He's referring to when Jazza said he got a 62 or a 66 and said that was a good mark. In North America, that wouldn't be a good mark. It would be barely a passing mark. We go by percentage here (I'm in Canada but the US also uses the same grading system).

British unis claim they use percentage marks aswell... but its generally marked between the high 50s and low 70s. 60 being the 2-1 threshold, 70 for a 1st. Yeah, a 2-1 is really good, just it gets devalued in peoples minds becaus its the mark most people get (though thats only because if they're doing a degree in a subject, they tend to be pretty good at/enjoy that subject, so good marks follow).
