@Satoram Thank you sir! He was a shy kid, but really wanted to sign a card, so I think he got something out of it. I was mostly playing to the adults in the audience, however...
@Matzes Ah, gotcha! To be honest, the ending of the ACR is always problematic for me. Card to ringbox would be ideal, in the context of Tommy Wonder's routine, but I'm not there yet, theatrically speaking.
So what's left? Sometimes I end with card to mouth, but I had just done a repeated card under box routine that had a card to mouth phase, so it would have been inappropriate. Pop-up move? It still somehow lacks closure.
@Matzes Most of the time I have another phase after this that ends with the card in my mouth, then I put the card back in the deck and hand them the deck saying: "You can keep this a souvenir." Then as an afterthought I add: "Actually, it would make more sense for you to keep this card," and I pull their card out of my pocket, "and for me to have the deck back, so I can do some more magic."
The lack of a "true" ending is why I don't often perform the ACR. Suggestions welcome!
Great job working with the kid. You made him feel a bit of magic. Wonderful performance.

@unmungo I don't know what ending you are using..:I was just sure this isn't the end of your routine...or is it?

What "seals" the trick? How do you end?
