Relying on one book to teach you about life and how you should behave is leaving your life in the hands of others and believe me - they don't always want the best for you. And I am not talking about a particular religion here. Most of them are used to manipulate and control. Wanting to help others is a very nice thing, I just don't like the reasons that you have for it.

I don't think that people should do something good just because the creator demands it, or because it would please him. Also deeds are more than just good or bad. You should do something "good" if you truly love and care for your fellow human beings. Choosing religion is always the easy way out when you are confused and don't know what to do. You said you want the truth - I believe that the truth is not universal. Everyone should find their own answers trough experience.

If I hadn’t set my goals already, I’d have already atleast tried to give u more hope than expected.
