actually , people who pretend to have read the Quran are so easy to spot. The question is how much of the Quran have you read. because if you only read what Mr. Shoebat and his backers wanted you to read than you have not read much. People are waking up , true, and some of them when they read the whole thing they find out how much of a fraud this guy is.

and how come someone with this guy's background in terrorism inside the US has not been arrested by the FBI or even investigated? I never heard of a terrorist being forgiven by the FBI coz he turned Christian.

The FBI did not have knowledge of their plans. until there is evidence they cannot arrest anyone.This guy in his website,blogs,and videos admits he was involved in terrorist activities including training some Jihadists in Chicago, when asked he said that he does not know their whereabouts right now.my question is:why isn't the FBI investigating him? and if he did so then how do we guarantee that none of the ppl he trained is not gonna hurt u or me or other US citizens?

I'm not talking about arresting ppl because of their belief. I'm talking about investigating ppl who claim they were involved in training people who could be still roaming the streets of this country trying to harm US citizens. I think that's a legitimate request don't u think?

Remember the arrest they made of the 4 Yemenis who were plotting a bombing? They were clandestinely investigating them prior to their arrest.

he has been telling his story 4 years since the 90s.so it's not a matter of time.The other possibility is that the FBI had already checked him out(especially with how things have been since 911)and I assume that they did not find anything,meaning that his story is bogus.

The other thing is that if he is a known "ex" terrorist Israel would have never allowed him back in on a visit.Everybody who knows Israelis would say no way in hell.So his claim of terrorism in Israel is also bogus.

Your claim about Israelis not allowing him also does not make sense. Why wouldn't Israel allow him back. Israel would even free convicted terrorist from jail, why wouldn't they let an ex-terrorist back?

the reason why I said so is because if they had found anything of his story to be true then he would have been in Gitmo by now don't u think? especially when he admitted in many of his videos and interviews on FOX that he trained the future wave of Jihadists. I was amazed that O'Reilly did not even ask him on the consequences of that training and how grave that could be on the lives of US citizens. I was shocked at how soft he was on him.really shocked!!

@kwilla2001 I don't know. US is a free country. If you train people to fight, that does not mean its a crime. Its only a crime when you commit a crime, not when you train to commit a crime. In other countries, he may be arrested via the internal security police. Too much freedom is not necessary a good thing.

I'll have to disagree, because some other people were training here and plotting to commit acts of terrorism in Somalia and Iraq were arrested by the FBI. the charge was conspiracy to commit terrorism. They don't wait for a crime to happen in these cases. Mr Shoebat was never charged with that eventhoguh he admits to it. The O'Reilly show interview and others could easily be used as evidence. I think if he were not a "Christian" convert he would be in jail by now.

Those people were probably on the "watch list" prior to their arrest and they actually have a plan to commit terrorism on a specific target/location. You can't just arrest someone just because they said they were ex-terrorists more than 20 years ago, at least not in America.

anti-terrorism has not started after 911. if this guy claimed to be ex-terrorist and trained ppl 4 terrorism who he said in O'Reilly video and others that he does not know their whereabouts then he should be charged with something. I'm actually shocked at the idea that u r trying to find excuses for this guy. I'm pretty sure that if another one pops up tomorrow claiming the same thing but who was still Muslim the media would jump all over him and he would be in jail in no time.

All his speeches are the same. watch some others please and u'll find out... he always starts by befriending the audience with something humorous like his belly and the podium, etc. then he starts talking about his "ex" terrorism story, then he turns to attacking Islam and the Quran. he may as well just make a CD and let ppl listen to it while he stands there.

actually his consistency varies in his story about the bank bombing. sometimes he claimed he "planted" the bomb, sometimes he claimed he threw the bomb on top of the building after seeing children in the vicinity of the bank. the story was disputed by everybody even the Jerusalem post. and there was never in the news anything about any bombing that day. so I'm assuming it was a work of his imagination. and in his speeches he quickly mentions it briefly with varying details each time.

Most ppl who actually Read the Quran (not take verses out of context and understand the circumstances the "violent" verses fell in) end up understanding it better. Most references to the fights against the unbelievers were pointing to the ppl who were in war with Muslims. Nowhere in the Quran would u find verses that will command Muslims to kill anyone innocent. on the other hand Mr. Shoebat must have skipped 1 Samuel 15:3 or Deuteromony 13:16 when he was "studying" the Bible.
