  • All that stagnant water the place has to stink, I don't see how any one can live in those swamps.

  • @fuelerxmdt go fuuuck yourself

  • @fuelerxmdt Bet you it doesn't "stink" as bad as any city you care to name !

  • @fuelerxmdt The water is not "stagnant". and it does not stink. The water and the surrounding area is full of life.

  • Great song. I love the lamentful sound of the violin. Roughly Translated: When I left the house I had made up my mind To get you back, dear Or die trying. When I got to your house I found you with another. that broke my heart. I would rather die than see that. If I had five days in my life Id give three of the five To stay the other two with you I would like to die in your arms
  • Your translation is spot on mon ami.

  • merci for the translation could feel the pain hear the lament as far as I'm concerned thats up there with the volga boat song

  • my dad listens to this all the time! So he got me into listening in this kinda music

  • Quand j´ai parti de la maison J´avais fait mon idée J´étais parti pour te chercher, cher, Où mourir au bout de mon sang. Quand j´ai arrivé à ta maison J´en ai trouvé -z-un autre avec toi Ça, ça a cassé mon cœur, cher, J´aimerais mieux mourir que voir ça. Si j´aurais cinq jours dans ma vie J´en donnerais trois dans les cinq Pour passer las deux autres avec toi J´aimerais mourir dans tes bras.
  • This is the most beautiful and haunting song from the Balfas. Thanks for posting, Scrambler

  • A recent explanation I got from a family member was that the pronunciation of Balfa is sounded with the long "O" sound. His school teachers spelled it as they heard it so he believed it as being the correct spelling...

  • 1bigpat1 do you know someone related to the Balfa's? That's cool. don't take this as I'm disputing your answer but I read in an article that said they(Balfa boys)didn't go to school. Hmmm that could be wrong of course. I've also seen different numbers for how many brothers and sisters there are;9,7,5...? I have no idea which one is right. Do you?

  • the officials and english speakers read balfour and pronounced it balfa, for sure.like the name theuroaux became turox, pronouncing the x at the end, like nascar commentators do.or something like that

  • the french spelling of balfa is spelled bolfa with the ^ on top of the o giving it the long o sound ... this coming from a balfa or bolfa which ever way u want to spell it i am still very proud of my heritage....thanks everyone for yall support of the cajun musicians

  • Why did Will spell his last name differently? Good vid. Hope to visit LA someday, looks like a beautiful, fun place.
