God, as a neutral fan that's just enjoying the show, this was probably one of the best game 6s I've ever seen. How often do you see an overrated goalie like Luongo get benched to start, (like he should've been) the backup plays fairly well, and gets hurt while giving up a penalty shot goal?

I remember my whole family and I watching this on Easter. We were all having heart attacks. Numerous times I thought they were done. But when Smith put in that goal, man! That was a special moment! We absolutely lost our minds.

@SBXXChampions Same as me. I'm a diehard Hawks fan from Montreal (I like them more than my dear Habs) and rarely in my life was I happier than after Smith's goal. After this goal, regardless of the outcome of Game 7, I considered that the Hawks' season had been a success. Jonathan Toews was laughed at when he said after Game 3 that the Nucks were a beatable team, but God did he proved himself right. This team, and especially their core players, deserve so much respect.

@bmrhojo1 Oh no doubt about it. I've been a Hawks fan since i was six during the Daze, Amonte, and Chelios era. I've seen total roster makeovers throughout the era, and knowing how good Bowman and Wirtz put our whole team together and acquired all these players shows that Lord Stanley will be hoisted by Toews once again. We got a really deep system and excellent minor league system that all our oyung studs come out of.

I know the Detroit fanbase can be smug, but there are fans of the Red Wings out there who can be reasonable. I'm a hockey fan first and I don't see how any true hockey fan could deny that the Blackhawks are a great team.

Detroit fans demand respect for what the Red Wings have accomplished and I think it's only fair that we show respect to other franchises that have earned it as well if we're going to expect fans of other teams to respect the Wings.
