This is so accurate. When I was an academic librarian, I can't even count the number of times students came to me and said that their professor required articles from REAL MAGAZINES. the identical articles from databases just wouldn't do. ugh.
I know what you mean, @karissimah. At least once a semester some professor will assign his or her students to photocopy the front cover of a given journal, not realizing that we don't carry that journal in print.
In this video, however, it's more about students who come in asking for "scholarly magazines" rather than scholarly journals. It's clearly a teachable moment, but it can be frustrating (and slightly amusing) to encounter a student who simply doesn't want to be taught.
