Jacenta I owe you a HUGE apology and I am doing it publicly. I am acting like a hypocrite here I am criticizing you about one of your comments when I in turn said something negative to you. Please accept my apology and I will delete my comment it was uncalled for.
Hi,My name is Angel and I've been trying to keep up with you're sister hair, I sent you a comment on you're page thinking you were you're sis and I said wow!! you're hair looks great which it does, but I it was her.. what's going on with you're sister's hair how does it look now?
hold on, im confused, this is an update to what? like what was the length of ur hair b4 u did the update vid? and y does the hair look like its dirty blonde? does mtg change the color of ur hair too? is it cuz of the chemicals, cuz if it is, i aint having dat, no way sista
I was told that sulfer aide grows your hair in which my hair is med. length but I wanted to try it days later I noticed my hair actually fell out and my hair line just at the temples are gone only really only noticeable when you look up close but I was so f-ing mad at Pls be sure that your hair can tolorate sulfur b4 applying
um sweetheart its nice you helping her put but i think you stop putting braids in her hair and let it go natural mabe you try investing in lace wig theres sites on the internet where they have very low prices
I disagree with that. I have been doing braids and have this alopecia. I went natural and I STILL have alopecia. What you're doing to the rest of your hair that is doing FINE has nothing to do with what you're doing to the damaged area. I'm doing braids on the hairs that are fine and they remain fine. I physically cannot do braids on the damaged area. So why does it make sense to stop doing braids all together?
I had an issue with alopecia as well. It was in several spots but it was the worst in the back. It does make a difference if you are putting traction on the rest of the hair because the alopecia spreads so to speak. Have you seen the ladies who's hairlines start where there ears are? This is why.
MTG does work and it is because of the sulfa in it. It may not work on everyone's hair. I recommend going to a dermatologist if possible to get a diagnosis. Also I took hair vitamins, stopped relaxing and putting tension on my hair. You can also use emu oil which rejuveninates hair follicles.
This is not to be funny or anything but i really recommend people who braid, not to have the sides of their hair done. I braid my own hair and i always leave the sides around my ears ad temple out, and i simply twist or plait my own hair. It looks mad but at least my hair stays on my head.
I have heard of this method but you can braid the sides of your hair. It's just that some people pull to tight (I've really noticed this with the African Braiders) also you cannot wear braids for extended periods of time also you need to change your style so the hair isn't pulled in the same direction.
yes you can 'technically' braid the sides of you hair but is it in the best interest of your hair. From the time of my last post my baby hairs have grown about an inch, and that's a lot for baby hair! neat hair is NOT worth a bold head.
Yes... I think that essentially we agree. I do not wear braids at all unless I do them myself bc I've noticed that each time I wear braids I have substantial hair loss not just the sides.
One more thing I forgot to mention, she might have alopecia which can cause severe hair loss. She should perhaps see what a doctor has to say about it.
I agree with Annazayla. If your sister is wary of going without braids because of her hairline, she could just wear her hair down while she's at home and throw on a wig when she goes out. Also being natural for a while will only do some good. At any rate, the braids have to go. They strain the roots by adding weight and ripping hair out by the roots. I'm now a natural for going on 2 years and my hair is SO thick and healthy now. I wish her nothing but the best and happy growing =)
I agree. I had alopecia in the back, my dermatologist was treating it. I decided to go natural on my own and the hair started to grow back quicker. I even advised my dermatologist to advise her African American clients to stop relaxing for better results.
I think that it is true the alopecia can spread, but when there is such a drastic difference between the hair count on the rest of my head and the hair count on my spot... and the hair count has been looking the same for several years... then I do not see anything wrong with braiding the rest of the hair.
Stop putting braids and extensions in her hair and her hairline will repair itself due to NO STRESS! continue using MTG to help it in the meantime but quit with the braids for now!
I like the fact that you continue to make your videos even though people have the audacity to come on your page and make nasty comments. I love your videos and hope that you start to make some more very soon. Keep doing what you're doing!
try DOO GRO its lighter than all of those products you are using..And I too have thin sides but as long as those braides are there it wont grow try other styles!
She has REALLY got to take those braids out. My temples are the same way. They barely grow. But since I started using Boundless Tresses (the human version of MTG) and not wearing braids my templs are grown. Those braids are doing nothing but pulling/popping her edges out and fighting the growth. This is why it is staying bald closest to the braids. Also that comb is not good for her hair. There is not much hair to come there anyway. So use a soft natural brush. Good Luck
Yeah you right.Me and my mom tryed to tell her. She could have just been doing nothing to her hair while school was out.But she wanted braids. But yeah I can understand that.Cause she don't want her hair looking any kind of way while out
Get rid of that Softee and Blue Magic hair grease - try using pure olive and jojoba oil and mixing in with 100% pure rosemary essential oils which has been proven to promote hair growth. You can also buy Swan's Sulfur off Ebay (that's where I got mine) and mix it with the olive oil and rosemary oil. Sulfur is said to promote hair growth (make sure you get the yellow kind). Good luck!
Tell your sister, she might want to stop wearing braids and maybe getting herself a nice wig until her hair grows out. I really do believe that locs (or an afro) is the way to go for most black women - that is our natural hair, and the hair will only be healthy and grow long in it's natural state. I know she has to be happy seeing results like that. I just ordered by bottle of MTG and Sulu Oil.
Poor thing. I hope it grew back.
