  • Looks great, but to slow for practical use. :( - But few more years of research and development and there will be a huge market for generations of even bigger couch potatous that don't eve wont to press a button (or will shaking a hand be too much for them?)!

  • works bad((

  • How comes every time they're showing the "next big thing" in user interface, it's always with a photo library? Are we really spending that long watching our photographs on our computer/TV/tablet/etc...?

  • What else can you shake to confirm?

  • pretty cool

  • There is a free Flash library called OstrichFlash you can use to make your own apps like this.

  • It's like a touch screen interface that avoids covering the screen with finger grease

  • cool but laggy, just like most new technology it has to get better over time and then maybe it'll be really something

  • Project NATAL

  • Comment removed

  • this reminds me of project natal for xbox 360 except not even kind of as cool check out the natal look up the commercial in the search bar for youtube. It's crazy! These kind of things are cool just not perfect

  • I don't like that ;X It's pointless

  • 今はかなり性能悪そうですけど、今後こんな風になると思います。

    頑張ってほしいです。

  • hitachi had something really really similar...just a few post bacl..

  • i like japanese tech stuff. they do what others think...

  • so its a big handless wii, so what?

  • omg all these closeup refelctions of jap faces...vietnam flashback!

  • one step closer to what iron man has.

  • ahhahaahahahahah duck hunt comments

  • This would work much better with 4 cameras focusing in on a point a few feet from the screen. It would give much more accurate feedback.

This two camera method can't pick up the motions well enough.

Either that, or use a coloured ring like Microsoft's Project Natal is rumored to be using and this would work much better.

  • Didn't this already come with the PlayStation Eye toy...? I remember using it at a friend's house and you had to shake your hand over the buttons... it was pretty much identical to this.

  • this tech has been widely available for the last 10-15 years. doesn't work well.

  • this kind of tech is def the way forwards, now all we need to do is to wait for interface system where we have to throw our entire bodies and those of several passers-by into large coloured boxes that detect input.

  • I think buttons are easier... =)

  • @Casper123666 i think your mom's easier

  • Instead of all this handwaving, why not just have it respond to where you point, like with the Duck Hunt game? You would point at the screen and a mouse cursor appears that snaps to selectable items.

  • @kmarinas86 dont be silly we're still decades away from duckhunt accuracy and technology. Maybe YOU can afford to buy duckhunt, think of us average consumers :P

  • now instead of the flick of a wrist or moving a finger we can wave our arms about and shake our heads like loonies... :

  • this technology really need to improve further... its too bloody laggggggggg

  • @lancedna "needs" ... "laggy"

  • It wasnt even responding to his movements properly.

  • EYE TOY :D

  • whoa.. bye2 touch screen! =D

  • Do the japanese have so much money on research that they no longer know what to invent and so they invent trivial stuff?

  • Microsoft Natal

  • well its an old concept, fluid tunes for mac dose the same thing

  • that reminds me Matrix

  • @caletcalet Nope...Tom Cruse Movie

  • @jackfucker1 oh, you are right, i remember. Thanks
