I want to get a mac book and was just watching/reading reviews. Then i saw this thing to do with the internet called airport and said somthing about you need this to connect to a wi-fi network. Is this compulsory to connect to the internet with a mac. Please help , i dont understand.

AirPort is just the name of the wireless internet receiver and it is built into every Mac.

I dont think the 3Gs is worth it though. I have a feeling that they are going to release another one this christmas. Its not worth an upgrade but if you were going to buy a new iphone its a good time to buy one.

I cant wait until the new ipod touch! i hope apple allow 3rd party external controllers for better gameplay and i bet that apple are going to go down the gaming rout with the ipod touch from now on. what do you think?

Voice recognition software. I seem to remember Windows 98 having that? That recognition stuff always fails miserably though. I'm a Brummy me saying "Play the killers" it'll assume i've just said "play the killurs" (sounds kinda like colours). I don't like the idea of a battery only apple can replace either, they must make a fortune from folk not being able to replace their own components, i saved about £80 replacing my own iPod battery, which required some soldering & basic technical knowledge.

I dunno, most phones have more RAM/Higher rated CPUs than the high end PC's of 1997! Hell, most calculators have higher CPU clock speeds than my first computer... which is pretty scary.

in your opinion is the iPhone 3gS worth it? 32Gb sounds interesting, though what do think the price will be for the UK will it be on PAYG?

I would say it is worth it as I use my camera alot to take pictures so 3 MP and autofocus is good for me. Also I use my phone to geocache so the digital compass would be perfect.

The only problem with the new one thats annnoying me is how o2 are stating that we can't upgrade till the end of a contract - for everyone thats 18 months so not when it comes out =/ I hope they change their stance as the reasoning they have is rubbish ... they think the new software gives the current one everything

I think the TomTom app will be good, and video recording, they should have still put a better a better camera in it though. I may just buy the new iPhone 3GS if I have the money, but I have a iPhone 3G so im not sure. Did Steve Jobs make an appearance?

All the features seem like great improvements. I'm not sure when i'd ever use the compass, but it integrates well with the maps. I'm not keen on the idea of someone being able to track my location though! Big Brother!!! :D
