck ONLY have a 20% following! Can you imagine the average IQ & education level of their Dumb-Shit following? (lmao)

  • @mavrek47

If you liked the health care reform, you should love Romney. After all, Romney care was the pilot for the health care bill.

Progressive democrats make irrelevant points, contradict themselves on a regular basis, and complain about spelling and grammar as they proceed to misspell things and use horrible grammar themselves.

They also insist the republicans are greedy, selfish, and racist while simultaneously insisting that certain opposing groups have their rights removed.

  • @TheMetalPerson Unlike you - propoganding lying factless whore

  • @justonefirefly1

The only thing you're accomplishing with your absurd posts is to discredit the Democratic party.

  • It was better to take the money out of our pockets and give the money to the banks than to let us keep the money we earned - not. Yeah, the government creates my demand to buy a GTR - not

  • Two self-important dick-heads.

  • @Meatpieandtatters = meatpie = one dumbass troll

  • @Meatpieandtatters & they are rubbing heads. lol

  • @wingnut4427

It's not gay unless the balls touch.

  • @TheMetalPerson OHHHHHH !!! but what if one ball touches but the other pulls away ? 0_o lol

  • you all just don't get it do ya they work for us not the other way around but the way every carrier politician like grayson even with his good ideas are in it for the money they don't give a shit about us

  • Every objective economic indicator performs better under Democratic presidents than under Republican presidents.EVERY ONE. GDP growth, stock returns, job creation, budget deficits, and on and on.

When you look at the empirical data, only one conclusion is possible. Republicans are bad for the economy.

  • @Richardgwm

Since when did GDP growth (measured in inflating dollars) and stock returns constitute a strong economy?

GDP growth doesn't really mean increased productivity, it means increased spending, and stock returns are just wall street windfall profits.

Both democrats and republicans seem to be great at sweeping dust under the rug.

As for unemployment, it was during clinton's administration that the way we calculated unemployment was changed to exclude part timers and discouraged worker

  • @TheMetalPerson We see you don't know much about economics. . . or reality for that matter. There is not a single objective economic indicator that performs better under Republican presidents. NOT ONE.

Real GDP (that is GDP adjusted for inflation) performs better under Democratic presidents. Job creation by any measure (nominal, as a percentage of labor force, per capita) performs better under Democrats. And so on.

Reality is indifferent to your unwillingness to accept it.

  • @ MarmaladelNFP : Reagan was first most the best president since J.F. Kennedy.

second when he was elected he put forth the best budgets in the history of our nation in saying that the president has to convince congress to pass his budget to get it going forward and every time he gave congress his budget they just sat it aside and said your not spending enough so don't blame Reagan on that you stupid moron

  • @scaryterry24 If you allow me to, I will blame Reagan for dropping the average wage levels of america from #1 to #12 in the world and creating an enormous national debt.

  • @scaryterry24 reagan was a senile puppet head for the power brokers. the idiot was an actor, not a leader and not good at either.

  • governments can't create jobs. they can only rob the people and distribute wealth.

  • Well if you follow supply-side economics that bush was enactings by removing regulations, one can assume that the market would benefit from a stimulus, and the near failing companies would get "bad business rep" and their investers would fire management and really clean the place up after they see the huge bailout. But unfortunately the market it just a bunch of people using their economic might to bully others, some democracts need to be a little socialist and restructure things.

  • well, what do you know: as elections grows near, truth and integrity are replaced with party-politic rhetoric. /unsubscribe

  • Reagan was elected president by preaching fiscal conservatism during a period of immense surplus. What did Reagan do once in office? He spent all the surplus creating the biggest deficit in US history at that point. He spent more money on the military than the Pentagon requested. Reagan intentionally created a massive deficit because it was an easy way to implement his social conservative vision of decreasing govt spending on social services. Fuck the neocons. Give me some Keynesian economics.

  • @MarmaladeINFP Don't forget creating a recession on purpose by passing tax cuts and raising interest rates in 1981 -83!

  • @girardbcp The strategy is called "Starving the Beast". Republicans cut taxes and increase spending. An economic crisis is intentionally created within the govt in hope of making it easier for Republicans to implement their policies. Of course, it creates long term problems, but in the short term it's a quick way of swindling power. Neocons understand that the only time their policies don't seem crazy to the public is during a crisis and so they do their best to create crises.

  • @MarmaladeINFP YOU ARE AS BIG OF A SHIT HEAD AS GRAYSON IS. YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT REAGAN. YOU TALK ABOUT ECONOMICS WHEN THAT BLACK ASS PRESIDSENT GET THROUGH WITH YOU BUNCH OF LIB DEM-0-CATS YOU WILL BE READY TO GET YOUR SORRY ASS OUT OF THIS COUNTRY.

  • @MarmaladeINFP (THIS LINK IS FOR ALL OF THE REPUBLICAN SUPPORTERS THAT SAY "ALL DEMOCRATS DO IS SPEND WHEN THEY GET IN THE WHITE HOUSE!"), or are just blatant racists like TITAN123b, its 2010 YA HICK BASTARD WAKE UP! BY THE WAY HE'S HALF WHITE!

  • @alldariches lafn.org/gvdc/Natl_Debt_Chart.html

  • @alldariches Thanks for the link. I'm familiar with the data, but the chart shows it very clearly. Of course, when I mention that data, most conservatives will try to rationalize it away.

  • @MarmaladeINFP

Reagan ran on the Voodoo Economics ticket. And won on that. He also merged an unholy alliance with the religious Right. We see he result today...

  • Grayason! What about your infamous "Where did the money go" inquiry with crooked ass Bernanke? You are obviously have been bought out by Bilderberg and for the NWO! FU and just know that you ath is going to be voted out of yoru over paid elected office!! I used to like and agree with you in regards to certain things that you spoke about, but not anymore.

  • @slhines7 absolutely. You echoed my feelings.

  • @naveclipsys Glad to hear:)

  • haha look at these 2 douche bags

  • Keynesian economics is bullshit. The government can't raise supply to meet global demand no matter how much they spend. The government is a cost sector, not a profit sector.

The only thing the government can do is force savvy savers who are trying to protect themselves during hard times into buying things that they don't see as worthwhile investments. (notice the quality of things these days?). This may lower unemployment, but does it by lowering efficiency, thus lowering productive output.

  • @TheMetalPerson Its not supposed to. Think of it as a charcoal grill. And we have unlit coals. Stimulus is the lighter fluid that gets it going, once its going you put the lighter fluid away and leave it alone.

  • @slackerdc

The problem with this is that the times when people are "saving too much", it's because they don't see any worthwhile markets worth investing in.

In this case, a recession is what is needed to correct the course of bad investments so that businesses can restructure and provide the level of services people actually want to spend their money on.

  • cont.

Most people don't want to buy a car right now because they're crappy and way too expensive. Something needs to give in terms of price or quality.

It's when people stop buying all the stupid overpriced crap with little or no value that the economy can really correct itself.

The government shouldn't be propping up failed businesses. A recession will cause the bad businesses to fail while their jobs are replaced by new more useful jobs that people have a demand for.

  • @TheMetalPerson

Good points but one of the reasons we got into this mess to begin with is lack of regulation...just like the BP oil spill, lack of regulation. When you give the free market absolutely free reign bad practices will ensue, it's just common sense.

We don't need to put a chain around the neck of businesses, we just need to make sure they aren't doing things that are going to end up hurting your average consumer again.

  • @refuckulate420 Are you high? It was because of over regulation that BP had to drill in deep water, instead of the safer shallow water. Also, BP's plan was approved by government REGULATORS!!! Go do some more 420. It doesn't matter now. Your brain is fried.

  • @fanadfilms

That's not accurate at all. You must be getting your information from Fox.

Nice insults though, sticks and stones.

  • @refuckulate420 Do all you Democrats get your lines from the same playbook? There's nothing original in your rhetoric. I read. I research. The only thing I watch on Fox is Stossel and Napolitano. I read their books too. I also read books by Thomas E. Woods, Jr., an economist. I also read books by Thomas DiLorenzo, also an economist. You've heard of reading, haven't you? It would be nice if you guys all studied the Austrian School. Do you know what that is? Try again. Observation, not insult.

  • @fanadfilms

An insulting observation. You know you meant to be condescending. You claim to be intelligent yet you don't show it.

  • @refuckulate420 Oh, I bruise. To me, anyone using any mind-altering chemical on a consistent basis for recreation deserves to be mocked. I have experimented with them and found them to be nothing but stupid, so, yes, I intended to be condescending. However, the arguments are sound. Twentieth Century Democrats caused the Depression of 1920 and the Great Depression, and they are at least 70 to 80% responsible for the crisis now.

  • @fanadfilms

Oh did I mention, I couldn't care less what you think about marijuana? Good now that we have that settled.

Partisan hacks like you are intellectualy dishonest. Spare me your "dem vs rep" sheepish mindet. There were multiple things that contributed to the great depression, and the recession we are seeing now. There are very few politicians who can trusted these days. Corporations swamp politics with money more and more now, and people become less important.

  • @refuckulate420 Partisan hacks? LOL That's rich. I'd love to discuss things with you logically, but that just went out the window. Government caused the Great Depression, plain and simple. If you did our research, which 99% of Dems don't, you'd know that.

I could suggest some books to read. Question is, would you read them? It's damn near impossible to get Democrats to do research.

  • @fanadfilms

    "Partisan hacks? LOL That's rich."

Isn't it? It's quite appropriate. Apparently you don't get it. I'm not a democrat, I'm not a republican. Sorry your partisan sheep mind can't get past this simple fact. Sorry you only see things in black/white and aren't capable of distinguishing anything in between. I've probably read more books in 1 year then you will read in a lifetime. I love reading, and condescing keyboard warriors like you are always amusing.

  • @refuckulate420 And smoking weed addles your brain. No way to equivocate your way out of that.

  • @fanadfilms

"And smoking weed addles your brain"

"Addles" your brain hmmm? Despite evidence to the contrary?

Carl Sagan used marijuana recreationally, his brain wasn't addled, quite clearly. There are millions of successful people who use it and lead good, decent lives. So please spare me your intolerance and ignorance. I'd say come down off your high horse, but you might break your legs.

  • @refuckulate420 I've studied the pathology of THC and regardless of individual anecdotal accounts, the science is clear; prolonged usage will diminish the overall effectiveness of cognitive abilities. That being said, I am an anti-prohibitionist.

It's odd. You claim to be a Republican, but you sling invective and vitriol like a Democrat.

  • @fanadfilms

    That's nice, dear.

  • @refuckulate420 Pithy

  • @TheMetalPerson

Of course many Americans just need to stop living beyond their means as well...and stop voting the same crooks into office. People like to vote based more on emotion rather then rationality and logic.

  • Classic Keynesian economics, save the surplus during the good years.

  • Keynesianism at its best. Textbook response from Grayson on demand stimulus. Sell your treasuries guys, this bubble will burst with people like him still in office and with Obama leading the pack.

  • Lean a little about economics.

  • Go Keynesian economics!

  • "We were seven years away from paying off the National Debt" *sigh*

  • Both the democrats and republicans are corrupt! Each is beholding to their special interests!

Rep. Grayson's comments are laughable. We are heading for an economic cliff!

  • @trime1851 Hey bag ass what is so laughable? you are a piece of shit - factless and stupid so troll your bullshit up a creek with BP and the rest of your shit bags

  • @trime1851 Yes it does - you = no facts just bullshit

firefly = terminator to lying bullshitting trolls.

    Made my day/

  • @justonefirefly1 Please re-read my previous response.

  • @trime1851 Duh - you have any facts yet? No because that might require an ability to logically think and to discern fact from fiction - you fox watching troll. Don't forget to include your racist comments as proposed by fox the "news" for idiots and followers. Hey what cult do you belong to? The church of beck and hannity insanity?

  • @justonefirefly1 Do you own a mirror? You are a troll. What kind of fool thinks that anyone who does not agree with them is not only wrong, but bad, illiterate, and not worth considering. You, that's who. And, you should be ashamed.

  • @trime1851 I hear ya brother

  • How do you plan to pay for 1.6 trillion? An infant knows 1.6 trillion instant stimulus = short term growth

Where in the constitution does it say gov't shall match supply and demand?

What defines the economy more than "when things are better"? It can't be any more GREY than telling people to start saving when things get better!!!

Of course, your staffers only upload vids and you never rebuttal . . . keep eating the blue pill. . . I liked you more in "The World According to Monsanto"

  • @OurBraveNewWorld you are stupid stupid stupid shove your fox news fiction up your ass - fuck you how's that you piece of moronic shit - load up your own you tube so we can thumbs down you idiot.

  • @justonefirefly1

    Twerp.

  • @justonefirefly1 oh come on you can do better than that . . .lay it on me!!

  • @OurBraveNewWorld

Lol. Stupid stupid stupid!! You stupid stupid head!! Stupidity must be stupid in your stupid!! You can blah blah blah *snore*

  • @OurBraveNewWorld

You better not try to get at justonefirefly1's goat because his goat is a billy goat gruff!

  • The bailouts and stimulus saved the banks thats it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL, even O'Reilly thinks these nuts are in their own Glenn Beck zone.... lol

  • @MegashadX I caught that too. A division in faux news gop propaganda? Hilarious!

  • remember this one? the Reckoning:

"Agency's 2004 Rule Let Banks Pile Up New Debt" By Stephen Labaton/the new york times.com

that lady must have, a very short memory...
