i've been using the homebrew channel for about 6 months or so. i use it for actoolkit for animal crossing. it's always worked fine, ive never had problems with it. but now, whenever i edit my town on ac toolkit, i go to save it and it says:

Error: Unable to save! Make sure the file is not in-use by another process.

It's not. and when i go to my wii and extract the save game, an error comes up. i have a 4.2 version wii. i just updated my version of homebrew. PLEASE HELP!

@RAWRitzpAiiGe You should never update through Nintendo. If you really want to update though, you should try a safe updater so you don't lose your homebrew. Google for one.

i just found out a way to run gecko OS without homebrew.

all you have to do is take the boot ELF from the gecko app end convert it to a DOL. be shore to save the boot ELF for later.

then download smack stack follow the instructions of use. BUT DO NOT USE THE HACKMII . by the end of that you should a privet folder and a privetold folder.

next copy the boot ELF and the boot DOL. and put it in the root of the sd card.

put the sd card in the wii. and run smack stack as normal. and you got gecko OS
