The world made such a big deal about the so called sharpeville massacre where 69 people were killed by police during apartheid. The number of dead in these xenophobic attacks is fast approaching that figure and yet no one is condemning the blacks. These people have had almost 2 decades to better themselves after apartheid and as they failed dismally, they start blaming foreigners for their misfortune. They need to grow up and take responsibility for themselves.

The question I would like to ask any person believing they are South African is, what is a South African? Does being black make you a South African? Does being white or any other color make you more South African than the next person? We as a nation of all colors, religions, creed, belief need to stand up and make our voices heard. Our govt needs to pay more attention to the illiteracy problems, job creation, service delivery. Those are the fundamental basics needed to make any country prosper.

Personally I believe no certain race is to blame for this. This is a matter of principle and respect for each other. Like I said in the video, the "illegal immigrants" just want a place to call home, nothing more. The govt should wake up from their own little world of corruption and lies and start seeing the bigger picture here! People are getting killed for Pete's sake!

But in the first place the ANC and the bleeding heart liberals are to blame, for neglecting or promoting measures that lead to mass-immigration of poor often criminal blacks from other countries. Would you think more or less of the situation if absolutely no blacks were involved? Would you then ask "Then why are the blacks not joining...??" Either way the thing here isn't about races, what's going on is people are being chased away from a supposed free country.

I am bloody well 17 years old and I can see that, why can't the bigger ,more important people see it as well?

This is sad, being South African I am fearful of what is happening in our country. We are a nation of many cultures, many religions and many colors. The value of human life has never been this low and never before have I felt so ashamed of calling myself South African. The dreams of our freedom fighters never included this type of senseless violence. They fought so we can have the freedom to build a country to be proud of, to be a shining beacon of hope and opportunity, not this.

Well, that "many cultures" thing may be the reason why it is impossible to come to better, feasible solutions.

Be adviced that ANC, BCM, PAC, SACP were no freedom fighters at all. Rather foreign sponsored terrorists, supported by people that had all but the best for South Africa at heart.

Oh dear. Black Africans openly display xenophobia against certain people - Nigerians, for example. Yet there is invariably a deafening silence against such xenophobia, but when it happens to other Africans, people find a problem with it. The good thing is, few Nigerians have died in the wave of attacks in SA. Those who feel the pinch are the ones that hate Nigerians the most: Zims, Malawians, etc. Karma is a bitch. They deserve to be roasted and alive and their heads split wide open!

I find this also rather funny that now where Blacks are killing Blacks from neighbouring countries (that entered South Africa illegally), the whole media pays suddenly attention. So we should investigate, whether it is not xenophilia or blancophobia that is actually the problem...
