Shadow Priest WoW 3.3.2 Rotation

OK, I'm gonna ask a total n00b question here, and I don't care. ^_^

But I've watched several shadow dps vids, and why is Holy Fire not desirable for anyone's rotation?

Maybe my Shadow Priest is just not high enough lvl yet, but I've always found my HF to do the most initial damage, plus it has a bit of dot as it burns afterwards.

Please enlighten me why hf is bad. Thanx

@DTiberius Because (I think) Holy Fire will make you leave Shadowform, meaning you have to go in and out of Shadowform in battle, which isnt really helpfull. :/

if that "now @ icc 25 hc i have 14k+ :P" means your pulling 14k+ dps freakking finally! i always see high gearscore spriests doing like 5k dps on heroic dumbies and stuff and it pisses me of. and if that quote had nothing to do with your dps i just made myself look like an ass. :)

i'll have to try out the mind flay and shadow word pain in the spots you had them. makes since to get your shadow weaving up before you bring the pain. server down so i was skipping around the net.

Shadowform locks out the holy tree so it's just reinforcing Shadow magic, not to mention offering a bunch of benefits.

its cooler to see your armor instead of only some shadow

i know its a SHADOWpriest

but a fire mage also isnt a flame

and an frost mage isnt an ice-cube

@gvdlol123 Do fire mages and frost mages have to have a form that does bonus damage? Nope.

Shadow priests have shadowform to boost their dps. I suppose it would take place of one of your special lvl 30 talents.

@ThespianGoneWild Lol if you knew anything you would know that mages dont need a form to dps in becuz they are a pure dps class priest need the shadow form becuz they are a hybrid class.

@FrexZzify best procs for it are druids it seems. mages do well. idk why spriests dont get the Val'kyr as much. i did post a triple proc at once on thottbot though. i was in VoA. happens very little. two on occation but 3 is pretty rare.
