The grave problem with Apple is that they are too big on two things: inflated stock value (same as money by fiat) and excessive exposure to retail consumers. Interesting note: today I was approved for $10,000 of a line of credit from Apple to buy their products. I'm not sure when or if I will use that line of credit, but it struck me how easy it was to get. No background check, just my address to confirm and it was mine. @aceyorba - You've got a good point there. The stores that seem to be busy are also the same ones that are giving out credit like their is no tomorrow (and those are mostly electronic stores and car dealers). So how much of this is real profit, and how much is just more debt?
