  • @Pull0utBoy A UAV and a Care Package?

  • I remember watching "Heat" in a cinema for the first time, the tension rised slowly through-out the whole movie and finally exploded in this scene.

I actually tried to keep my head down but still starred at the screen.

Never felt such an intense impression of being caught in a gun fight again...well, maybe the first ten minutes of SPR are even more intense.

  • I guess this fool has never seen a John Woo film.

  • This doesn't have shit on Wanted (near the end of the movie) :(

  • @KeanesPark Wanted sucked.

  • @TeeMcDee89 Yes, just like this movie sucked. Don't go listing off reasons because A) No one's really going to care and B) In the end it's just an opinion so no point in trying to "prove" your point or anything.

  • that was a great scene! But u must have never seen the hospital shootout in "Hard Boiled"! It has the title!

  • The pd got torn up :(

  • Assault rifles fuckin galore.

  • I still say 'Hard Boiled' has the best shootout scenes. 'Heat' is excellent still though.

  • EPIC!!!!

  • you said it "In Real Battle", this is a movie !

  • yea well this is movie so it dont matter

  • @Czaendermajer thats right

  • @Czaendermajer See now, here's where you're wrong, I guess you're referring to the scene where Kilmer was firing the AR-15 at Pacino directly at a car right? Then I'd tell you why it's not retarded. Yes, they're using 5.56mm NATO rounds and he's shooting at Pacino through the hood of the car. There's so many things at the hood of the car, therefore the bullets would be ricochet off several hard and more solid surface, plus a decreased force. There are other flaws though.

  • @Czaendermajer you see it did really happen its called the north hollywood bank robbery

  • Tom Cruise and Al pacino? This film seems to be realy good... You should try to see listening "Scavenger - Killradio" i was doing it and it made the video even better!

  • HEAT one of the best movies of all times;and not just because of the shooting scenes which are beatifuly orchestrated but the whole movie is so well composed and shot, each frame is like a photograph in motion, sort of like barry lyndon..the performances are stellar, the sfx are done in good taste and don't distract the viewer and the plot actually makes sense,it's just a good good movie, and the kind of guy movie that you can actually bring your gf too

  • awesum

  • redneck

  • I think it's Denzel Washington

  • It would be funny to see DW knocked down from 'super star' to plain old struggling token and then pointlessly shot to death in a movie.

  • very cool

  • damn that was good. nothing compares to this in any movie. it's crazy how the cops were shooting even tho there were people inside those cars at the beginning....

  • CLASSIC ..JUST SO FUCKIN CLASSIC !

  • seems like a real life shooting scene on Mexico's drugs war

  • best shooting scene ever this is like my minds screen saver i love this movie its in my top 5

  • After I watched this I absolutely had to go play GTA 4.

  • this is the best shooting secne of all movies ....anyone who has seen this movie thinks so

  • Guys you know what? It really reminds me on that North Hollywood shootout....check out youtube!

  • honestly... never seen the movie... but now i will! Though I'm more of a guy who likes War movies, I love how this shooting scene seems more realistic then many movies ive seen before

  • Dumb little girl too bad a stray bullet didn't hit her.

  • Definitely the best shooting scene in movie history!

  • @Fabegdose It definitely is the absolute longest & best ever!

Val Kilmer set that shit off without a 2nd thought!

  • One of the best shooting scene of all time!

  • truly is a symphony of bullets...

    only in america...

  • Scene is nice... but the bags of money are like 40 kg each, hard to move with one of these bags, let alone run and shoot...

  • gotcha thanks...im watching this movie right now on AMC. its totally going to be apart of my movie collection.

  • what is al pacino carrying? i have never seen this shoot out till recently and i am blow away!! awesome

  • FN FNC assault rifle.

  • Looks kinda like an Ak47 Tac :P

  • Looks like a G3...

  • looks like a FN FAL...just thought id add in what I thought htat gun looked like...w/e gun it is were talkin bout haha

  • it looks like exactly like the korean daewoo rifle, same 5.56mm as the m16s which are most popular in movies, but i never expected to see a daewoo rifle, in any american films.

  • no actualally its an m4a1

  • whatever al pacino is holding definately does not look like an m4a1 or any of the armlite models

  • looks lke either the FN FAL or the FNC

  • Kick ass!!!

  • SCARFACE vs Italian Mobster, this is the best movie, two of the best mafia actors go head to head, amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ☻/

    /▌ ACTION PACKED!!!!!

    / \

  • cuz its a movie

  • why didnt they take that right, drive a couple blocks and get to a bug out car?

  • In short; refrain from being a smart ass and stating the platforms are not Commando's, when in fact, they are. On another note I was not stating that the smaller caliber Heckler and Koch platforms have recoil. G-Series are popular with loose component fitting that ultimately recoils. Especially in the late 50's A and B 7.62mm models. In NZA, we adopted the Steyr but our CQC's do utilize variants of the M-Series H & K's.

  • car-15 wewt wewt

  • NicoretteMan. I now just realized that the FNC Pacino is "wielding" was not the H & K. I tagged two different firearms as one, my mistake. Though Bushmaster was involved during the preliminary "blueprints" of the shootout scene. Meaning they were going to utilize Bushmaster's M4 Carbine for Kilmer and Robert. Then Colt, who obviously manufacturers the .233 Commando, stepped in and decided to endorse their firearm by utilizing the Commando. Val's platform is Colt. Not Armalite, nor Bushmaster.

  • You ever notice how in movies cops are a dime a dozen? I mean, whenever one of them dies in a movie (or twenty) nobody seems to give a shit. Lol.

  • Good old 5.56mm Colt Commando's and the Fabrique Nationale Carbine. Pacino is wielding a Heckler & Koch G-Series of some sort. A lot of recoil are in those H & K's let me tell you.

  • Astronaut: The only H&K, of any sort, in the whole movie is a H&K 91 used by Val Kilmer sniping in the parking lot/gone wrong deal scene. Pacino is "wielding" a FN 80 in .223 (5.56).

H&K with lots of recoil? A .223 with "lots of recoil"?? You tried to guess an old G3? No recoil there either mate. Oh, one more thing, no Colt's Commando, M4's actually. You got one thing right though, they were "good old" carbines.

  • i love the sound difference when the shoots come from a city street where the waves reverberate off the building walls....makes it sound 3x louder

  • if i ever robb a bank i will watch this clip again to get some helpfull tips.

they should have worn a bullet proof helmet and a bag full of granades.

  • yep, thats what movies, tv and videogames are for :D. basically they teach us how to shoot and reload weapons without training, so yeah, i know how to shoot and reload RPG's, pistols, assault riffles, uzis, and all kinds of stuf !!

  • This scene was such a realistic depiction of move, fire, reload, fire, that I think either a police department or the US Marines used it as a training video for how to deal with such a situation. First time I saw this it blew me away. Absolutely incredible. The scene in Collaterol is good, but not a patch on this

  • Michael Mann brought in Andy McNabb and Mick Gould, both formerly of the British Special Air Service, as technical advisors to both train the actors and choreograph the action sequences. The firing tactics are pure textbook SAS. McNabb served in the famous Bravo Two Zero operation in Gulf War 1 and was taken POW. The movie Bravo Two Zero depicts his story. And the action sequences, though in the Iraqi desert, reflect the same tactics.

  • This scene is one of the best shoo outs in movie history. This scene influenced the 2 guys from the 1997 North Hollywood bank shootout to do that.

  • God, I love the FNC

  • yeeeah me to!

  • I JUST finished watching this movie. This scene was AMAZING. Honestly, felt like 10 minutes and I was absolutely enthralled. The gunshots are perfect, not over down and suit the atmosphere perfectly. Not playing music in the background added to the intensity of it. While I believe they would have gotten picked off, the precision in which this scene was executed along with the sheer spread of bullets made it very believable. The matrix shootout is "cool" but this is the best shootout i've seen!

  • no rpg lol

  • shooting an m4 inside a car... seems like a baaaad idea :s

    Amazing movie though :D

  • WHAT?!?!?!

    I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

  • Best scene ever!!!!!! end of story!!!!

  • I'm a big fan of Heat, and I love the buildup to this, when you see how both crews (cops and gangsters) are on rails. Neither is going to give an inch, it comes to that head but you sense it all along the movie. Mann played with many basic, but brilliant oppositions, like good - bad, justice - injustice, love - hate, selfishness - selflessness, honor - betrayal, and those still come out somehow, even in this gun battle. So life like, even how the cops inch their way behind that bus... Brilliant.

  • No slow-motion scenes with CGI bullets, no techno/faux-rock track in the background, no spinning or flipping...

They just don't make movie shootouts like these any more.

  • damn right

  • totally agree, i hate the idea of them making dudes get nailed with a pistol in long range shooting or sumetin like that. one thing, the police are getting 'peppered' with machine guns, but the cops with pistols are shooting back ?!

  • whats this movie called

  • it says in the title , The Heat .

  • why the fuck would you say something like that?

  • OFFICER CANNONFODDER! NOOO!

  • i think this would be the best shoot out

  • Fuck Yeah! Shootin' scenes don't get better, that's true. But there's a lot of competition form other movies like "The Way of The Gun", "Scarface" etc...

  • wow I need one of those when the traffic get heavy lol shoot the hell out

  • Pacino is shooting a fn fnc beautiful gun ^^

  • saw this on tv last night. This is by far the best shooting scene ever created

  • how many hits does tne driver take xD, you should also add Ronins shooting scene and chase kicks ass as well

  • People...this is the best shooting scene of all time, hands down!!!

  • Indeed. Nothing else comes close. I have never seen a scene like this.
