  • Rolling on the floor, laffing both my bollocks off !!!!

How many more of these megalomaniac pseudo-scientists will be coming forth ??

    LOL!!!

  • It must be true, I am Swedish...

  • Comment removed

  • go and see in dublin ,, im going on tuesday ..

  • hey guys, this is NOT A FRAUD, i saw it on TV, so it must be true

  • I would love this to be real. Heck! wouldn't we all, but i will remain dubious about it until it is actually verified as working. This Sean is putting his face and name to it, i mean that's quite something considering what it would mean to his reputation if he was ripping us off. Very interesting.

  • FRAUD....denying thermodynamic principles?! he's either a shrewd businessman or a total fool

  • Be wary of this guys channel. If you disagree with him on free energy he will try to convince people you are a bot. If i was as much of a douche as him I would suggest he was paid by these companies to prop up these scams like he is trying to suggest about me.

  • If he cant scientifically prove it, it isn't true.

  • science can only prove what it already knows, so by your means everything new that challenges science to come is invalid? no your a limited fool

  • Well, he says it defies current laws. We have a current clash in physics laws, where gravity can't be explained by one set of rules.

Is this some sort of gravity-magnetic energy harnesser? That'd be sweet

  • String theory explains gravity...

  • work of Nikola Tesla

  • It does work, just oil companys and government dont want it to get out. Money and tax revenue from per gallon sales of oil and gas matters to them. .60 per gallon in tax of gas multiplied by 67 millions cars in the united states buy gas every day is alot of money. 67 million cars buy just one gallon of gas in one day is over 40 million in tax revenue for the government. Thats why they done want it loose.

  • people need to stop walking around and claiming to somehow know that the oil companies all have secret agendas of killing off anyone making different kinds of fuelsources. x.x like they're some kind of James Bond villains or something. it's stupid. they don't do stuff like that. we don't live in a movie...

  • Don't be so naive

  • don't be so paranoid.

  • you are very naive

  • I'm swedish, you egomaniac. So any notions of what "schools are letting pass" would be kind of void since you have no idea how any school outside of your "hey let's put the bible into our curriculum, God bless america"-style of country works. Unless this one isn't american, and if that's the case, excuse me.

Also, your point is what? That history has proven that conspiracies happen? Grow up.

  • Again we were talking spy's you frigen moron. And for your info, the Bible was taken from our schools, and I was not the one who voted it in, so there for you do need to be schooled even more you jack ass... Next time, just STFU and sit down.

  • Propagada is going to make it go away or discredit it. It is a large capacitor that is constantly building electrons. How it works is for example: Take 2 thin beams of aluminum & run them side by side with a small gap in the middle. The taking permanet magnets and connecting them to the outside of the beams while the Same Poles of the magnets are facing each other. You wrap copper wire around it and attach leads. Depeding on how big the thing is, you can get alot of free power.

  • LOL ROFL. The day any of these things work, it will be on all the world news channels.

  • Endless free energy is TOO good to be true.

In my opinion, you can not create more energy than already exists in the universe. I believe those that claim so are overlooking things. It could be as simple as the human energy to flip a switch, moving cables back and forth, people that don't understand how magnets work, etc. If any component wears out and needs replacement, then that adds energy to the process. Get it?

  • "honest review of the world of science we will nether raise are market until after that" in other words it wont ever come out becuse its no produceing energy storeing maybe with some loss over time, but not produceing

  • Och boys don't get your knickers in a twist!!

Remember what happened to "COLD FUSION"?

    There is nothing here!

  • The self-construction of a Schietti's magnetic wind power station.

You need to buy an ordinary small wind turbine and change it a little bit.

At the end of the blades you need to place some oblique magnets

Outside, you need to place a wheel of magnets of opposite polarity. Neodymium is a good magnet.

By increasing the circle diameter you'll inevitably reach the inertia break point.

  • the energy is coming from broken bearings

  • yeh well the demo was cancelled he could of warned us that it wasnt gonna work

  • lolz, defying physics.

If I invented a device that made energy, I'd just go up to GM or someone and sell it to them for a couple billion dollars and let them take over the energy market.

  • How many suckers are there on the face of the earth?? Barnum had it right "A SUCKER IS BORN EVERY MINUTE". For GOD'S SAKE teach kids Physics in school! He got TOO MUCH GUINESS IN HIM!!!! In ten years time I will look back and say "I TOLD YOU SO!"

  • ...and this coming from a Christian?

  • And after they commercialise their new device and replace car engines and mobile phone batteries they`ll take a five minute breather before making a device to find the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Fox news must realise that it can`t damage its credibility by airing this, since you can`t go below zero.

  • So where did the money go? I've seen no more than $10,000 worth of prototypes. They raised millions from investors... where is it? And why did the staff look so happy at the 'failed demo'?

Look at the Steorn website - "our development work in Africa" says a team from Steorn visited one village in Kenya to see if they needed a pump! Why not just give the pumps to someone like Concern? Why did Steorn choose to "send a team"? How many were on this team and can we see the receipts?

  • This company is applying the theorys of Joseph Newman who has been fight the US government for 40 years to get a patent. The tecnology is very real, the power brokers, oil companies, auto companies etc don't want you to know about it!

  • Their machine has been investigated by a team of scientists and they are set up to demonstrate it to the public in London England some time in July 07.

  • And it was a major case of

    FAIL

  • No,

The US patent office requires you to have a working prototype of a perpetual motion machine to be granted a patent. This is because of the massive amount of claims made from people claiming to have invented them with no proof of functionality.

  • Bout time someone found Tesla`s etheral energy.I read an article in a mag where his nephew states that he drove Nikola around for 300 miles in a car that ran on nothing. I like it.

  • i had a theory like that! bloddy capitolists

  • I can hear the executives at BP London now :

    "F**king Irish bastards"!!!!!

  • who says the laws of physics can't be broken? Humans break federal laws all the time ;) physics is based on theories... theories which aren't 100% proven. They may be 99.9% proven, but there is still a lot about this universe we don't comprehend. We don't even understand our own minds, so how are we to understand the laws of physics. I say steorn is the real deal, unless they don't live up to their claim by 2008.

  • stop bitching, you elitists... just wait for the results from the jury of 22 scientists

  • Its a damn electric motor.. Now I'm not a genuius at all when it comes to technology, but of all the crazy advances we've had, how has no one figured out a way to produce self sustaining energy using magnets.

  • dats why there's the first

  • Thankyou everyone for the great comments and discussion!!

  • "zero point energy" is exactly that; you will get ZERO energy from whatever piece of fraud these guys are pushing. Anyone taking in by this is a complete dolt.

  • No zero point energy is the energy that still exists when all thermal energy is removed. Even if you were to super cool (remove energy) from a photon it will still contain energy that will never go away. Such is vibrational energy.

  • You DO know you just implicitly affirmed the thermodynamics that make Steorn's idea impossible?

  • Well, it's bullshit, like you can only get on Fucks News.

  • What gives humans the right to CREATE LAWS of how the universe operates? Any scientific "law" is merely based on observations made UNTIL NOW. Once new observations are made, that "law" may be proven to have only been theory. DUH!!!

  • Exactly. When a hypothesis is tested to be true it becomes a theory. Now after centuries of testing there is no change in the theory then it is deemed undeniably true. Thus it becomes a Law. Now whose to say that some new break through finding/technology might bring those laws back into question. That is happening here.

  • Its free, but they plan to commercialize on it?

  • well you have to make the machinery to generate the free energy LOL

  • Vaporware

  • So, in which peer-reviewed scientific journal might I expect to see a paper about this "technology" of theirs? Nature? Science? Physical Review? Annals of Math?

  • Tesla harnessed "free" energy from the ionosphere. But after his death, all of his inventions/patents/ideas were snagged up by the US government - never to be seen again.

  • i don't care if it's true or not.

I SIMPLY REFUSE TO BELIEVE ANYTHING FROM FAUX NEWS.

if this were from a reputable news outlet, i might be interested.

  • True that.

  • hell ya.

  • by the way, the permanant magnet engines designed by steorn do no violate your precious physics laws (which are theory, not law!!). The engine does not create energy, rather it harnesses energy that is already present

  • The law of conservation of energy is a law. That is why it is not called the "theory of conservation of energy". Go look up "theory" and "law" in the dictionary.

If he put out findings for independent review, then the scientific community will be in a position to either confirm or disprove his findings.

My personal opinion, it sounds like a load of crap.

  • so just because humans claim it is a law, it is set in concrete? I recall that they thought the world was flat once too, everyone did... I sort of think the guy is full of shit too, but I would have to stand by the law of conservation as a law made by man that could be dubunked at anytime.

  • Breeder18, no that is not what I said. Again, look up law in the dictionary, and look for he definition in reference to science and math.

A scientific law such as this is based on CENTURIES of observation, being proven time and time again. Yeah, people thought the world was flat once, but that was based on superstition and conjecture. Laws can be disproven, but needs repeatable verification in the scientific community.

  • I agree with you chggg, but we are in a different technological age now vs centuries ago. There are many new avenues of research that haven yet to be tapped. Currently other scientists are doing just that, attempting to disprove it. It will probably be bogus, but until other scientists say so I am hopeful :/

  • @ breeder

When was there a "law of flat earth"? What you are confusing is law and theory. Or do you think the laws of gravity are not set in concrete because they're "man-made"? The laws of conservation of energy are observed and measured in real life and lab conditions.

  • @RA272 ?? when did I say law of flat earth!! I was simply giving an example of something that was once widely accepted as being the truth! I am not mentioning the laws of gravity because we are talking about energy! Yes there is an established law of energy that has yet been defied, but it doesn't mean that it's impossible! New discoveries are being made often in the field of energy, keep an open mind... DAMN!

  • you realize he says in one of the videos on their site that it does violate the law?

  • That is exactly right. Many think that this energy is coming from, "thin-air" as in it is being created from nothing. It isn't. It is created from energy that has yet to be harnessed. Just think of wind or solar energy. Sun light is energy and so in the wind. Wind turbines and solar panels are merely devies to harness this energy. His engines does the same thing. Simply harnesses a energy field that has not been tapped.

  • they won't commercialize it but they'll go fox news and talk about it?

  • didn't nikola tesla thought of this first?

  • People who actually believe this shit are insane or stupid. Whether it's true or not doesn't even matter at this point. What matters is that you're making the incredibly foolish decision to believe this man when he's put forward absolutely NO EVIDENCE that anything he says is credible at all, while simultaneously overturning the single most fundamental law of physics.

  • Now i just wonder what kind of spin the corperations are going to unfold onto this story. Very very interesting.

  • if its possible i can't wait

  • people referring to this guy is uncredibe don't realize that as soon as they use the term "faux news" gave up their credibility as well

  • this is crap. free, endless energy would totally violate everything about physics. this would imply that we could lower entropy, which is totally impossible.

  • This guy is in serious danger of "suicide" or a "car accident".

I think that the science community wont accept it. There too busy trying to push the global warming scam.

He needs to get the technology in products and get it into the home so people can buy it and it becomes accepted that way.

I know Steven Greer is trying the same thing at the moment. He's also a key player.

  • or maybe rockefellers exxon, shell, texaco etc wont accept it. u can nowadays make a car run on air too. and i bet u could make it run on magnetism, wouldnt even be that difficult

  • Now I know what kind of people don't "believe" in global warming. Those who think people will get killed by the scientific if they make a breaktrough. Too bad this is on fox news, kind of easy to discredit it then... gonna do some research on this though.. interesting.

  • I think the way they've released this is quite key. Letting the scientists evaluate and validate his claim, then thir going to release the specs. They'd need to kill alot more people off than Sean MacCarthy to have this die down, but definately agree with implimenting it in products.

I think this will come soon after the validation process. The technology is out there and has been out there since tesla developed wireless free power nearly a hundred years ago.

  • Do some research for yourself. Look into Nicola Tesla, scalar, zero point, hutcheson effect.

Just because its on fox news doesnt mean its bad, their trying to discredit the mans business as it is. This is revolutionary stuff. Im surprised he hasnt been assasinated yet.

  • Its pretty cool that you can list such physics things. A, a scalar is a value that does not depend on direction; B, zero point, which I assume you refer to zero point energy is nothing more than the statement that when solving the hamiltonian to find the energy of a particle in groundstate, it has momentum and position.

  • By the uncertantity principal, while you cant know both, it is exceedingly unfounded and in fact wrong to assume that the momentum is zero, because the momentum is greater than zero the kinetic energy is greater than zero. To derive energy from this, the ground state, you have to excite it past the ground state and then, as it falls down, you observe a drop in kinetic energy.

  • To do so, though, you have to put in more energy than you get out. As for the hutcheson effect, he and the rest of the scientific community were never able to reproduce his findings and produced poorly documented videos and information. Also, while google is not to be used directly as a metric to determine the valadity of a theory, when googling the Hutcheson effect there is almost no mention, in fact, the first thing brought up is something by the IEEE about keeping your job.

  • Any real scientific theory would atleast claim one of the links on the first page, especially such a "revolutionary" theory.

So yeah, do some research. Tool.

  • Hey hey easy on tiger, your obviously very protective about this type of subject matter. Id like to see you say the same thing in 20-50 years time. Keep an open mind then you wont be kicking yourself in the grin when your proven wrong. :)

  • Why everybody make joking about Steorn. !!

Free energy is possible be getting.

If man is in my country making free energy from goat droppings why Irish man can no make free energy from stupid magnet ?

  • Utter nonsense. Is there noone at Faux News that has the slightest idea of basic science?

  • wow. this guy sure seems believable.... he looks so sane and credible! just like Faux News.

  • I hope we will see some proof of this soon. If it does work it would be a major turningpoint in history and society as we know it would start looking very different very fast. Thats IF this is not a major scam. But im really hoping its not. Like someone said, get the technology out there and fast, if it does work. Because if it does a lot of powerful people are gonna get really pissed off.

  • We shouldn't automatically dismiss new ideas out of hand, but these guys so far have proven absolutely nothing. Look at their website. They've supposedly proven it with universities, but none will come forward? This has all the red flags of a scam...

  • as long as they can not proof that the energy does not com of other energy, no laws of physics are broken.

  • i challenge them to send me a copy of there plans and ill see whats there and if it works ill let you tube know i will test for free well almost free there is nothing in this world free

  • good thing these guys are in ireland. im pretty sure the pentagon would of shown a keen interest in there technology also they would have had there site shut down and said its for national security. GET YOUR TECHNOLOGY OUT ON THE NET COMMON STEORN LET SGET FREE ENERGY ON THE GO

  • they will disperse it to small and big developers, over the net, after validation. look up their jan 11th 2007 announcement about licensing.

  • This is what UFO's run on.

  • What he's saying can't be true, it's too far-fetched. What really bugs me though is that I can't figure out how they're going to make money from this - they are making a big deal of not taking any money from anybody (so far anyway!)

  • They have millions in investment, which they are probably using to fund patents for devices that can actually be used for the mundane purposes they were involved with before this scam.

  • stupid tv prompt, they aren't saying from "thin air", they are saying from nothing. Nothing comes from nothing. Even you narrow minded non-college boys can figure that one out.

  • Evidence of this 'free energy' can be seen from the Casimir Effect. It is caused by the normal fluctuations of electromagnetic fields throughout all space around us. I think they've somehow found a way to harness this very small scale electromagnetic energy and convert it into the sort of energy we can use, electric, or kinetic, etc...

  • Casimir Effect is well studied to gather enough energy to tun a loght blub you would need plates the size of a large country

  • anyone who denies this technology works must put their money where there mouth is and do some research. Look at their website:

    www.steorn.com,

then go to g00gle video and type in free energy. this has been invented before and covered up by the international oil/banking community.

now type in "freedom fascism" on google video. From then on you will begin to discover things about our world that are truly shocking. Before calling me a nut watch the films on g00gle video.

  • um... I would have thought those making the claims should be the ones doing their research... and before they take money from investors. You are gullible if you believe all the conspiracy theories.

  • they're not taking money from investors. and im not being naive: maybe there's some sodium fluoride in your water supply?

  • This rubbish about "letting the public know" about their "opportunity," and getting well-known scientists involved shows that they are really interested in just generating more publicity, and with it, suckers' money. Why publicize your invention in the bloody Economist? Why not Nature? Because this has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with finding sucker "inverstors."

  • Cripes! And the world is FLAT. Scientists don't like breakthroughs they weren't involved in, or that they perceive as contrary to what they know. Tesla himself noted "thin air" was full of energy - he never focused on capturing/converting it for man's use. It doesn't contradict the laws of physics if scientists accept the possibility that plasmic energy is being converted into usable energy with harmonic or potentiating magnetic fields.

  • Assuming this is real and a scientists figures out the physics behind it, that scientist will win the nobel prize and will reach the levels of distiction achieved by Einstein. The whole idea that scientists are against progress is ridiculous.

  • The way the scientific community torpedoed the Fleischmann-Pons experiment tells a different story, a few university department heads resigned after their colleges altered test data to post false negative results, & the few that posted positive results lost federal funding. BTW - Einstein himself professed that "thin air" or aether/ether is a real phenom & as such must contain energy as well as other physical properties.

  • Are you actually suggesting this energy is coming from the cosmic microwave background radiation?

    Bwahahahahahahaahahahahaha

  • No, I made no mention of Moray, was disproving your comment about scientists being against progress. The "experts" laughed cold fusion out of the room, called it a fraud... do a search on cold fusion today, many companies have proved the so called experts wrong. The "experts" didn't care about progress, just denying the existence of a field they weren't familiar with or fear of losing funding for their hot fusion projects.

  • You meantioned what Einstein considered to be the biggest mistake of his life. the Eather... or the cosmological constant. something recently proven to be correct and explained by the cosmic microwave background radiation. All you did is show your ignorance.

  • No, you're apparently too simple minded to seperate Moray actually converting background radiation into an energy source on planet Earth vs. Einstein's mention in theory as to the evolution of the universe. And as you just mentioned, Einstein made bold statements about aether, then thought he was wrong - and recently it was proven that he was wrong when he thought he was wrong.

  • From Dept of Astrophysics, U of C - "..a lesson to all thinkers, that we should never close our minds to new possibilities, even if the thought of the day is that they are impossible. The fact that the cosmological constant is still debated today, almost a century after it was introduced by Einstein & that it lies at the crossroads of quantum mechanics & gravity, makes one think that it was probably not Einstein's biggest blunder, but perhaps his greatest legacy."

  • From Carl Sagan - "extraordinary claims require extraordinary proofs"

  • And if you do a search on free energy, steorn will come up. This old "Skeptics are not open minded" argument makes me sick. Get me a qualified engineer with actual results of why this violates well established principles, and I'll believe it. Oh and if something does eventually violate conservation of energy, it will be at a quantum level, near the speed of light, or in massive gravity. How much investment has he got with NO results? SCAM

  • Why are you arguing on youtube? Just look at the results from the 22 scientists when it comes out. Calm urself down.

  • While we wait for the results that dick is getting rich off nothing.

  • You should take the time to read how they have conducted themselves. They have not used the claims to raise cash to defraud investors. So what would the motive be if they aren't on to something? Ruining their careers for the rest of their lives?

  • touche!

  • hey i got to see that when do they come out .

  • Considering such radiation exists on the surface of this planet it just very well might be. I suggest you look up the work of Tesla. Oh and he didn't proceed with his free energy findings because the same technology can be used to microwave an entire city.

  • Or because he burnt his lab down? Where exactly did he violate the law of conservation of energy? Steorn make an outright claim that they can do this on their website. Tesla never violated that principle. And solar energy costs no money, but is not "free". You should think about that before you talk shite. Watching the discovery channel does not make you a physicist.

  • yea tesla was the man hes the reason why we have advanced technology now . look at ac electricity without that we wouldnt even be close to what we have i wouldnt be talking right now online. people never give him credit he did so much and so many have stolen from him . aww it makes me mad well hes the best scientist ever.

  • Blarney! Scammer fooled Faux News - no suprise here.

Testing needs a scam buster like James (the Amazing) Randi - scientists aren't used to dealing with slight-of-hand cheating scammers.

  • This is fucked up, all you narrow minded collage boys think you have a clue, really dont.

The Irish don't make shit up!

  • I'm Irish and guess what if this idea was around since Tesla... it is a scam. this guy has been around for a will also is it worked the 500 or so scientists he says offered to test it would be on PBS, now they really don't make shit up.

  • I refered to it as new techonolgy simply for the fact that I haven't personally seen anyone else come forward with hardware capable of the same thing.

Proving it works...the video footage was enough; hard to explain what was going on there, but was enough.

  • how is it that so many people are giving this video a 1 star? it's as if the entire youtube community is not capable of their own thought. what if this was true? did you think about that?

  • This is bullshit. Energy can't be created nor destroyed. It can be tapped from the vacuum as the entire universe does for aeons. I sincerely thought it would be doing more than this. It's a full box of claims. It only claims, and proves nothing. This men is a bogus.

  • Prove it. If you're gonna debunk new techology, provide your own evidence to prove it doesn't work.

  • I say the same for you. Simply prove it will work and I will be shut up. I didn't say new technology wouldn't work. Can you read plain english?

  • second law of thermodynamics?

  • Is only a theory, with potential to be be disproven.

  • So what? What is your point?

  • A. a theory is not a hypothesis

    B. Its not a theory its a law, it has been proven.

  • Whats your point?

  • The "Laws" of physics are constantly being challenged by new information. If we constrain ourselves to antiquated ideals, we will perish as an intelligent race.

  • Yes, since they are prooved scientifically. "Claims" will not prove anything.

  • Look up "Energy By Motion" on youtube.

  • the ahem "laws" of physics are responsible for every technological amenity you enjoy. If the science was bad you wouldn't be able to post your comments using your PC! Science is about progress but it's also about critical thinking. You can't just accept what every whack job on the street claims they've discovered. This will and probably already has been debunked.

  • I'm not saying the laws are entirely wrong, I'm just saying that they can be revised as we learn more.

  • That reporter was a dumbass...

  • the energy comes from THE TIME DOMAIN. conservation of ENERGY is in 4-space, not 3-space!

  • the energy comes from THE TIME DOMAIN. conservation of ENERGY is in 4-space, not 3-space!

  • It would be GREAT if such technology exists. F_CK the Automobile industry - GASOLINE - Pollutants and GREEDY CORPORATIONS!! I welcome any alternative over what we have now.

  • the energy comes from THE TIME DOMAIN. conservation of ENERGY is applied in 4-space, not 3-space!

  • Time is not a dimension. It is how we measure change.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. Steorn has apparently been taken over, 'conquered' if you will, by a master race of giant space ants.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. Steorn has apparently been taken over, 'conquered' if you will, by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthmen or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them

  • Yeah, i for one welcome our new overlords.

This Steorn thing was really controvertial on Diggdotcom.

It's just gotta be a mistake, hoax or some other craziness.

  • lol at the fact his first worry was peoples health! what a fag

  • Meatwad: But he's a genius!

Frylock: Well, I know he told you that.. but--

Free energy is great! I think all cyber squirells should use it!
