I wish I was a guy because I would be doing that. i am naturally ambidextrous so I think it would be interesting, If I have a boy im going to teach him to throw both ways
My dad thinks I'm playing around when I say i want to throw left handed. I really want to learn because I'm a natural born righty, and when I first saw Pat Venditte do do it, I said that could be me. I've been testing my left arm by using a 2-poung weight and pretending to throw a baseball with the weight and practicing my delivery. Can anyone give me tips about how to strenghten my arm?
it is not as hard as you think send me your email and i will show you the video i did on how to reverse your mechanics. it takes alot of time to get your muscles to remember. muscle memory. if you really want it, you can do it. you dont have to be born with it.
get a "J Band" resistance band from jaeger sports, that is what i am using to strengthen my left shoulder. its safe. i wouldnt use a 2 pound weight if i were you, i did that once and really damaged my rotator cuff. had to take a break for weeks. i think the real thing you need to do is throw. maybe if you have room in your basement, throw a ball down there to work on mechanics first and foremost before you hurt yourself. message me with other questions
If this kid keeps this type of progress up there is no telling how far he could go. Now that Pat Venditte is paving the way in the professional ranks, more coaches are going to be looking for ambidextrous pitchers. Keep up the great work.
You should make a serious attempt to get your mechanics as close to each other as you can. Maybe you might consider building a wooden mound that is portable so as to get the leg drive into the training. I believe that if you keep your training up, you could be an awesome ambidextrous pitcher.
