I had this on VCR taped the whole thing off TV when it was on... have since lost tape....... does anyone know where i can get full recording of it? Shit i'll even pay!
@adelelles Douchebag, I don't know which is worse: The fact that you can't accept the fact that someone great unfortunately killed himself or that you're discussing a 17 year old case! This isn't a forum for you to discuss your theories that I'm sure you and your horrible, rotten childish friends came up with in your dingy basement. Either enjoy the music or gtfo this page. You may say that Courtney is a whore and a murderer, but you're just some insane wildeyed conspiracy theorist.
In 1994 I bought Hole´s Live through this. I was 18 years old and I hadn´t heard anything like it. I was in chock. That changed my life and the music helped me survive high school. One of the best records ever made.
I'm going to do something about this when I grow up. I'm going to salvage music like this. I'm going to make music that will at least attempt at my best to re-kindle amazing stuff like this. I have to. I'm going to put the emotion and art back into the music. And while all the other 14 year old kiddies are dubsteping everything I'll be trying to put the pieces back together... I hope so, anyway.
@ear2oear Everyone at my school either listens to shitty pop or crappy whiny little modern "emo" bands like Paramore and MCR. I listen to Foo Fighters, Hole, Nirvana, Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, and a buttload of other stuff. I don't see why they don't, listen to it, too, but be glad that they didn't ruin it on you and make it a trend.
although it may have been made when he was alive it just has those dark feelings to it about everything that happened when its played live. strange but thats the vibe i get from it anyways!
i think this song is about everything she was feeling/going through right after kurts death because you can hear it in her voice when she sings it live.
I loved Hole on MTV's unplugged , They were more focused on thier songs , and Courtney gave it her all , not saying that their other live versions are bad or anything
Hole's so underrated,it makes me sick.Shes overshadowed by kurt (huge nirvana fan) and shes overshadowed by her media reputation where people forget that she really is a music genius. Its sad.
Lucky Kid, all I've seen is the Cranberries "very best of unplugged" there's two Cd's and and one song each from the Cranberries. It seems like they didn't print a lot of performance onto CD, I can only name a few, that I actually have a licensed copy of. I'm surprised this never went on disc either. Yes the Doors were artistic, little can be said now about our boob flashing music.
I sometimes wonder why they picked only some bands but not others!! I love Hole!! Instead of Katy Perry why no The Cranberries? Muse? Metric? Garbage? That would be awesome!!! Music nowadays is soo Fake/Sex obsessed.
@funtopia1210 yea they usualy just do grunge back in the ninety's like they did alice in chains, nirvana, and hole. i know those for sure. i think smashing pumpkins too
Everything about her becomes ELECTRIC when she screams. It's like ball of feminine fury lashing out to her desire and ionizing the very air around her that creates an aura of absolute ECSTASY. She builds *dreams* when she screams !
this has got to be one of the best songs from my teenage years. i owe a lot to Hole, Nirvana, L7, and Silverchair, and Soul Asylum, they got me through some tough times
She was always changing lyrics around in songs. She would switch things around and change lyrics all together. Like in Old Age, the original lyric was "Old Forgotten Concubine" but I heard her use "Old Forgotten Rape Of Mine" live several times.
i fucking love this song! it is almost impossible to find hole mtv unplugged anymore. i used to dance around my living room to this song...all pinpoint-pupil'd and shit.
Have you got full set shotterslife?! Post it! Post It! I dont think this unplugged session got enough credit when it was first on mtv, hence no dvd's, cd's etc..do it for the hole fans shotter! ;)
i remember watching this when it first came out on Mtv in the 90's when i was ah teen. i was'nt allowed 2 listen 2 rock or rape, so i treid 2 record it (vhs). i only got half of it. ever since then that song echo'd in my head (WHY DONT U BURN!!) and now finally reunited on utube...GOTTA LUV da NET!
I dont like Courtney Love. . .But that doesnt mean I going to stop myself from enjoying music or song that i like. Cause if cared about the personal lives of the artist, i wouldnt have many musical interest or i may aswell not listen to music what so ever.
yeah thats what I want to do I'm doing some vocal training to try and get on pitch and lose that girlish tone I have, and I want to be able to play so I can do rhythm like Courtney does.
This is my favorite Hole song. I saw Hole in concert four times in college. It was always a wild ride. I don't think there ever released this as an American album-- "Hole Unplugged." I got a copy from Italy years ago though. Still plays. LOVE IT.
